  1. Yes a better result than what might have been expected. But what were those dumb ass's doing at the end Oh god knows, but every little helps for us
  2. Well remembered Nix, HKS Speed Limit Defencer I think is what its called
  3. Nixy it well may also be worth uninstalling AVG I recently installed it on my dads's machine and it slowed his explorer down loads. I un installed it and it was fine. I really dont like AVG as a anti vius solution. Good point. I run AVG free and the most recent release slowed my PC down quite a bit. I'm planning on getting Kaspersky at some point. If running AVG on anything other than a recent PC then it might slow it down enough to cause the issue. Nixy are you running full AVG or AVG free? I think there are more features in full AVG which could slow it down even more. With AVG free, it does have a link scanner which may be causing the problem?
  4. Yes, JDM have a limit set to 112MPH. You can remove the limiter with a specific little box of tricks, try a search, you'll find plenty. BTW, you obviously found this out on your private road didnt you
  5. I wanted to go to the one at Wembley but was unfortunately busy. Seems like a good event to attend Oh and moved to Meets, Shows and Events section
  6. Think baking it is the only way. Pretty much the same on all headlamps. I know I would rather Paul did it as he has done many before and a good excuse to get some work done
  7. Thats not sounding good Andy. He sounds like a real muppet. He is! Mate I'm gutted for you. I guess you wont be using the same place again then! (thanks for the spiggott rings btw, havent driven on the new ones yet, but one of the old ones was mashed so sure it will smooth out the high speed drive )
  8. WHAT AN EXCELLENT RACE! Wont reveal who won for those wanting to watch it later, but everyone will be happy in the UK today!
  9. Agree with the above. Usually its one of the two.
  10. He was taking the trigger from the solenoid that unlocks the door. Thats what I was alliuding to first, but the BCM would be neater to tap into as you dont have to go to the door. Oooh, another idea, in the boot area there is a ruddy big loom powering the lights and most importantly the boot lock soleniod. Might be worth tracing that as it will have to come nicely past the rear cubby area. Means no chasing wires up to the front of the car The only thing that might confuse it is when you do a double unlock to unlock the passenger side. Hopefully you do it quick enough, its still in boot up lockout on the PSU so it wont do anything with the signal, but if you dont get the IGN on before boot up lockup timer runs out, it might try and shut it down again.
  11. There was an issue raised that large pics were causing horizontal scrolling. As a temporay measure there has been a limit of 800x600 pics. Chris is looking into getting the forum to auto resize the images for the page size on the fly. What you can do with photobucket, is use the thumbnail code rather than the full image code. That way you can keep the original at 1024x768 for viewing and smaller for on the forum page
  12. I have a feeling that all these "ages to do X" are specific PC related. The new forum was extensively tested by the team (myself, I tested on IE and FF on my personal laptop, work laptop, work PC, and Amandas work laptop) and all performed fine. Other members of the team did the same, so we covered off as many as the combos as possible. I think older PCs stuggle to "draw" the new forum as quickly as the old one as its new look takes more power. Still, it shouldnt take a lot of power to do it. Can those experiencing problems make sure IE is up to date and possibly test with FF to see if it behaves the same?
  13. Got a pic? The lense does have a UV type filter on it and can give a purple/green tint to it, but not quite what you describe. Due to the construction of the headlamp, I wouldnt expect you to be able to do much without baking it and taking it apart. Might be a good excuse to get Paul to work his magic
  14. Yup and both have a code of WV2. Apparently there are 2 forumulatons for it too. Chips Away ended up mixing both to get the right match for mine. No matter what they call it, the code will get you the right paint, or at least it should. As you have seen a test patch then its all good

Allegedly there may have been a potentially libellous statement in a post which was quickly removed That would explain why a mod removed it and PM'd those involved. If its something that needs to be made public then it will be posted.
  16. PM Fletch. I would expect they use the same stuff all the time, likely to be something like Motul RBF600 Do the brakes feel spongy in any way? If the level dropped enough you may have got some air in the system and you will need a full reflush of the system.
  17. Very odd. Sure the Admins will look into it. I cant see that any mods have been made to the PM system, it will be running out the box as it came from the phpBB release
  18. I shall have a look.....but just a thinking when the car unlocks the indicators flash(i think) so maybe this could be the way. By the way chris i brought a odb II adapter just wondering do you have yours plugged in all the time? Dont have my car at the moment but from the looks of it, it looks like it could pertrude a bit to much and get in the way....is that right or is it ok. Get yourself the service manual if you havent already. In section "BODY, LOCK & SECURITY SYSTEM" it tells you the pins of the BCM that are used. Sounds like it has permenant live and selective earth which could make it an arse to get it to trigger the PSU. For the OBD, I took the case off the plug and wrapped what was left in leccy tape. Made it nice and slim line. If you leave it as it is, it pertrudes out of the dash quite a bit.

I wasnt personally involved in the deletion of the posts or have any idea about what was in them, but I can confirm that they were deleted by the team and the OP was PM'd about it. Thats all I know
  20. Wont be hard to do once you find the right trigger cable. Try my350z.com, they seem to have the most knowledge of these things
  21. +1 A change in the colour would be good That would be a good idea. Sure the guys can arrange it PMs are working fine for me though, sent and recieved about 10 since the new forum went live, and all worked fine
  22. I like the idea of this.....any ideas chris? Sorry chaps no idea. Mine is triggered from the HU amp trigger My best guess would be to run a wire from the wires that trigger the door lock. No idea where they are though. A better place but harder to trace yet again would be to tap it from the BCM.
