You just need to ensure that the price you are given is the TOTAL price and not just the conveyancers fee. The company I use charge about £1,100 all in for a property purchase which is based on an approx legal fee of £599 plus VAT, plus searches, land registry charges and TT fees etc.

The reason it doesn't work is nothing to do with the disk it's the fact that its a Jap system and not a Uk system e.g Secam Vs Pal. It will be trying to contact a satellite that is now on the other side of the world.......

Which system have you got and which disk did you buy? I think its in the thread sarnie If it was in the thread do you think I'd be asking this question??? We know what disc he's bought but not what system he has..............
