  1. I'm chasing the Barrel of Biscuits. Do you have any tea to go with em? Yum
  2. I have 18x8.5(F) and 18x9.5 ® and I think the tyres are 245/35/18 and 275/35/18 respectively. Reduces the RR by about 5% IIRC. I'll do a search in a mo, these a few comparison threads for RRs where I posted my sizes, brb .... Oh and they are Falken 452's I beleive EDIT: My tyres are 245/35/18 and 275/35/18. Reduced RR over stock, but keeps the front to rear stagger (RR wise, not width wise) so TC isnt effected.
  3. They are very cool. Last time I was at the Top Gear Live thing (couple of years back) they had one. MLR were looking to buy one or two to lend to club members for track days. Its fully configurable so you can have the OSD whereever you want it, and can download new tracks etc, and if you are the first to use a particular track, you can upload it to them!
  4. Right, I've given up. I've restarted with "The Fair Lady 2". Put me back in a bit more contention now I havent been mored up for a weekend Confusingly. although my old boat is further from the finish, it has a higher place! How does the ranking work?!
  5. Does rather depend on how bad the scratches and scuffs were and how good they are with a machine polished. I'd suggest if there is a pro detailer near you (a few on here), get them to cast an eye over it. More damage than good can be done with a machine polisher in the wrong hands. I'm not saying they will not have done a good job, but sometimes its hard to spot until its too late. The Zeds paint is anorexic at best, never mind taking some more off! I'm probably being anal though
  6. I did wonder how it had made it to 4 pages in the hour or so I have been away
  7. Sure I recognise that reg. Did someone on here have it at some point?
  8. Get a blower for in the pits? Point it over the exhaust when you come in? Or take a longer cool down lap(s)?
  9. Its only because I didnt check it over the weekend I need a turbo baby! What happens if I create a second boat, where would that start? Do they dump you in the middle of the field to start?
  10. Have you thought about reducing the profile of the tyres (RR front to rear ratio the same obviously)? When I got my Rotas from Phil, he put a lower than stock profile Falkens on (lower RR) which firmed up the side walls and gives less flex apparently. Might be worth a go if you stick with Falkens. NO issues with TC as the front to rear ratio of RR remains the same.
  11. Indeed - I was made to watch it and she was the only thing worth watching
  12. I'd check the paper work carefully, and act on Sarnies advice if needs be. Did you have anyone with you when you had the agreements made? Verbal contracts can be just as binding as those on paper from what I've heard, so if you had a witness (I always take the missus or a mate), then they probably cant withold it. Shame you used debit card if the worst comes to it, as if it was CC they would act on your behalf if they didnt pay it back.
  13. +1 - and as the others have said, I cant see any benefit in importing one TBH. If you decide it will be cheaper, I've heard bad things about Bonsai, mainly around hidden charges. Jurgen@JM Imports and Torque GT both get goot reviews on here.
  14. i thought it was an apt name for a fat boat. Damnit, you just started and you're beating me. And I've just run aground! I tell ya, dont take your eye off the game
  15. Nice description on technosquare about how the ECU adapts. The do a flashing service which alters the parameters so allows for mods. http://www.technosquareinc.com/nissanintro.htm You wont see 100% throttle on even a stock 350z. Its not tuned to use 100% throttle as far as I can tell, it doesnt get anywhere near it, and it makes perfect sense to put a part in that is working well within its limits so thats what I'd expect. The throttle can flow more air than the engine needs, so it never needs to open 100% and doing so wouldnt make any difference as the engine doesnt want the extra air. With a remap, it'll use the extra air, but I doubt the throttle needs to be open 100% then either, but it will
  16. I wait until Oil pressure reads in the middle of the gauge for normal cruising, plus another few mins, then I think it should be nice and warm, then I can play
  17. I'm stuck with no wind. Lost another 1k places. Can anyone give me a tow to some wind? Teach me not to play all weekend
  18. Yup as MrLizard says you can get gains from a piggy back ECU, but you need silly money for that for what you get. Piggyback ECU will be the best part of £1k, mapping another £500, fuel you burn doing it, say £100 maybe. I reckon you might be lucky and get it all in for £1500. All for about a max of 40BHP Get suspension and better brakes and some advanced driver training. You benefit from that a hell of a lot more
  19. I'd be well up for it but its just too far from me. Think we should book a day to coincide with a Wales run, then I've got the excuse
  20. Sent it to the missus and she wants one too. Now just need to find £30k
  21. +1 - especially as soon my Zed will need clutch (and flywheel ) and a new bonnet as the current one is rusting from underneath the paint. Really good write up, will be good to see what it can do in the UK. I will definately be taking a test drive when either Basingstoke or Slough Nissan get one
  22. I'd guess CGI, you'd have all sorts of groups on your back if you did that to kids using electric probes Saw this a few days ago. Thanks to our new Foxsat HDR box, I could rewind it and watch it again and again!
  23. Yeah that seems to ring a bell with me too
