  1. What flywheel do you have? I have heard of lots of reports that the Zed emits a cement mixer sound when a really light flywheel is fitted.
  2. Yeah, AFAIK, UK Zeds are limited to 155MPH. Gets there quite easily tbh, loads left in reserve!
  3. I am using a birdview so I could end up anywhere I suggest you print of the directions from DeVere then
  4. Good call, I'll take one with a hot tub I think they all have one (well 3 bed ones) In all seriousness, what level of accomodation are people expecting? As this is mine and Amandas main holiday this year (other than maybe away at Xmas for a few days), she wants something pretty decent. Dont want to split the group for those wanting to stay somewhere a little more modest, so want to know what people are looking for. Amanda doesnt mind looking for something and trying to haggle a price if we know how long each person will be staying.
  5. At least with the CEL on it means there will be codes to give you an idea of whats wrong. Do as Chris says and get a code reader on it ASAP and dont drive it
  6. Good change of plan Martin Still meet at 9am? Beware, that postcode doesnt get you to the right place in google maps, see the right directions here - http://www.deverevenues.co.uk/find-venu ... tions.html
  7. Not sure I've seen a UK manual. The US one is more than useful for pulling stuff apart. Worst case, its the oppoiste of what you see, but it gives you the invaluble guidance
  8. Nice comparison. I think the Zed held its own very well. Two major things I think they pass off or compeltely ignore. Firstly, they compare the Zed to the Cayman S because the S offers the same level of BHP. But it costs far more. The normal Cayman is the car you would be looking at in that price point. So how does it compare to a boggo standard one? Also, it might be cheap to buy a second hand Cayman, but whats the servicing and running costs like? Probably a hell of a lot more than a Zed. Still, I must agree that the handling of the Cayman is excellent, if a little lifeless. I drove one around Thruxton and was immediately at home, lots of feedback, but it was just too clinical, never wanting to play like the Zed does.
  9. Well done mate, I'm hoping to be done in the next 24hrs
  10. If it does then thats Zed folk law re-written As I said in the other thread Wilky had it fitted to his uk car and it worked, he just lost cruise control which I dont have anyway, I am very hopeful Ooooh. I thought Middlehurst stopped offering it as it didnt work. Will be good to see how you get on. How much performance does it offer?
  11. If it does then thats Zed folk law re-written
  12. Yeah but when they do I dont know how long it would be before I could make a trip over to the Chillis. If it lands on my doorstep I can fit it when I like
  13. Was just about to ask that Did the fans go mental when it was disconnected? I left on of mine off before and the fans kept going at full blast with ignition on If it wasnt that, then I would be suggesting the BCM as it does connect them, which is big money.
  14. haha, yeah right, you keep telling yourself that TBH, I will probably fit mine as soon as I get it, but I dont mind popping over to the Chillis to help others fit them
  15. Very good (maybe an idea to change the background too, or is that too difficult? - I know you like a challenge! )
  16. I dont see how you will fit it all up without taking the wheel off. Trust me, its dead easy to do, just make sure you disconnect the battery, pump the brake a bit (discharges whats left) then leave it say 10mins. I've had mine off about 3 times now, no problems, and no airbag light. Just dont chuck around the air bag Will make the whole thing easier and can have the cables inside the wheel hub
  17. Amanda would like to request that we stay here http://www.lodgesonlochness.com/index.htm
  18. Sorry to hear that mate. You know where we are if you need anything, keep ya chin up
  19. Not this again! No professionals this time
  20. I think you are the first honest Halfords employee I have heard off. At my local, they chuck it in the skip and salvage it later No point wasting it!
  21. I havent found Halfords paint matches to be the best in the world. I used paints4u last time I ordered some paint and they were spot on
  22. Yup, no pollent filter. Not had any issues with airflow in mine. Maybe a blockage somewhere thought. Try downloading the service manual (if you havent already) and trace through where the piping is routed.
