Hi Does anyone know what this function is? When I purchased by JDM Zed, the Sat Nav unit was swapped with the Panasonic CN-DV2300N, and on the upgrade disc that came with it, there are notes regarding TMC functions, I know it's connected with live traffic updates, but wondered if this is a standard service you should get with these units? I'm not too clued up on this kind of thing, but both Panasonic and dealer are not being that helpful. Bit of a shot in the dark but anyone's knowledge appreciated!! Cheers

Hi I got the people I bought the Zed off to go halves on the Sat Nav upgrade. Basicaly the DVD unit which currentkly sits behind you when you drive is replaced with a Panasonic one( Panasonic CN-DV2300N) and you add the software as part of the price - cost of £800, the software is Navteq but it isn't that great, and I'm finding everytime I turn on the ignition I have to twiddle to UK mode to get it working - complicated. Looking back, I would of just gone down the Tom Tom route and put the cash saved towards some alloys.

A little less - about £55. I thought I was in when I purchased one from that Nissan parts website someone on here reccomended - $35 dollars! didn't realise it would be $146 to ship it over!!!!!!

Not a problem at all! I'll cover cost of postage and more if problem, plus some chocolate if yopu like? i work for a confectionary company!! One thing I desperately need is a UK Bose head unit to swap with my Japanese one which gives me crappy radio frequencies! Spk soon Nick

Going with Lomoto on this one - those radio expanders are pants!! I've gone down the route of binning the Bose head unit from my JDM import and just bought a second hand head unit - can't be ar*ed with the agro anymore!!!!

Nope! don't think so, wonder if it's something in the electrics dept? on the far right corner side of the dash (side vew so that you face it as you open the door) - just to the right of the TCS, and fuel opener buttons you have a section where originally two sections of plastic were joined together - I noticed these are not joined and leave a bit of a gap, however when you shut the door you can't see any of this so doubt that's the root of the problem?!! it's definately a faint sqeeking sound and I noticed it before I had the learner driver demolish my bumper so can't blame this on her! anyideas? It's weird, the creak sounds suspension orientated (had it on my TT) the squeek is inside around the drivers side - really notice it when you are going on uneven road surfaces doing any speeds but it's only noticeable when all music and aircon etc... is off, just can't work it out???!!! arghhhhh!!!

There seems to be quite a few comments on rattles, squeeks & creaks -I'm noticing a very strange creaking sound (faint) on occassions and usually accompanied by a faint squeeking - have got no idea what it is but it's really annoying me - anyone noticed this? Also squeeky rear breaks - can't seem to sort this one either!! Hope it's not due to the car being thuimped the other week!!

Sorry mate - I've got a coupe, i'd offer you something but guess you'll have everything i've got as spare - pair of wipers i've just replaced? work fine but just bought a pair of titanium coloured. Cheers

Is the cargo mat same thing as the mat you get with the car? I just want a mat that doesn't move around when you put luggage in - why didn't Nissan think of this and put one in as standard??

Right lots - so here goes!! Boot cover Torneau cover Boo Net thing Rear tailgate spoiler or simillar - bigger the better! silver coloured ariel key fob / Z key ring with logo set of 18" alloys + wheels or above - preferably good condition (I have a set of factory import 17" Nissan alloys with tyres all in excellent condition as possible PX) Tailgate lights & bumper indicator lights (to replace the existing red one at the back - think UK have amber coloured?) Oh and not forgetting Bose head unit! Big list eh!!

350z boot mate? what's that? is it a heavy duty rubber mat thingy that goes on top of the existing furry cover?

Sorry if this isn't clear! At the back of my Zed (boot area) the cover / mat which covers all of the boot seems to be very very loose so when you put bags, cases in the back the whole thing slides around inc the bags! I've tried using 2-way velcro pieces to hold the cover / mat in place but doesn't stick too well, does anybody else have / had this problem? or is there anything I can do cos it's really annoying!!! Should the cover / mat already be stuck down? I am gonna get a torneau cover but that doesn't solve the problem of the loosecover / mat!! Cheers

A freq shifter - what's that? I've added a radio expander but it's pretty cra**y! i think it's got something to do with the japanese computer(SAT Nav & phone ) which interfers. Can get radio one, and local stations buit can't get Radio 4, and london stations to name a few!!

Sorry to hear that mate! Gonna try and take some photos tomorrow or Fri and let you know, but I'm so busy at work I'm struggling to find time to even look for replacements!!! Cheers Nick

Hi Matt It was me!!! All parties ok thanks, a learner driver crashed into my Zed as I was standing around on the phone to you. Nobody's fault really but it's gonna cost over a £1000+ to fix. They are happy to pay but will be an insurance jobbie I think for them! So won't be getting done for some time!! How's the alloy situation going? Still interested in selling for some 18" or above, but just not found the right price yet! If you want I can send you some photo's of the alloys? Cheers Nick

Guys I'm going tonight to get a quote and want the work done asap, it won't be an insurance jjob as the father whose daughter crashed into me would rather not get them involved, what would be cheaper? a standard UK bumper / Japanese standard UK bumper? or a Nismo front bumper? thing is I know what I'm like - if the Nismo bumper is cost effective then I'd want to at some point get the rest of the car Nismo'ed!!! What d ya think?
