  1. Are these just larger treads or are they also studded?
  2. I think this one might also qualify for a slap....... A man was sunbathing naked at the beach. For the sake of civility, and to keep things from getting sunburned, he had a hat over his privates. A woman walks past and says, snickering, "If you were a gentleman you'd lift your hat." He raised an eyebrow and replied, "If you weren't so ugly it would lift itself."
  3. +1 That's the exact same paint I used for my engine cover and other parts of the engine bay. I can also confirm that Halfords clear lacquer just dissolves away this paint. I haven't tried other lacquers to see if they are any better, though. Good job on the key fob, by the way. I might try that as well!
  4. I'm not sure I understand that, but I do know that almost all of us with imports have either had to install a delimiter ourselves or make do with the 112 mph limit, just as Sarnie said. It is definitely not part of the SVA for the car. I think you misunderstand me with regard to SVA and delimiting, it was somebody else that thought it was done at the same time IE part of. I merely said that most importers will, and do SVA imports when needed and before sale, and that the one i had dealt with had made sure that the vehicle was delimited and speed converted, not that it was all part and parcel of the same process. Understood - sorry for the confusion. I think you were lucky with your previous importer, though, because most of them don't seem to do the delimiting.

  6. Really like the GT40, especially in that colour.
  7. All the best for another happy year's motoring and modding to everyone on the forum. Cheers
  8. Probably a repost, but worth another look anyway......... Banned from the co-op Yesterday I was at my local CO-OP buying a large bag of Purina dog food for my loyal pet, and was in the checkout queue when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had - an elephant? So, since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn’t, because I ended up in hospital last time, but that I'd lost 2 stones before I woke up in intensive care with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the queue was now enthralled with my story.) Horrified, she asked me if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her "No, I stepped off the kerb to sniff an Irish Setter's arse and a car hit us both". I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.
  9. Hmmmmm palm trees in scotland???? Yes. Check this out..... http://www.rbge.org.uk/the-gardens/logan
  10. I know it's a multiple repost, but I still like the idea of the trunk monkey! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MmROefZ ... re=related

  12. Great thread, Paul. The car is looking great, and I like what you have done with the wings.
  13. +1 Don't see how that can work at all.
  14. That's an excellent guide. I have replaced the motor on one side, and removed, cleaned and returned the motor on the other, so that both are working better now. I wish I had your guide when I started, as it would have saved me a lot of time and experimentation to find out how to dismantle and re-assembe all of the parts. There was a guide posted earlier on here, but it was not as comprehensive as this one. Well done again and thanks for posting it on the forum.
  15. I think, but worth another look.
  16. +1 I got mine through last winter doing just that. By the way, Stew, how's the weather where you are at the moment?
  17. +1 I think you're only saying what a lot of us feel!
  18. We've got some here - nothing much to worry about, really, but I believe it's quite a bit worse in the North-East. Maybe Stew has had some fun the last couple of days? PS I have to admit to leaving the Zed in the garage this morning and walking to the station instead.
  19. There you go - http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... &langId=-1 I use it regularly - it helps to keep the screen slippy between applications of the main product.

    sNOW FUN !!!!!

    That would be worth seeing!
  21. +1 is it standard on both UK and JDM or UK only? I think from memory the 2006 onwards JDM's had the heated wing mirrors. Earlier models didn't. See my earlier post - mine's an 03 JDM with heated mirrors and windscreen. Maybe these were options in Japan?
  22. Try.... I would, if I could find out where it is and the wires leading to it!!!
  23. I notice you never got an answer to this question on that thread, Nixy. "What is the click of the seatbelt when you turn the ignition off? Feels like the tensioner tugging the belt slightly?" I assume it must be the pre-tensioners.
