  1. Bit trippy, like you had a bit too much of something you shouldnt Like the engine bay one The others look a bit too busy for my liking.
  2. Nah you wouldnt want to do that
  3. On the switch there will be 2 +'ve and 2 -'ve legs. When I did my first car PC I just used a paperclip to work out which pair needed to be bridged and then soldered the wires to it. I suggest though that you solder a wire on 1 +'ve and 1-'ve leg and then use a choc block to connect that to the Carnetix loom. That way its easy to disconnect the laptop from the PSU
  4. Thats not cheeky at all. They cant charge you retail prices for an exhaust when they are using you as a template. I would expect money off for that, especially as you are on one of the biggest (if not biggest now) owners forums for the car which can get them a lot of business or lose them a lot depending on the outcome
  5. Definately needs some Nismo skirts, wheels and lip look aggressive, needs something on the sides to even it out
  6. And how much to map? Hopefully just as econmoical
  7. Two ways to test it: 1. Stick it in 6th when pootling along (30-40MPH) and floor it. If the revs rise quicker than the speed then its on its way out (it will be obvious) 2. Put the handbrake on and put it in gear. Let the clutch out. If it stalls you're ok, if it doesnt, erm, time for a new clutch, now! Not sure i Like the sounds of this method though, prefer the one above.
  8. I think its heating for the throttle body. Could be wrong. It doesnt turn off all the coolant, just to the throttle body. Not generally needed in this country, makes sod all difference. In the states where intake temps are much higher, I guess it can make a bit of a difference.
  9. Just check PP as I was feeling guilty that I didnt pay any fee, and in the summary it says Fee: £0.00GBP, so whatever I did, it didnt ask for a fee
  10. +1 - Thats what Adrian said to me when he was getting his decats done
  11. I didnt see anything about fees when I sent mine as Personal or whatever you said in the PM
  12. I think he owes you a few beers in Wales
  13. I think 42 in a 30 is too fast for them to let you do the course. Might be wrong, but I heard you can only be speeding by a little bit to get let off with that, say 35 in a 30. Remember an actual speed of 42 would be over 45 indicated on the speedo
  14. +1 - whos telling you to do this? Might be worth posting up what they are saying, as messing with the registry is like playing with your cars ECU, you really need to know what you are doing!
  15. Not heard of that before, nor can I find it on my350z.com, which can be a bad sign. There are plenty of very well regarded ECUs for around that price, which I would go with, Haltech being top of the list.
  16. Shame its not in HD though +1 I'm hoping the Beeb might be able to get the cameras they used for the Rugby to Silverstone, but I doubt it. Would be really good for a showcase which is what BBC HD is meant to be.
  17. Apart from the BBC HD test card So is there a full HD test card? Where is that? The only bbc hd i know of is on freesat and that is not full hd. Also depends what you consider "Full" HD. BBC HD (on Freesat, which I have ) is 1080i. While being the full resoluition, its only half the frame rate due to how the frames are constructed. We wont see 1080p broadcasts for a long time in this country due to the bandwidth needed. Although SkyHD do use 1080i@50fps which is about the same as 1080p@25fps. Confused yet?
  18. Its a cone filter, like a K&N, made by JWT and they chose to call it a PopCharger, and it might have something to do with the Venturi ring they use to differentiate between themselves and the competition?
