  1. No idea why, wasnt going past the exiges there, i have driven an elise on the track (and an exige) and didnt think that much to the elise, never driven or been in a vx and it might be down to skill but who knows, as has already been said stock vs non stock is another argument.. Most likely down to the driver And IIRC your car isnt exactly stock? Wasnt it you who has the big AP brake kit and suspension upgrades?
  2. 1. Mark 2. S1 HNK 3. Ian 4. James (Randomfry) 5. Chris`I (TBC) TBC atm as its quite a long way off mate!
  3. IMHO if you move to within distance of a race track where you can hear it, tough titty if you get annoyed by the noise. I can see the point if they suddenly change the noise level limit or something, but most of these tracks are being strangled becuase muppets move in then start to moan about the noise which has been there for centuries! Afterall I'm sure it was less than a year ago we had a similar thing with Castle Coombe. It does seem in this case though that Crofts has been revamped and attracted much bigger events (not sure on how recent that was) which could be why they are complaining.
  4. I dont get what we are signing. In the details it says I'm afraid something that lacking in detail is unlikely to get any kind of response I do agree however that these rich feckers who move near a track should not be able to bitch about it and try and have them closed down. It should be a part of the local area and if you move into it tough titty!
  5. Definately not turbo cars. Does my nut when people say they're car is quicker that something else, to find its a turbo car and all they've done is up the boost. Yes its quicker, well done, their a piece of p!ss to modify! Typical of Evo drivers. Still they shut up when their missus say they prefer the Zeds looks and comfort
  6. I did a quick google and most of the issues seem to be around turning on rather than off. If you turn on the TV before the Xbox it doesnt do the handshake properly (part of HDCP or whatever its called) and so the TV doesnt select the input for the Xbox. Not seen anyting about turning off, but doesnt mean it wouldnt do something similar! Just make sure you turn over the TV chanel first or use component rather than HDMI. Also are there any settings fr HDCP in the Xbox setup? I dont have an Elite so no HDMI for me

    P3 SERVICE...

If you have a past service tick sheet, all the bits are one there under the various headings of P1, P2 and P3. Plugs should not need doing after 23k miles, thats crap! Diff oil I seem to remember is only done on non-visous coupling types, of which ours are a viscous coupling type so it doesnt need doing. Brake fluid is technically every 2 years. What I have learnt is to tell them what needs doing to make sure they do it right!!
  8. I think you might be on the right lines. I seem to rember that there is a problem with some Samsung TVs and XB360s around HDMI. Its about the signal switching and it gets it knickers in a twist. I think the XB360 might not termiate the connection properly and so the Sammy throws a fit. Do a bit of googling, I'm sure its out there

    P3 SERVICE...

I beleive plugs are 54k miles service, definately not done every P3. Not sure on diff oil either, I dont think thats done. Infact I seem to remember we always have discussions about the difference between P2 and P3 as they are the same bar the diff oil and on ours the diff oil doesnt get changed! So why do we get charged more for a P3 when no extra work is done!?!? There is a sheet around here somewhere with the points for each service on it. Someone will be along with the link
  10. I thought RC Developement went under? Was a thread on the MLR just before Phil picked up his GTR? Also what fudge factor did they use to get from wheel to fly figures? Could it be they used a really low figure and hence fly figures are low?
  11. Just leave it in gear with no hand brake. Thats what I do now, no more pad prints
  12. My body clock wakes me up at 6am for work every day, including weekends, usually annoys me to hell but this time its good timing
  13. +1 - when I first let the missus drive mine, I told her to boot it down the slip road. She was amazed when she looked that the speedo to see nearly 3 figures! Its very very deceptive
  14. I'll give you a snikers bar if it is! Does it have a piggy back ECU? If not someones been tellin ya porkies
  15. Yup Adrian has the red nuts, I've seen them
  16. The Evo chaps use them alot. But if you thought DS2500 squeal a lot, you gotta hear the Carbotechs! Christ, they are never quiet at any speed!
  17. I guess the only question remaining then is can these spacers make any of the cylinders run lean? Surely if all cylinders are getting equal (enough) air flow, and the various sensors are working correctly, the ECU will set the AF ratio correctly and you shouldnt get any cylinders running lean?
  18. The iGo nav software is quality. I have it on my CarPC after seeing the demo of this on the forum. Cracking bit of kit. Did you get it to auto turn on with the ignition? I think that was the only thing it was missing when you first made it
  19. Powers in the numbers! If both of us get there we can take both ramps and he'll have to wait
  20. Ta for the info Fletch. The car is pretty high mileage, at just above 62k, so I think a new Y to centre section gasket would be a good idea. Dan is doing me one for a tenna, so I'd rather replace it and be happy. Hopefully the Nismo centre section and back box connection will be fine and wont need any new bits
  21. 2k in a year is nice. My Zed lost about 3k probably in 2 - 2 1/2 years and about 6k in the last 6 months. Yup. When I got mine, they were holding value really well. 3yr old with 30k miles were about £18k. Now you can get a new one for that! Thats in 2 years, most of it in the last 6-8 months Still bodes well for when I want a nearly new 370z, if there will be any around. Reckon everyone will want a nearly new one just so they dont take the biggest hit on it!
  22. Doesnt sound good mate! I got half way to Reading on the A33 to find it was closed both ways so headed home. Kept an eye on the BBC traffic site for it to clear, gave it half an hour and headed to work. Traffic was slow but the ice had gone thankfully. Sounds like you had a right mare!
