depends on mileage, when its driven relative to when you fit the plenum, etc. There are galley's for the oil to drip back to the heads How do some get more than others? Is it a sign its been given a right good ragging?
  2. I wouldnt hold go live to add the garage, just do it as a future mod. The new software has a lot to offer that we can really use, so lets get it going
  3. Does seem to be a lack of interest this year. JapFest is one of the main ones I usually do, but it clashes with Wales this year JTS@Silverstone will hopefully still be on, thats a good show with some drifiting and time attack. And track time if you fancy it. I will probably do a session this year having been twice and wossied out of it twice.
  4. We can always look into it
  5. Depends what you are coming from as to if it will "feel" quick. It is a quick car, not any slower than a stock Evo. But the torque curve is so flat, and the power is so relentless, you dont realise how quick you are going. Takes a bit of getting used to and some find its boring as it never hits you in the back of the head with acceleration. But get it up onto its toes and its brilliant
  6. Loads of people have them. Theres a few pics of her in the harnesses so its all over the car club forums. Dont think anyone can claim to have done it first, other than maybe the guy whos car shes in
  7. Any idea on the go-live date? Looks great btw Not long bud. Most of the major problems have been worked out. I think theres only one show stopper outstanding, and a few little tweaks needed they we're good to go (so next week perhaps, so long as the solutions can be found)
  8. Maybe, they are more present on this forum that Kev/Gaz
  9. Yup thats what I thought. Shame really, I'm sure they would have made the money back in no time. Ho hum, I guess if they see this they might let us know why
  10. Oh I see, I thougth you were saying thats the full pic of his sig
  11. weird, I don't think mine does. If its definately a UK car then its been registered incorrectly. It should not be listed as a Fairlady as thats an import. I think you can check they are an import or not for sure with the VIN, but cant remember what the difference between them is UK vin starts with Z33, can't remember what the jdm starts with but its different Yeah I seemed to remember that was the case, but cant remember what the JDMs start with either. I remember looking at mine when I got my repair work done, and it was a really low number, so quite an old Zeddy!
  12. Sarnie's is a different pic, but taken from the same site, you can see the site in the bottom of your pic. Theres more on there too
  13. TBH I think you're better off sorting the suspension and ARBs than chasis bracing. Alex and Adam will probably be be along as they have more experience of this, but from what I understand, it doesnt do a massive amount for street driving other than shake your fillings out Not sure theres muich point doing it without sorting the suspension first.

  15. tuning is about 350....equipment about 700-800 maybe..not sure..thats about the best mod you can do after filter, spacer, exhaust to make the car the best drive Certainly tempting after you spend so much on all the breathing mods. Shame those Cobb things dont work in the UK. Did Envy ever get their reflashing service off the ground? That was going to be the best bang for buck mod out there, but I know to get it going was going to be expensive for them.
  16. I was thinking more about whats the cheapest way to do it NA? Pingu seemed to get very nice increases in torque on the daily driver rev range, which I think would make a big difference to how the car drives. Even though the peak increase doesnt look like much, for say £1k (if you could get something that cheap) then it might be worth it. Dont think any piggybacks with tuning will come in that low though.
  17. Man, we really need a sticky with all this stuff, prices and gains if we dont already have one! I assume that the gains for all chips given a basic NA tune (filter, exhause, plenum spacer) should be pretty similar? Do they all offer the same kind of tuning, just some offer more advanced features that are useful for FI?
  18. Yup, they are talking kack as usual! I'd suggest going for whichever comes out the cheapest, just make sure the ins company are happy with it otherwise in the event of a claim they may try and void the insurance
  19. The name for the 350z (and most other Zeds) in Japan is Fairlady Z. So all imports from Japan are Fairlady's. Either way it shouldnt make a difference!
