  1. That would require someone with more knowledge than I Wait for Adam and co for the answers on that one
  2. I used to use one, but saw the damage it did to my Leon. Where I live there are trees all around and they drop crap all the time in the wind. You dont see it, but it lands on the wet car and then does mark the paint. If you live in an area free from that kind of thing fair enough, its personal choice. The pat method doesnt need you to have a spotlessly clean towel as you arent dragging over the surface so it wont do damage And thats crap that the wiper doesnt mark the car. Course the wiper doesnt mark it, its the dirt under it that marks it
  3. Works for me bud and doesnt drag anything over the car so minimises swirls. I used to have loads of swirls, so got a random polisher to remove them. Since doing that, using the 2BM and pat drying, the swirls have stayed away Awesome, i am going to start doing that, thanks mate As taken from the Yoda of detailing known as Dave KG from Good Washing Guide: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/s ... php?t=4637
  4. Gets you half way there from what I understand. It makes the AFR correct (or as close as possible) but thats where it stops. Piggyback ECUs allow you access to other things such as timing advance which get you more power. So short answer is it does some of it

  6. Please tell me its not one of these I got a towel of Matt@i4detailing and its awesome. You basically lay it on the area to dry, pat it down, lift off and repeat on the next section. This way any dirt that is left is not dragged over the paint. You look like a nonce, but its works very very well. We get a discount with him too http://i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/I4D_U ... wel_1.html
  7. back chum. How goes your own fuel guzzler?

    Clear Fog light

The ones at JDM Performance are for a pair, so you at least get symmetry
  9. I'd be more concerned if no lights come on. That means your car doesnt realise the front wheels arent turning

    Clear Fog light

Close, but I beleive they are chrome ones and not the JDM/USDM ones which ESR used to do. Not seen them in the flesh but might be a bit bling.
  11. Does light up like a Christmas tree on the rollers All turns off after a quick run out though. Have to admit I was worried too when mine was done. Always a fun day out, even if our cars dont make any extra power off mods!
  12. yep, BBC have just this minute said its on the red button now. - was about to download it on iPlayer, but the quality is a bit pants on that and it ruins my bandwidth
  13. I'll look after your money for you
  14. Plenty of cars around in that price range, just wait for the right one to pop up. I would definately suggest going back and having a test drive, gives you a good excuse to get out and see what the Zed is all about
  15. Will be well worth it mate. If you end up being tired, you can always have a kip at Mikes in the afternoon

    Boot Clips

Around the side of it you should notice a notch. Stick a small flat screwdriver in there and the top should "pop" off slightly. Pull it a bit more and you should be able to remove it by the ring part. Hope that makes sense!
  17. I had a feeling a few people would say that! I have always used Megs and AG cleaning products in the past but I am quite interested in the Poor Boys stuff. Would Spray & Rinse do the job (edit-just noticed this is acidic too!?)? Also is wheel sealant actually any different to normal wax or just the same stuff in a different container? Thanks for the advice so far In all honesty, the PB Wheel Sealant is probably just like any other sealant. Its not a wax, its more hard wearing than that. Something I quite often recommend to people is to get AG Extra Gloss Protection (EGP). This is a sealant much like PB wheel but PB claim that theres is more heat resistant to resist baking on of brake dust. Dont know if its true, but my wheels are still easy to clean, so it doing something right!
  18. As Sarnie said, the percieved value is down to the owner. I'm sure if I stumped up the cash for Cayman S instead of the Zed, I would have convinced myself it was worth it, but in all honesty I have more fun modding it now its worth feck all as I cant really destroy the residuals that much An Aston is next on my list, and thats quite a price hike from a Zed, even for a second hand one
  19. +1 on the USDM. Most cars over here only have them when using run flat tyres, which I believe is UK law as with run flats you cant easily tell if they lose pressure. Zed doesnt have them so we're all ok
  20. Bilberry is fine if you dilute it to the specs. Could try detailersworld and see what they recommend as the dilution ratio on there. Since using PB Wheel Sealant, I honestly have never had need for wheel cleaners.
  21. The main thing I noticed when test driving a Caymann S was the cabin. Its so much nicer and better built that the Nissan. But I simply could not take that hit of extra cost for a better cabin. Driving wise, the Caymann was much more solid and planted, but felt a bit dull. I like the fact that the Zed is a bit of a brute and needs a bit of driver interaction to get the best from it. Hopefully the new 370z will shrink the gap even more between us and Porsche, but I dont think they can be considered the same league at all.
  22. Step away from the Wonder Wheels! It destroys alloys no matter what the coating, it will eventually damage them. I suggest (and you wont like it, its a lot of effort and time), you get the wheels off, clean them normally, clay them to get off the brake dust and then when nice and clean, coat them in wheel sealant like PoorBoys. Takes ages, but once dont, you dont need any nasty acidic wheel cleaners, just an old washmitt and normal water and shampoo. Cleans up dead easy
  23. Thats the way I did it
