Iirc quite a few nismo exhausts have failed on the flexible joint when highflow cats or decats have been used, but seem to be fine with the standard cat. Thats a good point. They do flex too much or something if the decats dont have mounts like the standard cats? Does that make sense? I think the std cats had a mount to brace them and decats dont? Maybe too much flex for the Nismo Y-pipe to take. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt because of the worn braid as thats the same as mine

Thats very poor, and I am sure legally how they went about that isnt right. They have a binding contract with you and should those terms change, fair enough they can say they wont insure you any more, but they have to give the money back as they are breaking the contract not you. They were at fault so it should not have cost you anything. It should have been them terminating it and not you cancelling it. I know its too late now for you, but others should be aware that this shouldnt be taken.

+1 and extra to that, the market demographic is changing to a younger driver as the cars depreciate and these drivers are more likely to want to mod and remap. Potential gold mine with very quick ROI! Always been supprised that no one had done it before tbh. Just hope the tool you plan to use does actually work. We're a bit sceptical around these parts as more of the generic mappers claim to be able to do them then cant. Hopefully RSTuning will pull it off

+1 Did you take any comparison shots (one old and one new?)

Depends how old your car is tbh. Mine is a 53 reg and TGM needed to use the torch to get one bolt off. You also have the problem of shearing if you do it on your own in that you dont have a spare bolt! I would get a local exhaust place to do it as they can do it really easily and shouldnt cost a lot. I paid about £50 for mine to be done.

Yup, they all mention 2-2.2ohm, but cant see any mention of wattage. Cool. I assume by using a higher wattage resistor, its not going to do any harm? Just it can handle more should it need it? Not knowing much about electronics I dont know what damage I would do using the "wrong" wattage resistor. From a quick bit of googling, if it was too low it would burn out, if it was too high, well there doesnt seem to be a too high
