How's tricks?
Welcome to the forum
Didn't realise you were looking at getting a zed so soon.
Good luck with the new project.
And Just as a guide for you I spent £25K on mods alone, and you've seen the car so know what's been done.

Thanks for the comments guys
and as previously said ealier, it helped being in the show and shine near the pits at JTS.
-
Haven't posted a pic of mine for a while, so any excuse.
Pic taken at Silverstone in a Pit garage

Nice work Paul on the engine bay, I almost cried until I saw your after pictures.
Swirls don't look too bad considering it is a daily driver and is left outside.
Should look good once you've done, can't wait to see the end result.
Looking forward to reading the write-up

Hi Paul,
Good to hear that the car is still alive
Shouldn't take you long to get it into tip top condition again.
350z is even better than the scoob ever was
Not sure on the spoiler to be honest, I don't think there was anything major. Hope it's not too serious

Sealants should really go underneath a wax.
As in the Blackfire range the all paint protection is designed to be the first coat then topped off with the wax.
If you think about it, wax needs to breathe, a good quality wax is made up of natural substances so degrade over time, if you seal a wax in with a sealant which will stop it from breathing then you will not get the desired effect.
A sealant will do x2 things for you it will offer a shiny surface (Much like a glaze might do) and it will offer some very good protection (Often better than wax) but it's 99% of the time synthetic so when applied will cover than car in a non penetrable layer.
Wax however is slightly different, generally made up of natural products the wax is designed to feed the paint giving it gloss, wet look and depth sometimes what a sealant can't do. But it breathes and a good wax will sweat also. Topping off regularly with a QD will keep a good wax layer going for sometime.
Glazes offer no preotection but offer oils to a paint which can give it a wet look. To be used aftre a polish and before a sealant or wax 9Or both).
If your a regular car user than a suggestion of a sealant every 2-3months topped off with a wax every 4-6 weeks.
If your a regular car polisher and low mileage car driver, try a glaze a regular waxing - say every 2-3weeks. The car will look like it's soaking wet
Hope this helps guys
Or ignore me and do what you think suits your car and routine best

James is that water ford for real!!!! Will we have to drive through it..
Not sure I want to be getting everything wet underneath...
-
chemical guys or PB for wheel sealant (pretty much the same product), or if your flush go for Swissvax Autobahn wheel wax awesome product (Small pot though for the money).
Einszett anti insect for the bugs (best around)
Jeff werkstatt acrylic jet BEFORE the wax then wax 24hrs after jet. Could try Jetseal too.
I have some acrylic if you want to test it (What don't I have )

I guess I'm banned then

Just got back this morning.........
I'm knackerd..
Very expensive, but to be fair the prices haven't changed for the last 3 years!! so their aware of the credit crunch.
San Antonio and the clubs was busier than I have seen it over the last few years.
Our itinery..
Wedensday -- VIP table at Cafe Mambo's to watch the sunset - sat in front of DJ's box to watch Erik Morillo do an awesome 1 hour set
Thursday - VIP table at Cafe Mambo's then onto Pacha for F*** me I'm Famous
Friday - VIP table at Cafe Mambo's again with a fantastic set by Sander kleinenburg (Spell?) then onto a VIP table at Pacha for Pure Pacha. Table was on a balcony which overlooked the dance floor - special guest was Calvin Harris and Sander kleinenburg (Spell?) for an awesome set
Saturday - VIP table at Mambo's again this time to see a set by Bob Sinclar. Now it's hard to get a table in the VIP area as it is but we we're quite privaliged to get one here tonight. There's only half a dozen tables in the VIP bit, we were the only english the others were millionares from all around the world
Then onto Space for Hed Kandi - best club and music so far for me
Sunday - Onto Space - for We love Space
Monday - Last full night - chilled out a bit but still didn't get back until 6am
All in all another awesome week in Ibiza - doing it the proper way. Spoke to various workers out their and they were gobsmacked in what we achieve every year when we go out. Not many people do 4 clubs on the bounce in 7 days
All in all the 5 of us spent £1500 each in 1 week
Looking at booking now for next year already and getting the irons in the fire for more VIP tables
-
Not sure James.
Ultimate Street car is on this weekend and I was thinking of entering the show and shine comp.
What's access like to clumber park for lowriders

Good to meet up with everyone, it was good to have the different z marks together and even better that we got runner up best club stand
Nice one James on your runner up trophy.
I'm obviously chuffed to bits on my best of Show trophy.
Hopefully see a few more of you guys at next years show.

Yep I'm still in Vegas
As far as I'm aware the stand and show is still going ahead.
As per Arkwright's post we may all merge together and have one combined stand of various Zed's
See you all Sunday

as above I have the AVX820 and although it is a cheaper double din, it works great, DVD plays well, LCD is clear. Brilliant bit of kit for the money.
