  1. Excuse my lack of know how but can you tell me what a throttle controller brings to the party? Read a description on Wikipedia but dont understand why you would take the trouble to buy and fit one
  2. Mines 7 yrs old and doesnt sound anything like that. In fact Ive never noticed any appreciable noise
  3. Mine was the same. Its a film that develops on the outer surface and I just rub it with Duraglit metal polish (the type that comes soaked in a wadding material) and it shifts it great. Mines returned a couple of times but its easily got rid of
  4. I was also thinking of fitting different seats but was concerned about the lack of air bags?
  5. Yep, I fitted one about 6 months ago and did notice a differance to the good. Got used to it now but would certainly recommend it
  6. Yeh, my daughter got the offer from Groupon as well. Since Im getting on a bit and because Im severely lacking in conversational pieces these days I think Im going to have to go for the exotics. So I’m currently thinking of:- Ferrari 430 Porsche GT3 (always fancied a Porsche) and while torn between the Lambo at the GTR Im leaning towards the Lambo just for the name. cos I can then dine out on them for ages. But I might change uet By the way, interesting video that Captain and if we get the chance Chipster we can have a little race. On the track that is cos I’m driving the wife’s 1.6 Zafira on the way home and that would give me far too big an advantage.
  7. My daughter’s bought me a day out at Supercar Lifestyle to drive 3 of these little beauties Lambo Gellardo Ferrari 430 spyder Porsche GT3 Oakley Porsche GT2 TVR Sagaris Super sport Nissan GTR BMW M3V8420 TVR 350 Aston Martin DB9 Jag XKR Supercharger TVR Tuscan Which 3 though???
  8. Well Im obviousely the forum cheap skate cos I bought mine from Tesco. Cheap as chips and cant say Ive noticed any probs with them. Just cant bring myself to spend £15 or so on one wiper blade at these motorist discount shops.
  9. Without a doubt he's hurting inside far more than you are, otherwise why make a derogatory comment at all? Little people like him always try to spoil the pleasure of others in order to try and bring them down to their own miserable level. If I were you I'd go into subtle mode, just give him a beep on the horn, a little wave, a and a blip on the accelerator each time you see him getting into his crapy little car or walking for the bus and you’ll have this prat seething even more than he is now.
  10. Looks like I might have to given the response so far. Was wondering if anyone had experienced the sound without the cans before I did cos I’d hate it if it sounded as if it had a hole in it or if the performance was adversely affected. If it sounded ok and didn’t affect performance I’d have new ends welded on which I think would look better. Had heard somewhere they were only put on to improve the exhaust note
  11. Anyone chopped off the two st st tin cans on the ends of the exhaust pipes? If not any idea of how it would affect the sound, louder/quieter or is it likely to affect performance. I personally hate the look of them and would loose them if possible.
  12. I assume it was nicked from North Devon? I live in Newcastle, geordie land, and will look out for it. How many pieces do you want the thief sent back in??
  13. Anyone know of any problems with the Skunk plenum spacers and what size (any make) would be best for an 04Z
  14. Mine were exactly the same. The garage mechanics tend to tear them to bits during a service as the bolts and clips are steel and attached to plastic. As everyone other than Nissan seems to know, steel bolts and clips tend to rust when exposed to the elements under a car and will tear their mounting plastic when unbolting. As for the other under tray fixings are concerned the mechanics who have serviced my car have just screwed them to any fixing they could find or used cable ties instead. Ho hum the joys of DIY. Nice guide by the way

    UPREV TUNING

Bugger! Thought Id found a way of cutting the cost a bit. Ho hum
  17. As I understand it part of the cost of the tuning carried out by RS and Abbey is to buy the uprev licence. Does that mean you can sell this licence on to another person or is it specific to the guy having the work done?
  18. Yes, so if you want an improved look or a front bumper led conversion let me know cos there still available
  19. Unfortunately there are still those who can’t be bothered to do all that and continue to use the windy guns as they require less effort.
  20. Most will be aware of this problem but some may get benefit from my experience. Make sure you put a little copper slip/other on the radiused surface and thread of your locking wheel nuts and the normal wheel nuts. If not they can be over tightened by those pneumatic guns they use in garages and tyre companies and are almost impossible to get off . Had new tyres fitted to the wife’s car a couple of months ago and when I put it in to have the brake pads changed the garage couldn’t get the locking wheel nuts off because they were jammed on. The locking wheel nut socket was becoming worn and they thought they may have to cut the wheels off . I took the car back to the tyre company who spent an hour struggling but finally got them off (they said it was touch and go) I’ve since removed wheel nuts from both our cars and applied the grease, in fact Ive left the locking studs off her car as there so scuffed no one would be bothered to nick them anyway.
  21. I’m no expert but if you put the handbrake on full and try to pull away the car should stall (assuming the handbrakes good and the Z handbrakes are generally poor ) Or if your going up a steep hill in say second and put your foot down, if the engine tone goes up and the car doesn’t increase speed in proportion the clutch is probably slipping . Not sure you need to change the flywheel though only the clutch assembly.
  22. Bought from Rog518 a few weeks ago in a fit of enthusiasm. Unfortunately this disappeared before I got round to fitting them . So if you want a pair that are new and never been fitted - £55.00 inclusive of postage (what I paid for them) Dicky NOW SOLD
