  1. A woman takes a lover home during the day while her husband is at work. Her 9 year old son comes home unexpectedly, sees them, and hides in the bedroom cupboard to watch. Just after getting into bed the woman's husband also comes home unexpectedly, she tells her lover to hide in the cupboard, not realising that the little boy is in there. After a little while the little boy says, 'Dark in here. The man, who obviously got a real fright not expecting to hear anything, let alone from a little boy says, 'Yes, it is.' Boy - 'I have a football.' Man - 'That's nice.' Boy - 'Want to buy it?' Man - 'No, thanks.' Boy - 'My dad's outside.' Man - 'OK, how much?' Boy - '$ 250' In the next few weeks, it happens again that the boy and the lover are in the cupboard together. Boy - 'Dark in here.' Man - 'Yes, it is.' Boy - 'I have football boots.' The lover, remembering the last time, asks the boy, 'OK How much this time?' Boy - '$ 750' Man - 'Sold.' A few days later, the boys' father says to the boy, 'Grab your boots and football, let's go outside and have a game of soccer. The boy says, 'I can't, I sold my ball and boots.' The father asks, 'How much did you sell them for and to who?' The boy says, 'To a friend of mine for a $ 1,000..' The father says, 'That's a terrible thing to do, overcharging your friend like that'.. 'That's four times what they cost when they were new, I'm going to take you to church and make you confess your terrible sins.' They go to the church and the father makes the little boy sit in the confession booth and he closes the door. The boy says, 'Dark in here'... The priest says, 'Don't start that @*!# again you little prick, you're in my cupboard now'!!
  2. Good to hear from you again, Tim. Looks like it was a great trip and that sounds like a good recommendation about the guide book - must look for it for next year.
  3. Was Max the model for the smiley?

  5. Is that first photo taken at the top of Dumyat?
  6. Sorry - can't help - I don't have this bit added.
  7. You can't do the reset procedure of the window is jammed in the fully down position. If you're lucky, it might free itself off after going over a few bumps or if you thump the door card. Failing that, you need to remove the door card, unscrew the plate behind it and remove it complete with the window motor assembly. You can then free the mechanism off. If it happens again, it may need a new motor/regulator unit. Use the search button to find a few other threads covering these points, and good luck.
  8. Sorry - slightly OT, but.... Does anybody know if there is a code reader that interfaces with a Mac rather than a PC laptop?
  9. Result That was a relatively cheap fix then!!
  10. I've not heard about this before, and I'm pretty certain that in some earlier threads, members had been successfully using standard OBD11 code readers for both UK and JDM cars. Maybe better do a search to confirm this (or somebody else might be able to clarify for you) before you spend the extra cash.
  11. I think any OBD11 reader will work. Somebody on here has one of these, I think. http://www.scangauge.com/
  12. I agree with Nixy - the transmitters can be hit or miss, especialy if you choose a frequency which is clear in one area but then travel to another region where a strong station can interfere with the signal. We have that problem on the Qashqai and I don't think I can hard wire to an aux socket on the head unit. Like Nixy, I replaced the head unit in the Z with one which is iPod compatible and it works a treat.
  13. I've just fitted the AVX820, complete with rear view camera, and I am delighted with it. Touch screen works very well and the iPod integration is superb. The only issue I have is that when you play a standard audio CD (not MP3 etc.) it does not read the track titles. Otherwise it's great and it's a good bit cheaper than the equivalent Kenwood or Pioneer.
  14. Oh, am I glad I clicked on this thread! Just seen the poll - I take it that the only dissenters were Nixy and Markie?
  15. Marc. Good luck on finding the right car. There are quite a few of us in the Falkirk area now, so if you see a Z give us a wave.
  16. Take a look at the Maserati website at the address I posted above. There is a configurator that lets you see the various exterior and interior options. I like the neptune Blue metallic paint, with the Avorio interior finish.
  17. +1 Check it out - http://www.maserati.com/maserati/en/en/ ... matic.html
  18. I think I saw that Z today, parked just across the fence from our car park at Europa.
  19. The motor turns but the mechanism can stick or the regulator can be faulty, and the regulator unit is riveted together so it's not something that can be fixed.
  20. The reset procedure is only really to ensure that the window drops the right distance before the motor cuts out. If like me, you still have a problem after trying that, I suspect that you will end up having to replace the motor/regulator unit. To access this, you have to remove the door card, then take out the 10mm bolts that hold the central metal plate in place - the window mechanism, including the motor and cable gear, is attached to the back of this. You then have to lossen the three bolts that hold the mechanism to the bottom of the glass. These bolts are behind the large black plastic covers on the plate. It's a two-man job, really, as you need somebody to hold the glass while you remove the plate (after having removed the various wiring connections). I found that simply greasing and freeing off the mechanism was enough to cure the problem on the driver's side, but I had to replace the motor on the passenger side.
  21. I'm just along the road from you in Larbert. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you.
  22. Thanks a lot - that's very helpful.
  23. I hope so too! Oh, do you happen to know the name of the company in Livingston? Google threw up a few companies that do wheels.
  24. Thanks Paul - motor fitted and working fine now. What a great forum this is!
  25. Thanks to you both for these suggestions. Will pass them on to my son.
