GM in Wealstone, Harrow waved & waved back, me in my Sunset. Then 5 mins later off the A1 on Brockley Hill going towards Stanmore GM again, not sure if same one?
My current struts are just letting the rear hatch fall on my head every time. Now I have resorted to resting it on my heaad while I get things out of the boot! Neddles to say its doing my head in
As the title says getting them custom made from a company who specialise in them. I'l have to take both off & send it to them to copy. They will have to be made with more gas pressure especially as I have a large Impul rear spoiler weighing it down even more. So I'l measure the forces being applied on the way down by fixing a newton meter to the end of the hatch lid. This figure will help them manufacture it to a more accurate pressure. Only problem is they are closing for Xmas end of next week & manufacturing can take upto 3 weeks. So I will send my struts in start of Jan 07 & see what comes of it.
The best bit is they are doing it for approx £40 for the pair!!
Will update on progress. If it works will be a better way than paying Nissan apprx £170! Also the company should have the design on their system then & will be quicker to manufacture.
He changes his exhaust around more times than his pants!!

Whoever changed the tyres last on my car put the wider back rubber on the front alloy. At first not a problem as front alloy is 8inch width like back but there is a locating nut on each wheel so that the correct alloy goes back on the correct side. So they put the wheel back on the wrong side minus the locating nut (as it wouldnt line up) which I have now bought ready for the next tyre change. Though this doesnt make bugg%r all diff to the wheels or car!!
-Make sure same wheel goes back on same side as each wheel is has a locating nut for each particular side.
-So make sure they put correct tyre on correct wheel as tyres are dircetional.
-Dont forget to take your locking wheel nut & bring it back.
-Check to see they have'nt damaged your alloys before paying them.
-Dont rip it straightaway as new tyres have a slightly slippery coating of oily stuff when new.
-After that do a great big tyre smoking wheel spin out of the garage just for good measure & burn that expensive new rubber :scare:
