  1. By this do you mean actually leaving the applied coat of sealant overnight before buffing it off? I thought you were meant to leave it for only a few minutes before buffing off. Yes, apply and leave overnight if possible. AG now say not to leave it long, but do a bit of searching on Detailing World and you will find the truth. Apparently AG use to say to leave it on for about 12hrs to fully cure and bond to the paint, but as not many people can do that they didnt sell a lot. So now they say to just leave it for an hour or as long as possible. Best results are to be had if you can leave it overnight in a garage
  2. Ditto, not seen that before and I have had more out that most to add sound deadening and fit my carpc bits
  3. No spirited driving for us then. Probably best really See you all bright and early tomorrow
  4. Picky little bugger aint it Hopefully some OBD analysis should help you out
  5. Are the ramps the bits at the entrance to both side car parks? I can see them on Google maps. We'll stay in the middle
  6. I thought we were all staying at Stews, was looking forward to breakfast in bed As Stew says, I think some people are staying longer than others, so people are organising their own accomodation. I think I will likely be in some kind of holiday park challet thing if the other half gets her way.
  7. I'm sorry but thats completely wrong IMO. The whole point of a polish is to be a cutting compound. How they do this is either with a mechanical cutter (abrasive) or using chemicals. The idea is to prep the paint work (in most cases a clear coat) and remove any iregularties so that it is ready for LSPs such as sealants and waxes which protect your nice revitialised paint. Many polishes will contain very little cut and things like silicone to fill the swirls that are left, which is good for amateurs and enthusiasts (I use AG SRP on my car and it was machine polished a few months back but I didnt get 100% correction due to thin paint so this helps hide whats left), but true polish will not contain this instead having varying levels of cut (such as PB SSR range). Can I ask where you got the information from with regards sealing the paint before polishing? I have been a detailling enthusiast for more years than I care to remember and have never heard this approach before, and from the many writeups on here and DW, I cant ever see it being used
  8. See above, thats not the limiter, thats the shift light And you must still have a limiter otherwise you'd blow your engine up
  9. I'm still wining against the weather. Washed and clayed the car. Put it in the garage and polished it. Rained last night so managed to miss that, and then its sunny again today so been out waxing it
  10. I'm more worried about 200 cars waiting outside to get in. Have to looked on the map? They will be clogging the road right back to the motorway
  11. OK no worries. I just thought if we arrive 9 on the do with everyone else it will be madness! But if thats what they want, thats what they get How exactly are they planning to marshall 200 cars that all turn up at once? Or are we special and need to be there at 9am?
  12. Sounds pretty much exactly the same as mine. I got 240WHP and about the same torque at the wheels. I have a pop charger and plenum spacer, but I have a feeling that the pop charger let me down somewhat as my intake temps were quite high. I think if I were to get a remap and aim for more HP I would get rid of it for an 06 stock airbox. You gotta love the flat Zed torque curve
  13. OK dude, try this one out. Just dont expect it to be 100% stable! If something goes wrong, it might be an idea to download GraphEdit and connect to the process so that you can show me what graph it creates for you. Also might be an idea to set the devices to -1 in the config.ini file when you first start it otherwise it might moan. http://www.cingram1.plus.com/350z-uk/Release.rar
  14. Going to be working on that soon I think. The original one didnt, they just made it so you could load two versions. Not sure how we're going to do multiple cams, that gets a whole load more complicated if you want them combined into one capture output. Not even sure how we can do it yet! It gets very geeky to make that work. What are you wanting to do with multiple cams? Record 2 seperate streams or combine them in one? What I would like to do ultimately is get something like you see on the pro recorders where you have pitcure in picture, so say front facing being the main image and rear facing being inserted into a corner of it
  15. Need to get Curiosity's changes off him and get it compiled, then I can upload it for you to play. Its more stable now apparently
  16. Sounds to me like the brakes get a lof of abuse. I certainly wouldnt be using EBCs for that kind of track work. Try PMing ZMANALEX as he does a lot of track work too and see what he suggests. Most members on here never venture on a track, let alone doing 60 laps a day, so wont appreciate the abuse that gives the discs. After a fast road session by brakes are stupidly hot, so I just cant imagine what 60 laps in a day would do to them! I think with that kind of abuse you need to be looking at a much more uprated setup.
  17. Little something I've been helping code up on mp3car.com .... Camera capture with GPS overlay... a resurection of Prefects brilliant work. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/softwar ... rding.html . GPS overlay is taken from Curiosity, the guy who wrote the excellent xPort and hes currently helping me out in getting it ship shape. Allows you to record from any WDM capture device (web cam, tv tuner, capture card, USB dog cam) with sound and compression. And of course GPS overlay with can give a host of things such as speed, alt, pos, direct, etc. I want to get Curiosity to also add a breadcrum trail like on his Compass app so we can have trails if you are doing track work. (sorry for the crap pic) I'll try and get some proper footage soon. I did go for a blast down the A339 to Alton and recorded it, but the GPS overlay, errrm, was giving erroneous readouts If you want to try it out post up and I can upload the latest release for you to test. Could be good for you guys with CarPCs to record the outing at Wales and other meets I'm currently running the USB bullet cam from DogCamSports.
  18. In time for our little get together in your neck of the woods? Are you going to get another red one? I love that colour
  19. No, post whores should not be given the honour of a coloured name! We should just them
  20. Martin, we still up for meeting at your hotel at 9am bud? (De Vere Tilehouse Lane Denham, Buckinghamshire UB9 5DU - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&sourc ... 11237&z=14 ). Ben's convoying with me in his Evo so need to let him know of the plan.
