  1. If you are serious then I would recommend getting onto Matt@i4detailing (hes on here), Envy or Polished Bliss. Get them on the phone, explain what you want to achive and what the budget is. They will tell you the option available and recommend something and can have it posted out in time for the weekend. Get it done tomorrow AM to make sure you have it otherwise its going to be a trip down Halfords on Saturday AM! I recommend Dodo Juice products from what I've used of them, the waxes are excellent, better than P21S as they last longer
  2. i have the instructions for my kit i think in the boot of my car, as i fitted my grounding kit at the weekend. you can have them if you like as mine are all in place. if you come over at the weekend i'll even help you fit it if i'm free. Sounds like a plan There are instructions on the net too, but it depends which kind of kit you have. Depending on the number of wires, some route to different places.
  3. That would be the upper end of the price braket, but soooo worth it
  4. I'd watch your engine bay if your taking that tone. Rob will come and remove all the bits that were on his first
  5. lotuscc has one accoriding to his sig
  6. I'd have to disagree, Mart. I don't know anyone, however careful, who has got a set of Volks sucessfully through a UK winter - without locking the car in the garage for 4 months of course! Me Infact 2 winters now Got mine from Envy but had a 5 month wait for them You don't count, smartarse, as you don't have a polished lip! +1! Plain painted ones do fine, its the machined lips that suffer.
  7. I know its great isn't it? never have to give anyone a lift R Bloody priceless that is! Can no go places at the speed I want rather than having passenger nagging I think comparitively, it costs about the same to run as my old Leon FR (Cupra). So givent the performance, its excellent value for money!
  8. Did Mark give up getting the panel gap equal all the way around in the end then? Was expecting him to get some callipers out I head the Varis front difuser is good, and will go nicely with your CF lip if you have loads of money Bullet old boy (not that you can see it!!!)
  9. Just be nice to the Recaros, they will take the same beating. I need aftermarket seats as I cant have my car off the road while the retrim is being done and I'm using it as a good excuse
  10. Typically yes, but not always. I remember Phil weighed the 18" Rota against an 18" Nismo and the difference was pretty small. Certainly not enough to call the Rota heavy and the Nismo light! It depends who is doing the casting and forging. Remember Rays (or their subsiduries) do cast wheels too

    DOT 4 Question

Dont know about that. I and a lot of others use Motul RBF600 which is a DOT4 synthetic with the boiling points of a DOT5.1. Win win all round

    MREV2

Looks good bud. Will be interesting to see the results. Dont go jumping for joy straight away though as the ECU takes some time to learn to cancel the mods, so if you dyno straight away it will look good, but do it again in a couple of weeks time and you might just be back to stock
  13. Dont get too excited. They were Alezan, but I recoloured them back and a pale grey centre. They looked mint, however in the high wear areas they cant take it and wear through to Alezan again in a matter of months Would only sell them on the proviso they were going to be retrimmed, I wouldnt be happy with someone using them worn as they are. Not sure on price, few hundred quid maybe. Retrim would be about £500, but they would be 10x better than stock leather then
  14. I think the main thing we need is a budget? I mean Dodo Supernatural is what, £80? Just for wax? That could be double or triple your intended budget
  15. TBH, given this is your first venture into detailing, I would suggest the Megs 3 stage as you can get it from Halfrauds. Give it a wash, clay, polish and wax. That should get you looking good enough for starters. If you want to get into it more seriously, then get onto the traders (Envy, i4detailing or even Polished Bliss). They will sort you out From Halfrauds I would get: Megs Clay bar kit - £18 ( http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165527 ) AG Starter Pack - £10 ( http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165671 ) Megs Stage 3 wax - £8.50 ( http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165527 ) The AG started pack gives you some samples of wash, polish (body and glass) and tar remover which is good for getting off stubborn bits that clay wont shift. Can be substitued for Megs Stage 1 + 2 but that costs a bit more. Depends how into it you are.
  16. Do as they do oop narth and cement some broken glass to the top wall. That'll teach the fecker
  17. New version of the software. Looks mighty fine, few more tweaks at it will be open to the great unwashed
  18. Not heard of it TBH, good nor bad. Just get a mate to help you do it. You cant really get it wrong. More chance of getting it wrong with a kit than the old 2 man (or woman) method
  19. Its very difficult to appreciate how deep and loud it is in the clip. Going somewhere like the Wales run is the best place, can hear them all next to each other
  20. Perfect it is! As with other Varis items, its amazing how well they make it fit. Fully justifies the price tag. Looks quality mate, just make sure you keep it all nice and clean
  21. I would say edit it to K1 style exhaust. Certainly looks good
  22. Not everyone can afford the real thing you know. Did you ever get your lip repaired? Nope still not properly repaired Currently repaired with rim tape Back in your corner then
