  1. Was that Sainsburys on Regent Rd Mike? I filled up there on Sunday, haven't had any probs at all.
  2. I've run mine virtually exclusively on Sainsburys since I bought her with absolutely no problems at all. Interestingly though, years ago I used to have a Mk1 Astra and ran it for quite a while on Shell after a bit it was running like an absolute dog, switched to getting it from a supermarket and never had any problems whatsoever after that. Put me off Shell for a good long while tbh, although I do sometimes use the V-Power now.

  4. I'm reading the book at the moment and it's not impressing me - I think Thomas Harris has lost it as a writer. The last Hannibal book read like a screenplay which I felt was quite cynical as an author. I hope the film of Hannibal Rising is better than what I've read so far! Wouldn't bother seeing the film tbh, very disappointing
  5. Sounds awesome Ming. Bumped into Valerio the other day - your boys have done a good job on his standards!
  6. Why not go for something rear wheel drive mate? Far more fun, especially on the track. An old BM 325 springs to mind.

    SOLD

How much they up to now mate?
  8. Yep good call I think, more chance of slightly drier roads too
  9. Thats pretty much how much it will cost if I have to get new ones. I took my car down there on monday, I find out tomo If they will cover it, wish me luck all. Think Revsport had a similar problem not so long ago, may be worth PMing him
  10. I'm definitely not putting myself up for organising anything.. BUT.. who is now Jacko the pathfinder's not on here anymore ?? Whats happened to Jacko?
  11. Nah mate, you live in a leafy road. Ask what it would be with a Brum centre postcode
  12. I'm paying about that for mine too mate, 31 with 8yrs no claims. The joys of living in a city!!!!
  13. I reckon I'm perfectly placed to give you some advice mate - I've done exactly the same thing (not sell the Z - although I would have, but I mean doing the same thing you are and going employed to setting up a business). The first thing I'd say is reckon on giving yourself 12 months - you aint gonna earn very much at all for the first year. Also where are you going to generate your business? If its all existing active clients (be very careful when you're categorising them - there's very very few I would describe as truely active) then you're ok and likewise if you have some good introducers that would continue to refer to you then you're laughing. Advertising in our game doesn't work unless you're on a big scale, I don't care what anyone tells you other than that cos its wrong. How are you going to grow your business? Whats the plan for the next 2-5 years? I could go on forever mate, PM me if you like What I'd say is in the short term if you can survive its well worth doing, far better earning it for yourself plus you're always gonna work harder when you see the benefits without pumping it all into someone elses pocket
  14. I'm hoping for as much snow as that next week Sarnie, but it aint looking promising at the mo
  15. Worrying feedback score, don't know that I'd trust this seller
  16. Bought my last set of the net and the only problem that I had with getting someone to fit them was I wanted it doing the same day! Went round ATS, Kwik Fit, National and a couple of smaller local fitters and nobody said no but were busy so couldn't do it there & then.
  17. Get away from them as soon as you can would be my advice mate. When I moved into my place I placed an order with BT for the phone line & also internet as I figured it would be easier to get it done by the same place. After 10 days of BT being completely useless (in other words their normal level of service) I cancelled the order and went back to freeserve (ok, yes it was wanadoo then and now orange but its still freeserve to me. Just like opal fruits will always be opal fruits!!). They aren't the cheapest but I've never had any problems with them and great speed too. Plus the wireless box they give you is good and you can plug a phone in and get free calls at certain times. Gonna look at sky broadband at review time though cos it seems a decent deal. There's also somewhere else round Manchester claiming upto 32meg speed but don't know much else other than that!
  18. I personnally don't feel this site to be intimidating to post on, although I have been around a while now. I first found this site through google when I needed some tyres, I checked out some of the postings and liked the look of it so joined up and posted my query. It was answered willingly by members and I felt I was warmly welcomed, which is why I've stuck around. I enjoy the banter and don't feel the site to be cliquey, but again as I've been around a while am probably not best placed to comment. I've been to a couple of meets and the members I have met have been throughly likeable down to earth people and I like to consider them friends. This was the first forum I registered on (tbh haven't really registered on others apart from to see some interesting posts) and I hadn't had any experience of owners clubs or such like before but certainly didn't feel intimidated with my first post.
  19. Any shots of them Mike or a link? sorry no piccies just get um done all for under a tener. Prefer the white ones myself. Proper Xenon white if you know what I mean compared to the old type bulbs Yep, know what you mean. Sound good, may have to check them out
  20. I'm obviously not braking enough - I'm on 30k and still on the originals. Need some soonish tho.
  21. Ah!!! Makes more sense now.... Had a noisy clutch (release bearing) but it wouldn't have described it as a clang. Worth running it in I'd say.
