Not had a bad report of them for a while and I just had another top notch service off them. Mentioning 350z-uk also gets you a discount (varies depending on the service)
  5. We wanna see where its mounted (and if its going to fall off )
  6. I wanna do the sky jump! :teeth:
  7. Bolds are seized on, and given I snapped one yesterday I dont want to push my luck! The TB is partially open anyway at resting so some of the cleaner will have gotten through. So its solved my problem and everything is hunky dorey. Dont want to upset it
  8. Damn, maybe I need to phone my man at Admiral back and work out some commission for this ....
  9. Yeah, especially if you just pop off the intake tube, its like one bolt and one hose clamp!
  10. Halfrauds sell Wynns TB Cleaner. Its just a spray on job. All I did was to remove the intake tube (only need to remove the TB end, theres flex in the hose), put a rag under the TB to catch run off and spray bursts of it around the TB. Wipe away any excess and start the engine. Repeated it a few times and runs sweet now. I puposefully didnt want to touch the TB butterfly plate as I heard this can send the TB out of sync and cause problems. Seems it doesnt cause problems moving it, but until more people do it, I will stick to my slow and steady method. Has anyone thought of fitting a oil catch can to stop it gunking up? Is that the idea of a catch can?
  11. Indeed! They did go off to one of the countries best refubers (not just my local Chips Away - I think it was Spit and Polish), and the finish is amazing. Some f'er cut me up a week after and I kerbed them slightly and the laquer was about 1/4" thick! Thicker than I'd ever seen before. Resists stone chips completely. Thats what you pay for
  12. You know the answer to that, she needs a toy too. If she could afford to run one, I would let her have mine when I get a 370z in a year to two's time. She just cant afford to run it. Maybe in a few years though. No denying she is a good driver though, given her lack of experience in the Zed, she was lapping the Evo triangle rather quickly in the rain, faster than most did it the following day in the dry!
  13. No age limits mentioned. I've been insured with Elephant or Admiral for 5years now and I'm only 26. They've always been very good for young people with fast cars. Just dont tell the reckless ones that make loads of claims, I dont want my premium going up
  14. Will that not have gone up with the exchange rate now? I thought the optimistic numbers were £5.5k and that was when Envy were first stocking it.
  15. Nope, it runs from when your first car needs insurance and the second runs pro-rata for the remainder of the year. Then the next year they both run together. I had to do this last year.
  16. Was just thinking that m self I would assume there is a limit to claims, just like normal insurance. They will just hammer you with your premium or take away your NCB. If your NCB is protected or guarenteed though, it gives you a few claims before they hit you. Will let you know all the details when the literature arrives for it. As I said, its brand new and the fella didnt know every last detail about it so told me to read the T&Cs carefully when I get it and if I dont like it they have a 14 day cooling off period so I can cancel it
  17. From what i belive Elephant and Admiral are part of the same company as such, i was on elepahnt, only reason i went admiral was for multi-car policy Yup, same parent company. Infact their share the same office address in Cardiff! I used to flip flop between Elephant and Admiral as one used to be a bit cheaper than the others renewal. With multicar only on Admiral, it ballses that up a bit
  18. Cheers Lee, will get a pick when I get home. No rush, I have a decent machine bolt in there atm, just looks odd being bright and shiney
  19. Yup, plus a bit more down south I paid £350 for all my wheels to be powdercoated with a machined lip
  20. Yes I have multicar, saved a fortune. I think the only people that would have come close was Chris Knott, but now they dont do under 25s, I cant use them as the missus has to be able to drive my car. The optional upgrade for mods is very new, I was the first person he had done it on. I am going to see how much it comes out at, but even at £35 it will be a bargin if I break my Varis lip or something. Oh and I forgot to say, with this option, there is a £50 excess if you are claiming off this rather than the main policy. So if I claimed for my lip, it would only cost £50, not the full excess. If you claim on the normal premium, say in a big accident, then you would pay that excess but the mods are still covered Will ammend my original post WRT the excess.
  21. Sounds like you are on top of it mate, just a shame that the technicians seem totally inept. Any good mechanic knows that not all faults will be shown on the the diagnostics machine as that requires a part to compeletely fail usually and some sensor to pick it up. For example, my car was recently stalling when I started it. That didnt throw any error codes, but it was a sticky throttle causing it. Cleaning out the throttle body solved it. If I had taken it to Nissan, they'd have probably said nothing was wrong! Just keep pushing them and they'll get there in the end
  22. Thought I would post this up as I had a nice convo with a Canadian chap from Admiral last night about my renewal. He managed to save us a bundle over the renewal price, but interestingly there was a new option regarding mods to the car. There is a new option on Admiral, where you can declare all mods, but also have them covered upto £500 for a single item. For somewhere between £6-£35 a year, they will cover your mods like for like. Whereas before they would insure you with mods, but not replace if you damaged them, they will now cover mods under this new option. Its brand new and not been running for long at all. I can now be happy that things like my Varis carbon lip are now covered whereas before they werent! This has a £50 excess for each item/claim, rather than your usual excess. If you have a big accident though it will be processed through a normal claim and your normal excess applies but the mods are covered. I know a few of you are with Admiral, so try giving them a ring and see how much more it will cost you
