  1. Looks like a good match chap. Proof in the pudding is when they put it back on the car though.
  2. If it's part of the structure then yes it would...... +1 - although I could see on a van that it might not be and it might be ok to repair. For the sake of £70 I'd have it done to be sure
  3. Does the fog have to be in seperate housing from the reverse light though? What I saw is that when one chap fitted a new clear fog light cluster, he cut a new hole next to the fog light and stuck the second reverse light in the same part of the fog light, but obviously operated by the reverse light. I'll have to dig out the thread.
  4. Yes its good what they can do these days. One bit I am dubious about though, is your story of the crack. I've always been told they can only repair chips no bigger than say a £1 coin, as the windscreen is an intergral part of the saftey structure of most cars and anything bigger than a sligh chip can comprimise its strength. Thats not to mean that Autoglass dont try and get people to get a new screen when they dont need it, they probably do. But anything more than a chip and I'd want a new screen!
  5. Its been done on the "other side". There was a writeup of a chap who did the clear fog light conversion, and while he was there he stuck in an extra reverse light into the cluster with the fog. Look quite neat
  6. As they said the dealer, I would expect it was not a detailer but a body shop tech that did it. My personal recommendations for sealant (not inc the ones above, they are good too) is Autoglym (AG) Extra Gloss Protection (EGP). Doddle to apply and lasts quite a while. Make sure you leave it on overnight in the garage if you can. Also do a couple of layers. For wax, anything in the Dodo range. Paul will tell you which suits your car, or Matt of i4detailing is a good lad, he'll point you in the right direction. We get a discount at i4d too I have Dodo Supernatural, and its f'in brilliant! Bit expensive mind. Oh and I would recommend you use something like Dodo Lime Prime to get rid of any nasties from the paint as machine polishing wont get rid of everything. Will give you a glossy shine to work with the sealant and wax.
  7. I'm with DJsickboy. Thats what I've heard before. TC is ignition cut and ESP uses brakes.
  8. So the exhaust went a bit Digsy???? Aye, but at least he knew what caused it. For me its still a mystery. Givent he lack of resistance put up by the missus to get this, I think it must have been her. She did a good job of hiding the damange if she did as I cant see a mark on it
  9. Cheers chaps. I had the bad news when my car came back from the body shop, that although they replaced my bumper (did a cracking job), they didnt think the insurance company would pay out for a new exhaust. I taked to their head tech guy for about 30mins and although he agrees its wonkey, its the left tip thats off and she hit me on the right. Also there appear to be no marks/scratches/etc on the exhaust, so they cant persue it. Said that the hangers were all straight and good but the pipe from the tip to back box is bent. If they replaced it and the ins company didnt pay out, I'd have to pay for it. So I took the excuse to get Adrian's
  10. Thats a strongly generalized view of men some of us actually have brains! Bump it on the 12th,13th,14th,15th,and 16th and maybe they will remember Probably not, I'll still forget by the time I get home from work
  11. Nismo, what Nismo, no Nismo for sale around here, off you all go
  12. Missed this first time around, but I had MPS on my Rays first time around and have the Falkens on my Rotas. I have to agree with the others, if price isnt a problem then get the MPS. They are slightly better in the dry and quite a bit better in the wet, but not enough to keep me on them. I do so many motorway miles, its just not worth the premium, and if I were you I'd go Falken
  13. I take it that means you dont have the washers? How does that effect the MOT? Guess they dont care as loads of people uprate their standard lights on other cars to HIDs with no probs. Just curious
  14. Sorry to hear this Andrew. Mine and Amanda's thoughts are with you all.
  15. Chris`I

    Doors???

Yup Andy and Zedrush are the ones to talk to about it. IIRC Zedrush tried the cheaper ones and then got the same as Andy in the end
  16. I'll try make it. Someone remind me on the Monday this time
  17. I'll be following you again then
  18. +1 - took me a while to realise this when I just got the car. Thought it was very weird on a spirited drive to see the gauge drop low and DTE start flashing and then took it easy on the way home as it only had 20miles left and then it went back up and stopped flashing!
  19. Not the Ultimax, but the Turbo groved, and the same principal of the coating to stop rust. Should have probably been clearer, its not on the braking surface, but embedded into the grooves. I tried to clean them out with a vigarous wash, but its definately hardened onto the coating They have also got it on the bell (the bit around the hub if thats the right word). You can see where they've washed it as the rust on the bell flows off it like water would have. At some point I will carefully paint the grooves and bell to get rid of it. I get surface rust all the time, this is perfectly normal and doesnt worry me as it comes off after a couple of applications of the brakes
  20. As long as Nissan dont fit them! Nissan B'stoke somehow managed to fill mine a rusty colour! I can only imagine that they "bedded" them in and then washed it after it had cooled down. Tuning it all rusty Bastwards
  21. This vastly depends on how you drive the car when the tank is "empty". I'd say there are a fair few miles left in it if you drive like a granny, say 50-60, but if you boot it all the way to the garage, you could probably drain it in a lot less than that! lol.
  22. I'm pretty damn sure my heated seats only come on with ignition. Cant check though as I dont have it atm. Probably missed something but what has your HU got to do with the seats?
  23. Is that the OEM Nissan "carbon" finisher? They are crazy money for what they are. Sold mine to Lomoto for £25, dearlers wanted about 10x that!
