Chips on the front are purely relational to the number of miles the car has done. Nothing to do with being ragged. If I was visiting that dealer, I'd tell him I want a car with no chips what so ever otherwise its been ragged

I take it they follow the Nissan inspection points? If they do then thats a bargin. If they simply change your oil and kick your tyres (highly unlikely!) then you can just do that yourself and save £50

If they did a lot of dual carridgeway or motorway commuting then thats perfectly normal. I get about 29MPG on average with a 75mile commute per day with mostly m-way but some A roads and some fun roads Last Wales run I came back with an avg of 31MPG, and we werent hanging around in the front group

Prices have fallen a lot recently so you will get people even younger getting them now. I think when I got mine, early 20s was the youngest on here, but I think thats a lot more common now.

I take it they didnt do a P3 then? What about brake fluid? At 4yrs it needs changing again (every 2yrs max). As the others have said, cheap local garages are fine as long as you tell them about the bits that need doing specifiacally for the Zed (an old Nissan tick sheet is a good start!)

+1 - bringing clients with you, I dont see why they would turn you down if they have the space. I think your main problem may be you will be too busy and overrun their workshop when word gets out!

Make the dealership get one. They pretty much get them for free, so shouldnt argue with you. When I got mine, they had done HPI and about 4 other checks (inc RAC inspection) and they gave me all the certs to prove it. If they dont, then make friends with someone in your local Halfords. They can do them on the spot (although not meant to) for free if they like you
