  1. The stresses we men have to face. No wonder we die earlier!
  2. Ditto it's a must see for all mankind. Awesome place, my daughter and her mate both 22 didn't want to leave, so much for them to do.
  3. Try Clearwater beach it's beautiful and a bit further down "Johns Pass" near Maderia beach also moocha good nd cheap jet skiing . Enjoy your hol!
  4. Been in Vegas for a week and now in Florida for three weeks, but don't get jealous cos you wouldn't like it. Getting up at 10 or 11 am is no joke you know, then having to lie in all that hot sun all day is just torture, and walking on that hot WHITE sand to bath in the warm ocean is no joke, in fact it's so much aggravation you have to drink copious amounts of beer to deaden the stress of it all. Oh and by the way there are lots and lots of Z's around here. Now you younger ones please remember to keep on working and paying your Nat Ins so I can keep drawing my pension. ITS HELL BEING RETIRED! Ha ha ha
  5. SNAP.....Same happened to me. Battery died more or less without warning after only 10 yrs service (cheap Japanese rubbish...ha ha) I also bought a Bosch from a local supplier Andrew Page for same price.
  6. STEADY ON YOUNG MAN. I'm a Dick as well you know and I can loosen adjusting bolts Ha ha (maybe I shouldn't admit to that on air)
  7. Not for me..........You can't improve on perfection........sometimes less is more!........sorry:(
  8. Did u Rack that up just running in and out of the garage? Ha ha
  9. If you don't ask you definitely won't get. As the saying goes 'shy bairns get nowt'
  10. Have you had experience or is the recommendation from a friend. Thanks for the feedback by the way í ½í¸Š
  11. Can anyone recommend a garage in the north within striking distance of a Newcastle who know what their doing when it comes to setting up wheel alignment on the Z. I've had it done three times now by main dealer and at a place recommended by a friend. All say its spot on (no paperwork provided) but I'm still not confident, even less confident after reading some forum posts and the specialist job it seems to be. I've got uneavan wear on the front tyres which looks like a Toe problem. I've also got 20 mm spacers fitted and am concerned they may be having an affect. Wouldn't like to remove them because they have vastly lifted my confidence when cornering.
  12. Just found some info that suggests these are high voltage wire wound resistors as Tricky Ricky said and are generally in the range 1k to 15k ( apparently it's not critical). Mine measured approx 2k so I'm supposing my coil pack was in fact duff and this resistor is ok. I'll keep it to one side just in case though
  13. Very Interesting! Looked at the diagram again and noticed the diode is internal to the coil pack. Wish I hadn't cannibalised it now !
  14. Found this interesting following the replacement of a faulty one on my cyl 6 the other day. I decided to pull it to pieces and explore. The long tube which goes onto the plug can be pulled off revealing what looks like a long spring with a small bullet type thingy between the coil output and the spark plug. I looked at the diagrams which seem to show it as a diode. Anyway the garage tell me these diodes/ resistors are the most common bit to fail. I can't see any markings on mine and it reads just over 2K ohms in both directions so unless it's buggered it's not a diode. Considering a new coil pack costs £110 it would be nice to identify this component and find a supplier. Mind u on the other hand Alex can supply used coil packs quite cheap.....decisions decisions!
  15. How about when u want to remove it. Does it come off easily or does it stick firm like the window tint film and have to be picked off piece by piece?
  16. Similar problem. Got a ticking noise from the offside tailgate area, had it since new. Pulled off panels all around, taped things down jammed bits in to make wobble bits rigid all to no avail. The little bas---d still ticks away. I think it's gods way of getting back at me for not believing. Best you can do is turn the radio up, but then you can't hear if the indicator has cancelled unless you consciously look at the binicle light. If you forget to do that though you tend to find people pull out in front of you at junctions. Make life very exciting and very interesting though ha ha.
  17. Sorry just Pm'ed you before receiving the replys
  18. PS Is there a gasket kit available for this job ?
  19. Thanks lads this is a great forum for help and advice. Apologies for appearing a bit mentally challenged by what I'm about to say next but want to be sure I've got it right because the garage planted a slightly different picture in my mind. The problem is due to O rings which form part of the rocker (cam) cover leaking and I will need to either fit a new rocker cover or I can buy these O rings separately and replace them in the rocker cover.
  20. Oooops the short cut goes to the full section. It's page E65
  21. Had my spark plugs changed the other day and the garage told me that on one of the tubes into which the spark plug fits had oil in it. The tube, which goes into the right hand cylinder head apparently has O rings fitted (they weren't sure exactly how it goes together) and they suspected oil was passing one of these and filling up the spark plug tube. Has anyone got experience of this problem or has stripped the engine down to a level where access to these O rings is possible and can tell me if it's much of a job ie can the average Joe tackle it. I've attempted to provide a short cut below to the manual drawing showing the three tubes coming out of the head (not to good with the old computer malarkey so may well be a drop off) http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/350Z/coupe/2004_Coupe+Roadster/EM.pdf#page79
  22. There wouldn't be enough space on the forum!
  23. NICE ONE YOUNG MAN! Robbing bastards, their all around us. So be careful out there cos their out to get us.
  24. Buggar Alex the stealers have won again! It's my own fault for being lazy and not wanting to wait to have it fixed and not doing it myself. Tell the truth I've been buried into the manual all tonight and am kicking myself for not diagnosing the problem myself and fixing it. Never again, but unfortunately we pay for our mistakes. I'm off to kick F--k out the dog now!
