  1. +1 - its about the same for all waxes, somewhere between 10-15 mins to about half an hour. TBH you'll know as soon as you've left it too long as it will be a nightmare to remove. Too early and it will be a bit "smudgy" and not just wipe straight off. Get it just right and it will be nice and easy to remove with 2-3 passes of a MF cloth. Leave it 24hrs preferably before applying another coat for the first coat to completely cure (or just a few hours if you are impatient like me! But then only do 2 coats and leave them a few days to cure so its nice and set)
  2. Nice job they did finishing that
  3. +1 to it being too high. Wickes do one the same but a lot cheaper which is what I have. Its about 1cm too high so a couple of bits of wood and jobs a good un Jack (~£7.50)- http://www.wickes.co.uk/Motor-Accessori ... nvt/190381 2x Axle Stands (~£3.50)- http://www.wickes.co.uk/Motor-Accessori ... nvt/190385 I think the prices differ in store so kick up a fuss and they will match the web price, they did for me
  4. Wow that looks cracking! Wish I had some money to do it! I take it you need track day insurance for it?

    pop charger

Replacement filter for the popcharger? It cotton guaze, you just need to clean it and re-oil it
  10. Lower price now. viewtopic.php?f=41&t=20409&hilit=project Go Martin
  11. Maybe but relisted Wednesday. Thats why it was a question rather than a statement You should have dug out the old thread
  12. You'd need to have someone fabricate the mount. Basically on the pic above, the Halfords rack is literally what the bike is sat on, down to the mount (you can see the mounting pins at the bottom). It has been modified so that there is a mount bolt that feeds through it and into the tow eye (its behind the small removeable plastic piece just below the number plate). Two legs have also been added to stablise it and these mount up to the crash bar behind/inside the bumper. A fabricator could knock something similar up for you. This one was made by the previous owners Dad who was a motorsport fabricator. The kit is very well built.
  13. Get some Dodojuice and you'll see the difference between this and a proper wax. I was amazed at the difference DD SN2 made to my car, and it lasts as long as other sealants. I dont bother sealing my car now, just clean (clay, polish, etc) and put the DD was straight on. Sets super hard and lasts ages. It really makes you appreciate what popping flecks and deep shine really are
  14. Dude, you crack me up! I should stop reading your posts at work, everyone keeps staring at me
  15. Theres always an excuse to upgrade everything
  16. They're talking sh*te. The logic does work WRT lowering temps, it does get you more power but only to a certain extent (I think it was something like 1BHP for every 5C decrease in temp), but obviously you can only get down to ambient plus a few degrees at best - so no it wont reduce it by 150F, maybe 60F. Also this wont flow more than the standard airbox, its quite well known that the standard airbox has plenty of flow. But in theory, with a good filter on certain cars giving more flow and lower temps can net you about 15BHP (Evos for example)
  17. ?? Wasnt this advertised a while ago? Would make a good project if no hidden damage.
  18. +1 - You will be supprised at the price Adam can get you one. His delivery is stupidly quick too! Sarnie was quoting around a grand to get one from Adam recently. I think thats your best bet. Also, decide on what other mods you might like soon, as IIRC there is space in the Nismo box for things like plenum spacers etc with no extra shipping cost. This makes it much more weighted in your direction
  19. hi Chris, the finish has a satin sheen to it, not glossy like the laquared carbon you get heres a picture of the dash done (not my own work but using the same material) Looks good to me. Is the finish textured or smooth? Sorry hard to tell from the pic. Looks the nutts though. Probably get the centre console covered and maybe the bit over the transmission tunnel (armrest bit). Reckon you could do that? Will get some other bits flocked and it will look the nutts So reckon you can do my lights and that at the hoon on a night?
  20. Indeed and I have it now. However you do need to cut the rear bumper slightly. I'm not massively confident in it, I think it needs some more bracing or something. Its solid and I can hang off it, but it has some movement, which I think is in the rack and not the mount. Its basically a Halfords tow bar mount with a custom hook up to the Zed towing eye. This is it on the old owners car: Unfortunately, for a roadster the only off the shelf one you can get is the BIRD Automotive.
