  1. IMO: I think that chap is getting pressure & grip mixed up. Yes your pounds per sq inch presseure is increasing with narrower tyres but that does not mean grip. Whereas with wider tyres the surface area in contact with the ground is greater & hence more friction & more grip.
  2. Cheeky f*cker!! Cheeky bas&ard!!! ps that is pretty sh%t with two tone dumbass bodykit & 54k miles for £17K!
  3. Sounds like a great plan, wish I could do the same, Mrs & Finances dont allow
  4. Slightly off topic but I today fitted a set of 17" Nankangs on my BMW for a total price of £260 fitted. For some intersting info on these very good budget tyres see the links below: http://forum.bmwcarmagazine.com/viewtopic.php?t=45157&highlight=nankang http://forum.bmwcarmagazine.com/viewtopic.php?t=51463&sid=b188eb0184b228cbf2dc6abec7b3e2ba
  5. They look a bit like these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tenzo-R-18in-alloy-wheels-Nissan-Honda-Vauxhall_W0QQitemZ230054240981QQihZ013QQcategoryZ9888QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  6. Just been lookin at it 20 mins ago, wrong offset on back, otherwise I would have been up for it I know a good cheap alloy refurishers to do the job, would be worth it if you could pick them up cheap.
  7. Im in Bushey near Stanmore. I dont usually get down to St Albans, only as far as Watford, Radlett, London Colney!
  8. I wouldn't bother posting any topics to do with racism; religion, nationalism etc on internet forums, especially on car ones, as it will achieve nothing. It will not change anyones opinions, nor enlighten anyone, nor make yourself popular. Iv seen it time & time again over on the BMW forum. (iv even got involved myself!). Best is lets just stick to cars, cars & babes!!!!
  9. Turbo problems leading to other problems leading to sh*t loads of money being thrown at them! Best bit of advice iwhen modding one is ditch the twin turbos & go for one large turbo, seems to be the route with most twin turbo jap- mobiles these days.
  10. Thanks chaps, looks like it will most probably be the Toyos R1yde that www.camskill.co.uk is pretty cheap! Are they quite reliable & quick with delivery?

    Nice vids

I like the bonus material in the end! http://www.metacafe.com/watch/177791/350z_super_car/ Not too bad driver!! http://www.metacafe.com/watch/288810/nissan_350z_skid_pan_drift_and/ I like it http://www.metacafe.com/watch/247454/illegal_street_racing/
  12. Toyos from www.mytyres.co.uk: (Not fitted, so add approx £40) 225/45/18 £106 x 2= £212 245/45/18 £129 x 2= £258 fitting £ 40 Total £510 MPS from Costco who are doing 20% off: (fitted) 225/45/18 £107 x 2= £214 245/45/18 £150 x 2= £300 Total £514 (these are GT spec, non Rays sizes)
  13. Im not sure what the standard fit JDM satnav was, if any. (plus may depend upon year). I think my Addzest Satnav must have been installed later by the Japanese owner.
  14. Satnav was a Jap Addzest (Clarion) system: Screen;Nav unit; SV/AV junction box. After junking the satnav unit the camera (should also be NTSC, though many are compatible with PAL & NTSC) simply plugs into the junction box & power is taken form an (ignition) live power wire in the rear of the car. Very simple after all the mishaps along the way!
  15. As the title says, which ones should I fit on the zed, I can get them both at the same price. (Usually the Michelins are a bit more expensive than the Toyos). I have used Michelins on my old M3 before & they were very very good but have no experience of Toyos, apart from the good reviews Iv read & positive feedback from other zed owners on here using them. (I will be changing all four) Toyos from www.mytyres.co.uk: (Not fitted, so add approx £40) 225/45/18 £106 x 2= £212 245/45/18 £129 x 2= £258 fitting £ 40 Total £510 MPS from Costco who are doing 20% off: (fitted) 225/45/18 £107 x 2= £214 245/45/18 £150 x 2= £300 Total £514 (these are GT spec, non Rays sizes)
  16. I have just finished this god dam never ending mod!! Well it took extra long as I had the wrong camrea fitted! So after lightening my wallet a bit more yesterday finally finished the job & the results are amazing I will have to post some pics this weekend. It pretty much renders the rear view mirror useless (it was pretty much useless anyway, with the Impul Wing & tints!) as it is always on with the ignition. You can see blemin litter on the road behind you let alone cars At night the image is ok due to it being a night vision camera, (but not great) it has those small led type red lights around the camera which come on according to the light sensor. All in all a great little mod especially along with the parking sensors I had previously fitted. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110030577062
  17. They'l send you 2 stickers cos in the next few days it arrives in the mail you'l probably get to 7000 posts!
  18. Tim you beat me to it!! ps: "You can now pick up a uk car for about the same price as an import " "If you are going to get an import remember you want it 2>3k cheaper than the uk equivelant"
  19. Welcome Some JDM's have steering controls, some dont. Though apart from increasing CD volume & change CD they are not much use especially for mobile phones. (I dont use cruise control) Its better to just get a bluetooth kit (e.g. parrot/sony erricson/nokia etc) for about £40 for your mobile phone, a lot easier to use. JDM satnav wont work & better to just get a TomTom1 for about £200 which you can even hardwire into the satnav cubby hole with power. Apart from that there isnt much differences, as for badges etc see my pic below, it did say gaylady before:
  20. Easier to buy a JDM already landed in UK that you can see for yourself IMO. Goodluck
  21. Nissan should be able to do it quite easily. (Nissan Crawlwy Down I know have the equipment)
  22. There wasn't a lot of skill involved IMO, just balls & stupidity. All it would have taken was another car to change lanes without looking very carefully in their mirrors & there would have been a collision. The blue avant may have had a bit more skill as he was doing those manouvers at higher sppeds & was choosing tighter paths through the traffic. You see sh&tloads of 15yr old joyriders doing that kind of crap up & down the counrty. IMO doing that with so much other traffic on the road is dumb, Id like to see them on a go kart track & see how good they really are! Rant over!!
  23. Your right, not allowed on front drivers & passenger windows, but I have been lucky & not been pulled by the plod with their light meters, ..yet!! When I was getting mine done there was a Hamman tuned & kitted BMW 645ci convertible that somebody had part exd back to BMW. BMW had sent it in to remove a grey tint from the front windscreen, the owner obviously must have had xray vision.!
