For the North East guys.......Just been speaking to the guy who runs Revline in Whitley Bay (tel:0191 2517904) he'd be ok offering a small discount if he can get a few people interested. He's also got a clip on YouTube if your interested

WOW.....There isn't a prize you know and were all really impressed at the former number anyway! When it does eventually yield to the inevitable we should have a plinth made for it like on top gear or maybe a medal for the sterling service it gave, like the medels they give to those sniffer dogs the army have to sniff out explosives for service above and beyond LOL, to be fair, it has started to judder a little every so often. Perhaps it's due a change. Be kind to it when it does finally let go. Maybe you could bury it in the back garden with a little Plaque (if the wife will let you of course) A lot of people know about it now and word will spread all over the land about this heroic clutch, nd people will travel from far and wide to be close to it and will sing lamentable songs beside its resting place and shed lots of tears as well , sob sob...................you'll make a few bob as well to help pay for the new one .......ha ha ha Mind you if it lets go while your driving in the back of beyond and it's peeing down and you've got no rain coat or umbrella and you forgot to take your RAC card and mobile then just chuck it in the bin, the ungrateful little sod!!

£126 in Whitley Bay for the North east guys!

So in this nail biting competition the main contenders to date are...........OBLIGATORY SILENCE......... Mr BOCKAAARCK with the highest clutch life of 114k (assuming CS client doest come forward to claim his 115k) AND Mr KEYSER with the lowest (and as it happens the deepest pockets) at 19.4k (again assuming CS client doesn't claim his 14k mls) unless we have members who know different!
-
Sounds sensible to me!
-
With my 65k the clutch pedal doesn't seem to have changed its bite point at all as far as I can tell
-
I've been making preparations for a clutch change at my 65k but glad I posted this now cos I feel I can relax a bit after the revelations posted. Keep them coming, this getting interesting
-
Hang on , what about CS input above some guy managed only 14k. Have to admit though that 19k is pretty good going and unless we can put a name to the guy who CS refers to you are defo in the lead for hairiest driver!
-
This is getting unbelievable cos I never thought 114k and above was achievable. I was thinking 40k to 50 k was normal. This is getting interesting now!
-
Bloody hell! Wishing I hadn't bothered now!
-
WoW and I thought I was doing well on 65k!
-
Just wondering and to relieve the boredom of Thursday eveningv TV. How may miles have you managed to get out of your clutch. I never really ragged mine but have had a few blurts (only to 70 mph m'lord) rarely and managed 65.7k to date. Anyone better that. Also what's the least miles you got from your clutch?
-
One step forward two steps back, it never changes.....unless, ......... the lottery comes up!
-
Sounds Interesting but never heard of them. Had a look at the link but can't figure how they work. Can you enlighten me please?
-
Well if this bloke dares to show his face he'll get a good slap from me. Gulp....so long as he's not to big of course otherwise I set the wife on him!
-
When I think hard on it I've come to realise there's a certain sense of accomplishment when you struggle against the impossible nut or bolt, and what's wrong with breaker bars and good old fashioned No9 work boots on the end of a chewed up spanner anyway. Impact guns are for wimps!............I think.
-
Your all on the money ha ha
-
Snap on guns I mean. You right NeilP
-
By gum there expensive! Anyone need the grass or hedge cut... For a small fee of course

Well at least I know what there called now, I was looking under hammer drill. I'll check them out. I'm also thinking of getting a pair of those drive on ramps, the ones you put a drill on to wind them up. There about £300 as I recall someone posting a while back. The problem is that money is just flying out at the moment oddly enough just after deciding to do my own servicing to save dosh. (see my post in the Servicing section if you want a laugh at my expense) Ho Hum.

Thought I'd share one of the shitty little tricks life plays on you from time to time. I posted a few days ago how I was dumping main dealer servicing and doing it myself to save money. Well I got off to a great start by doing more than the work required on the P2 and feeling very pleased with myself that I'd saved the £230 or so quoted by the stealer. "Thinks" ....Now what should I buy with my savings I had hardly begun to think when a couple of days later the lawn mower motor started sending smoke signals to the neighbours, so now I'm now spending £130 to replace it. Next day the exhaust on the wife's Zafira decided to fall off without warning so replaced it, another £150ish gone. While underneath noticed a water leak from the water pump and what looked like a slight oil leak from the sump gasket. To big a job so put it into the local garage who fitted new water pump timing chain and pulley kit (might as well seeing as how it was next to the water pump) and re-sealed the sump, so another £360 left the nest. Got it home and the following morning noticed the oil leak still there, so took it back and the leak is actually coming from the crank bearing, so the gearbox has to come out and you've guessed it, might as well do the clutch at the same time so now facing another £500 or so bill. Somebody up there better stop shitting on me (excuse the venom but what's going on) Oh, yes and the house and Z insurances are due as well as my daughters term uni fees another £3K. Help I'm sinking fast here! Please send all donations to.......... Ha ha ...you've got to laugh

Anyone know if you can buy an electric version of the pneumatic gun they use in garages to remove nuts and bolts? They look to be very handy and if not big bucks I would buy one. Cheers

Mine also showed rust on the wheel arch lip which looked more surface than anything. Noticed that the inner and outer panels were not coming flat together at the wheel arch lip which left small pockets and allowed dirt to accumulate. Masked the rusted bit off with tape, rubbed down to bear metal, cleaned out the trapped dirt, painted with cure rust, the sprayed over it. Job done at minimal cost, and can't see the repair, it's easy

Boy racer badges ....might as well stick checkered tape down the side of the car. But if you like them go of it. Your the only one you need to please!
