  1. One listen is all you need The only better sound I have heard is an Aston V8
  2. Unfortunately I have to agree with the others. For £1300 you will only interest those wanting to go FI in the future, and also who have tuners who will use the Haltech (admittedly not many wont). For me I want a nice basic piggy back that is cheaper that can unleash a bit more mid range torque more than anything.
  3. +1 - where do you think Paul got inspriation for his car from?
  4. Cool, thanks Adam. I have a feeling the popcharger is hurting my power output Oh well it sounds good I guess
  5. If we didn't know you Jay I'd be sitting thinking a$$hole! He is an a$$hole, he hasnt bought me an Aston yet
  6. Last time I looked you were about 300,000 places behind Sorry, meant Mr Mac

    Whats he after now? Vinyls?
  8. I just didn't want to come out and say that because I don't know if the trim levels are all called the same thing worldwide, or if some countried get features others don't with certain trims Thats fair enough, sorry, I should caveat what I said with that is in the US. I'm trying to find out if all UK and JDM cars have the diff. I beleive that all UK cars do have them, but not sure on JDM.
  9. I hear reports that for FI applications they are cack, but for modest NA, it might be just what we need if its nice and cheap
  10. Come on Marty, I thought you were catching me up
  11. And track day enthusiasts
  12. Cool chum FWIW I think Ken was saying auto focus lenses will need manual focusing, but metering will still work. Plain manual focus lenses will obviously need manual focusing and metering wont work. Small but significant difference.
  13. Thanks for the informative post Adam. I'm amazed that you only saw a 2BHP difference from one dyno to the other, I've seen more variation than that between 2 DynoDynamics dynos before. What mods were used to achieve this? My car made 240WHP on a DynoDynamics, but I have a feeling that the popcharger negated any gains I got from my plenum spacer (intake temps were quite high, much higher than ambient). Also how did these mods effect the torque curve? I seem to remember that a member on here (maybe Ian) fitted decats (testpipes) and although it netted him some top end power, he lost quite a lot torque low down. I guess a remap might sort that bit out though.
  14. I'd be leaning on it needing anti-foulers too. I'm guessing thats that Alex has told you so worth a shot. If Nissan have checked the Cats and they are happy they are working properly, my guess is the O2 sensor doesnt like high flow cats. With regard to whether it is safe to drive or not, I would assume it is. It sounds like its just an emmisions thing its moaning about. Best to double check with Nissan (to keep the warrenty sweet) but they should say the same
  15. As Mark says, I think it would be quicker and easier to get a more generic fog light from Halfords or Demon Tweaks and mould it to the bumper. Unless the 370z was an exact fit (which it sounds like its not) I would not be paying the premium for it.
  16. For what? The plenum spacer as ab350z is not cancelled out as such as its doing something that has no effect on the variables that the ECU controls. It simple redistributes air more evenly to the front two cylinders as stock they are slightly starved. This means you get a better AFR in those cylinders and as such you get a bit more power/torque. From what I have read on the internet (via pretty reliable sources), the engine will try and keep the performance of the car within a specified limit. It runs as if no mods are there, so if it gets more flow (intake exahust etc), it will try to tune it out and get you back to stock. Taken from the Technosquare website:
  17. IIRC and what Adam is elluding to is that its only the "base" models that dont have LSDs. Anything more than base will have one
  18. The sooner you get it, the longer you use it for and the cheaper it works out per day So just get it and enjoy the noise
  19. How does the reserve list work on PH? Do the mods control it? I only ask as if you change it people at the top of the reserve list might get shirty. Might be better to leave it, but Maz take your place on the day
  20. Indeedy. Just make sure from now on that whenever the brakes are warm/hot you dont apply them to a standstill. I used to get this a bit, but now just brake until almost at a stop and then let the car roll to a stop. Obviously in traffic just leave a nice big gap so you dont have to stop dead. I also used to get it from parking with the handbrake on when the brakes were warm. Now park up with the car in gear and handbrake off when the brakes are warm
  21. Probably not best to discuss it on here, just in case the insuance assesor decides to pay a visit
  22. +1 - 52 plates are imports no matter what they try and tell you I have Z33 830 something which is a 53 plate, so shes quite an old girl now but still going strong!
  23. I'd do the convoy Martin. You make it for the Saturday drive and it will be excellent fun
