  1. Good drawing but rub out those useless front reflectors, we've had enough of them thank you very much ha ha
  2. I'm just comparing my 350 GT that I have ( didn't know there was a 350 Nismo ) to the 370 Nismo. I thought the 370 design was a bit of a backward step but this Nismo goes even further back IMO Your right I am getting old but age doesn't dull your appreciation of beauty and sleek looks (ask Rolf Harris ha ha). Yeah it's a case of horses for courses but If a new 350'was standing beside a new 370 Nismo I'd pick up the keys to the former.
  3. I read somewhere that the gear lever is prone to rattle under acceleration but I can't remember hearing it prior to fitting a new knob. I've since fitted a cheap eBay jobby (the plain round alluminium ones) and love it. It's better but s till get a bit of rattle but can live with it.
  4. Am I the only one who feels more than happy I've still got my 350 after viewing this new car. IMO it's trying to hard, has boy racer written all over it and to me harkens back to the styling the Japaneses used to believe us westerners like. Looks like something the Chinese might produce for the western market. Yes you've guessed I HATE IT and will be hanging on to the better designed, more sleek and desirable 350. NEW ISNT ALWAYS BETTER
  5. What's the mark down the drivers door? Is it a reflection or a graze? I'm afraid I would not have agreed any money based upon a back street garage. I would have taken it to the main dealer to get sorted out as he is at fault and should pay the full cost, if not put it through the insurance, you won't loose NCB cos it's his fault. I had to adjust my bumper a few years ago when mine got caught on the ladders in the garage, as far as I recall it was quite easy.
  6. And here's me thinking that fitting a new K&N filter and plenum spacer gets me membership of the forums elite performance moders. I'm now going out to kick my car and may never lift my head again. RESPECT !!!!
  7. That's worth knowing, thanks
  8. Well that's interesting. I've read post where members have talked about dual-mass flywheels but didn't know what they were. I can see now the good sense in changing it with the clutch. Thanks for your help, I'll defo be changing it when the clutch finally lets go.
  9. I posted a couple of weeks ago regarding how many miles members are getting from their clutch and quite a few are getting high milage. I've also read posts in the past about changing the flywheel along with the clutch as a matter of course. Is this really necessary if your a steady driver or are the Z flywheels only good for the life of a clutch. Changed the clutch in the wife's Zafira last week, admittedly it's not in the same league, but her flywheel looked fine after 80k miles so left it in. Just thought I'd ask because I'd hate to buy a new flywheel only to find the old ones ok
  10. Yes had mine changed about 18 months ago after a pheasant decided to play chicken. The only problem I had was with one of the wiper water jet connections which had its pipe removed to gain access. The guy came in to tell me that he had noticed the mine was cracked, which it was when I looked but I'm 100% sure he must have done it while working on the car. I couldn't prove it so took it on the chin. No subsequent probs though....oh and the fitting compound used leaves a nice new car smell when complete. Been thinking of buying a tube and secreting a dollop somewhere in the car to keep the smell going.
  11. I replaced mine with these and there fine, no probs
  12. A bit of info that may be of interest. My batt was flat after a few days so measured the drain while standing with the alarm activated at 0.7A I believe the standard batt is 52A/hr therefore a fully charged batt will be flat in 74 hrs, not very long
  13. Thanks Hooch I'll order the Mexiscan then cos I can't be bothered with these software driven things, they always give me grief!
  14. I'm confused (goes with getting on a bit) so the £4.90 OBD2 needs additional software to Bluetooth with my iPad , but the maxiscan mx309 works just by plugging it in and reading off the code? Is that right.
  15. Anyone recommend a decent one?
  16. Cheers young man....your on my Xmas card list now!
  17. Bugger that was quick!! Thanks Is that for all of them?
  18. Before getting the car off the ground can anyone quickly tell me what the gear box and diff drain and fill plugs are like. Are they nuts, Torx, Allen key? Looked in the manual and it only indictes torque settings. I'd hate to get it up on a bank hol and find I haven't got the right gear
  19. I just masked up my Z badge then sprayed. Good finish and no probs!
  20. If you wouldn't mind, could someone explain what the fuel damper does for it living. I've looked at the manual which shows it in the fuel line before the injectors but can't find any other reference to it. Is it there to smooth out the pulses of fuel to the injectors because of the nature of the fuel pump operation?
  21. Came across this a while ago.............still laughing ....sad, sad man
  22. Good job there were no sea gulls roosting in that tree as well. Think yourself lucky !
  23. I watched the video, didn't understand a word he said.... :scare: Divint worrie kidda he's takin geordie t ya. It's easy to understand if you've lived around here for two or three decades. He's quite posh by some standards
