  1. Looking great Paul, the green machine is coming along nicely
  2. Yup. Just wait for comments from your neighbours like "you do know thats an exhuaust your polishing" (I got that from my neighbbour who was impressed he waxed his H reg banger with 39p furniture wax )
  3. No, buy pads from a trader and fit them yourself! Definately win/win!

    Carbon bonnet

what are the prices approximately then? +1 for the Varis bonnet price? You'd have to PM a trader for an exact price, but I think they were around the £750 mark.

Yup Phil agrees that Varis is far superior fit. Thats why I went for the Varis lip. Weave and fit is perfect, but you do pay for it
  6. Nope, nothing for me. Their too slow to write down the plate Also only 2 reports on Zeds and both for mis-represented plates
  7. Yeah but you fill up 2x as often! Also, just wait for a big service. My mates 8 cost him a arm and a leg at his last service, but he did need quite a bit doing. Probably on par with the Zed. On MPG, I'd have to say when gunning it they are about the same as the Zed, but on motorway driving, my mates 8 only ever sees about 22MPG whereas I get 29-30MPG for the same drive Each to their own. Evos are very good for tuning. The engine is built very well which means decent power hikes dont cost the earth.
  8. Yup as the others have said, its dead easy. Go careful on the trim pieces, the clips can be broken pretty easily. Just take it easy, find where the clips are (in service manual) and pry them away.
  9. I know the karate kid is legendary, but his waxing technique is poor. He doesnt even use the 2BM for washing. He need more practice and to read DetailingWorld!
  10. Gutted if its the 'reasonably priced car'. Yeah ditto. Given it would be a very fast lap even in a poor car, but you'd assume they'd have one performace car there on the day to use!
  11. Dont forget cleaning and waxing the GTR. White is not allowed to be dirty. I want to see a nice layer of protection on it next time I see it - think it deserves some premium wax like Swissvax or Dodojuice Supernatural on it
  12. Search for the service manual. It tells you all you need to know in there. Be careful with the plastic around the steering column, it takes quite a bit of force to snap them apart, so dont break anything
  13. That sounds like damn good value! My old dear got me a track experience on her Tesco club card points. Was meant to be about £350 for ~5 laps in a Cayman, Aston V8 Vantage and Forumlar Renault at Thruxton. Was a brill day and well worth it as it only cost my old dear about £80 in vouchers (£1 in vouchers is worth £4 on offers)
  14. Got to get me one of them! Stop pikies parking next to me at work
  15. Sorry to hear that Andrew. He didnt seem 100% in Godalming from what I remember. Hope he has a speedy recovery, dont let him back to ESR too quicky, I know what hes like, get plenty of rest!
  16. I voted for some colourful ones I think Yup in fact I picked a blue one and a more unique colour one too, oh and a boring one of course, I had to
  17. When you had it fitted did they remove the counter weight in the boot lid? If not, get that removed, then look at uprated struts.
  18. You actually dont need the quad lnb Chris, thats only if you intend to use sky as well or supply more than one freesat receiver But for the cost you may as well get one, but a single or dual output would do. See what cheap sky dish's are on ebay and have a go at fitting it yourself. Cool Quad LNB was there with the intention to get a FoxSat for the living room for now and upgrade it to the PVR version when I can convice the other half to let me and stick the original FoxSat in the bedroom, so would need at least 3 outputs Oh and would wire up the 2 cables to the livingroom in the initial install so not to have to touch them again. I guess I'm going to need a crimp tool of some sort to terminate the cables?
  19. Do a search, it depends what you want done. Many go for uprated cluctches and lightened flywheels while they are at it as it doesnt work out much more and gives a more responsive drive. Bigphil is usually a good contender for getting these from
  20. Better bloody not be! Its gonna cost me enough in petrol let alone congestion charges Should get some good photies though
  21. This is just stupid! They make no gain from their service and as such it should be free. Only profit making organisations should have to pay for this kind of thing. This world is getting more messed up by the day! Signed
  22. So dish, cable, quad LNB off ebay and away we go? This sounds like a new tempting plan. All my neighbours in the row of houses all have Sky, we're the only one where the previous owner had cable. So should be easy to get the position right off them
  23. You need the box, dish and the installation. Argos do installation with the box for £80 extra, so I guess to get someone in to do it would cost about the same. Thats why I said it would cost about £200. Very tempting considering what I spent on the TV to get HD and then not use it for anything other than xbox!
  24. Yup me too. Mark - can we have a link to the google maps route when your done? Would make it easier to put in the sat nav. I also have a spare seat, but trying to convince the other half to come. What time do we plan to get to Brighton, and is anything else planned when we are there? I have a mate down there, might pay her a visit if it isnt too late.
  25. Not really bothered about the distrobution of other stuff as I already have cabling for it or no need for it. Would only be interested in FreeSat Neither are massively expesive though, so thats good to know.
