I may be depending on date.....oh and as long as Sarnie takes better care of me this time too
-
Diplomacy and Sarnie aren't usually two words that go together!!! As i hadn't been using the motor that much i actually got round to having them done mate - only a couple of months before this too.
-
Thanks mate. If they had of got the car straight away I would have been over the moon to get her back but now I don't - I'm not so sure how I'd feel getting back in her.
-
Hey Chris, sorry i'm not around much these days and hadn't seen your thread but checked it out now...musta been pretty shocking too - utter w***ers these guys are. I've just tried to put it out of my mind as much as poss and get on with things, just thankful i'm ok and glad you are too. Insurance co have been really good so far although they still haven't paid out - they've asked another co to come up with a value which they did last week but a quick check on the trader and the glass' guide showed they were way wrong. How you doing with yours?
-
Fraid not mate, had an email from CID today saying that they can't see anything useful from surrounding CCTV so not surprisingly it would seem that they picked their spot wisely.
-
Thanks for all the posts and messages guys i appreciate it. Still no sign of the car I'm sorry to say.

Hey guys!! I unfortunately need to put my hand up and say it was me and it was without a doubt the most traumatic and horrible experience I've ever been through. I don't ever want to go through that again and nor would I wish it on my worst enemy. I was going to post last night but tbh I didn't really want to go back over it right then. Feeling a bit better and far less twitchy today though. The police have suggested that it may be doing the rounds on stolen plates so if anyone has had plates stolen recently please send me a PM or contact DC Quanbrough on 01253 604018. I really hope they catch the b**tards, I don't want anyone to have to go through that. The only positive I'm taking out of it right now is that I'm not laid in a hospital bed, or worse. If anyone bumps into you the best advice I can give you is don't stop.

Gutted i missed this guys, I really wanted to get down if only to spectate, looks like you had a great experience - addictive isn't it??? Great pics and great write up. Good point on the number plates - word of warning to anyone else in warranty - its also not unknown for spotters working for manufacturers to be around too -
What should come with the GT to enable Bluetooth?

Cos the nearest I get to off road is in my garage and therefore I shouldn't own a 4x4 -

Hey guys, again not been around so sorry! All of your suggestions are VERY much appreciated as are your comments Still not got round to getting rid of the Z but I'm thinking best bet is to punt to a trader, I can't be bothered advertising and also having to tart her up before. Liams Z doesn't surprise me you have a girly contact at the trader, I'll bear it in mind lad - does this one also offer taxi services rickya - soz mate but that pimped option just aint me, maybe for me Dad!!! 3 series would be a good idea but I've always said I won't have a beemer unless it has a M badge, I've nearly gone against that a couple of times and I'm now glad I haven't. Ming & lomoto - cheers for the advice on the Mitis, I'll give them a wide berth. Great prices on the Scoobies but I haven't got a big enough cap or trainer collection for one of them (apologies to anyone that has/has had one, they're just not my bag). I've decided that the MR2 is going to be a no go, purely because i'm going back to ice hockey training in a few months and I won't fit my stick in, let alone my kit bag! Plus it has kinda got that bit more of a hairdresser image hasn't it? So, what does that leave me with? Well, thanks to you all that suggested the 200SX, it hadn't really figured in my thinking and is currently top of the list. After that I reckon Celica GT4. So it's been narrowed down nicely and I've had some top advice. Thanks again guys and I'll let you know how I get on!!! -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAVIS!!!! The zimmer frames in the post!

Thanks guys for all the replies I hadn't thought of the 200SX, that's not a bad shout actually. MR2 Turbo was in my thinking, the only downside is that if you actually need to do anything to it it's an absolute bitch to get to anything on the engine. Was also thinking Mitsi 3000GT or GTO, thought Celica - saw a couple of nice GT4s, there's also poss a 3.0 non turbo Supra (then I'd just need a big medallion ). Or I could poss at a push pick up a 300ZX, surely then I could still come Wales?????? Beavis & Lomoto - I'd love to keep her I really would but I can't justify it to myself anymore, not at how much she costs, not when I'm not using her everyday it just doesn't make sense. I was looking at an MY07 before Christmas but for various reasons it didn't happen - now I'm taking it as a sign. Bloody hell, I may actually be growing up!!!!! I'm thinking £2k max as it won't cost me anything, absolute worst case scenario (which is very, very unlikely) I keep it a year, can't sell and scrap it - I'll have lost a damn sight less money than I will by keeping the Z for a year. Either that or I get about £500 trade in on a new Z (or whatever). Just makes a lot more sense all ways up I think. -
Hi all :bye: I've not been around for AGES due to Christmas, New Year, illness, working away, working too much etc etc etc. I've actually got 5 minutes right now so thought I'd quickly get on and say hello, also take this opportunity to say sorry to quite a few people I should have sent messages to far too long ago (Sarnie, sinbad & stuey to name only 3!!) and also to ask for a bit of advice. This has probably been asked a million times but seeing 500 unread posts when I logged on and only having, as I said, a few minutes before I hit bed figured this was quicker than searching, so apologies if I'm duplicating. Anyway, I think its time for me to part with the Z . As much as it pains me to say it as I really didn't think this time would come at least for a couple of years yet its time I'm realistic. My main reason is that as I can now walk to work she's not getting used every day, she still puts a big grin on my face the times I do take her out but for what she costs (and also the depreciation) it just doesn't seem to make sense. I'd have a big saving every month by getting rid and I just can't ignore that anymore. So, I reckon I'm going back to bangersville for a while. I've been trawling autotrader and the like seeing whats about for a MAX of £2k and there's some pretty interesting stuff. I reckon I'll go Jap and hopefully get a bit more realiability but for a £2k max what would you all recommend? My only provisios are that it must be quick and not FWD, I'm not really bothered about insurance as anything isn't going to cost much more than the Z. I'm not bothered about fuel economy as I don't use it much. Come on you petrolheads - The AndyC £2k Challenge - what would you get???? Also, anyone wanna buy a Z???? I say that slightly tongue in cheek but seriously though I'm looking to get rid via a trader for ease but if anyone is looking for a bit of a bargain give me a shout. I'll be completely honest with you about the condition - exterior she nees some TLC. Mechanically really well looked after and no probs. If you want some info get in touch but no timewasters eh.
