Lee - Mine needed an anti roll bar bearing replaced and the Bose stereo CD was jammed and needed binning (replaced with top spec Alpine) Apart from that it was pretty much fine and only had 4800 miles on the clock (53 plate).

Your right, 1 is poor (although usually means modified/colour change etc) 5 is good, 6 is brand new. R/A means accident repaired etc. I'd personally go for nothing less than a 4.5 although mine was a 5 and still had a couple of problems which weren't highlighted on the grading sheet In my experience most grad 3/3.5 cars are in pretty poor condition.

Hi Josh, As far as I'm aware, JDMs don't have an alarm as standard or an immob. I know for a fact mine had neither when I imported it.

As an ex Evo VI Tommi Makinen owner I'm mortified at the look of it, and from the VII onwards to be honest. They seem to have lost the hard rally look and certainly gained the Vectra rep look which deff isn't a good thing IMO. Shame really.

Have just ordered my new rims, suspension and adjustable camber bits. Also recently ordered the speed racing kit through Valerio so things are shaping up, worst part is waiting now! Recently added a new Alpine headunit etc now looking at forced induction too. Will take some pics when it's sorted (hopefully in time for jap fest!) Only downer is somebody left their handbrake off on a Land Rover so it rolled into the back of my car, plus side is I get a new UK rear bumper so I can ditch the JDM style rear plate

I'm running a top end Alpine headunit with the Bose speakers/amps just fine in a JDM car. Sounds better, much more scope to dab with settings etc. IIRC I used a normal Nissan loom without anything extra.

Totally agree Chesterfield, it does look a little bare as standard. I've ordered the speed racing kit through Valerio and have also added some 19'' Racing Hart rims. Nothing too OTT just think it will look finished now. That Nismo kit looks good, will try to find some more pics.

Not so sure actually because the standard JDM cars have no alarms or immobilizers on them Had a Cobra immobilizer fitted at the time of sva but can't see how this would effect the key? Did have to get a spare key for my Transit Connect and that was reprogrammed etc so can see where your coming from

Bought a JDM car last year and it only came with one key. Have tried Nissan who say they can't help obtain spare key, and various locksmiths who say they haven't any key similiar enough. Did find one place who cut me a key but it won't turn once in the ignition barrel. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you overcome it? Cheers!
