I've actually just got rid of my fourth bike. Has a Kawasaki ZX-6r (sportsbike) straight after passing my test 6 years ago. Loved that but ended up going everywhere at 140mph! Ended up getting highsided at 80mph going around a double apex corner, flew through the air and landed on my sternum on a dry stone wall! Anyway, some how walked away with just very bad bruising, didn't break anything (somehow) and repaired the bike on the credit card. 4 days later was doing Oulton Park trackday with a very black chest So tried to be sensible and have my kicks at a lower speed so bought a KTM supermoto (625cc single cylinder) and ended up sliding the back end into every corner, and trying to wheelie and stoppie everywhere! Then decided that wasn't fast enough so got a Husaberg 650cc race supermoto (was rare then as at the time there wasn't many on the road) that was just the most fun (on the right road, nothing could touch you up to about a ton). Again was just madness on the road, couldn't help but ride it like a hooligan. Last bike was an Aprilia Tuono 1000cc V-Twin. Very nice bike....... ended up just not using it enough as a most of my biking mates had moved away. You just end up going routes you know on your own rather than "exploring" when there's a group of ya. Just got rid of that in April when I bought the Zed to get some kicks on 4 wheels..... Bottom line, biking ain't that dangerous as long as you ain't a complete muppet and ride within YOUR limits. BUT you have to constantly and I mean constantly expect everyone in a car, bus, truck or tractor to try to knock you off. Guess London would be one of the worst places to expect this..... That couple with the speed that you can quite easily end up going everywhere, what will all the cameras you just can't have as much fun now..... But that said, I'd recommend any petrol head to at least do their training and try to pass their test. Its one of those things that you will either love or hate but you can't beat the feeling! @*!#, I'm missing my bike now..... I'll post up some pics if you interested.....

I know its a question of priorities I suppose shame really as that is a REALLY good price. -
erm I know, I think I've found that out!

Yeah thanks for them Liam. I've got some custom ones coming from the states along with a blue billet oil cap, that should land any day now. I may buy that one anyway, just in case. But thanks for the heads up.... Regarding Ebay, I was thinking about bidding for a Plasma TV.... just missed out in the end. Good deal, but not that bothered yet.

Well, I want some wheels next, but considering the price of them. I might wait for a while, unless I can get an extremely good deal -

Yes Val, I THINK I'd realised that and I realise that they going to be different. I'm just interested to hear the sound of your's (or someone else's with less crappy wit ) just as a comparison. NOT because I expect it to sound like each other..... -

Not too loud. Just not 100% sure of the low down burble all the time at the mo. Want to make sure that its similar to other exhausts and not got a duffer etc But think part of it might be just getting used to a much louder exhaust! -
Was it clean? Did it look good? I've only seen one and looked a bit dirty so couldn't see whether it was nice or not etc

Actually I want to do a comparison next time we meet up mate. I'll go for a passenger spin in yours etc and you in mine (if you want) then can see the difference in volume etc? -
Guys, I was a little confused as to how exactly the automated bidding worked on Ebay (maybe its cos I'm stupid?). I'd bidded for stuff and seen the increments jump in big quanties that left me thinking, "Why didn't it just go up by a tenner rather than that £50 etc" Anyway, I mailed them and asked. Here's the response:- Hope that helps anyone else confused!

Neil, Just to let you know that I've bought one of these now direct at the £99.00 price. So please take me off any group buy. Its not really worth me hanging around for a group buy to save £6 etc..... But thanks anyway. PS: John has ONE left out of the 5!

Hi guys!.... Sorry, after it got fitted last night. I was around at the woman's and didn't have any internet access. But its fitted now Paul at TDi North (top bloke) kindly fitted it for me last night. I'll post up a proper post with pics etc (including some other cars that were there) but first impressions:- 1) As soon as you turn the key, there's a really DEEP growl and then settles to a low but menacing burble. 2) Low to mid revs's its got a really deep loud growl. 3) Over about 4k then it turns into a bit of a loud bandshee wail 5) Don't know if its a subjective thing, but the mid-range seems to fly by So so far so good I'm not sure its offensively loud, but its loud! Last night I have to admit, that I wasn't sure whether I liked the low down sound but its been growing on me today Have to admit though, as the exhaust wasn't brand new, the nice shiny end caps I had on my standard exhaust looked better (cleaner) although the exits of this are obviously bigger. Will have to find some way of getting through all the crud. I've tried Silvo.... Gotta go back soon though to get two new gaskets on a section join as the ones that came with it were a big shagged But they ain't expensive, so rather do it. I'll post some pics up later on, when I get home...... and of course you can hear at soon at your local JAE store -
Please add your name to this list if interested... Neil Digsy IT10 Jacko

Wayne, I used to own a S2000 so if you want a comparison then give me a PM or something. S2 is defo more twitchy (mine was an 03), but not scarily so. Just be a bit cautious before you rag the arse off it and the VTEC kicks in. If you like driving everywhere at high revs then its fine but the Zed is deifintely a more subtle and wider fulfilling proposition.....

Hi guys, Just to let you know that I've got my appointment booked later on today at TDi North to get my exhaust swapped to the DC Sports cat back system that I got. Looking forward to hearing my baby growl later on tonight! :kicking I'll let you know how it gets on and the service etc at TDi. Might try to get some pics taken at the same time.....

Yeah I did think about spraying it, but then tried to imagine it all silver for example and just think it might stand out too much on a Azure car. Then you have the worries of it getting chipped and silver paint coming off...... dunno, let people have a look at JAE suppose. Its different, just discretely so at the mo...... which i quite like. Don't want it being too "look at me" etc

Some of you know that I bought Tim's unwanted GrillTech grill off him just to be a little different with the front end of the Zed. I thought i'd do something different rather than just follow the crowd with the chrome strips..... Finally managed to fit it a couple of weeks back. Some of you asked for pics but not got around to taking any pics until this weekend when clean!. They ain't the best quality as had to enhance the contrast & brightness etc as the grill area was pretty dark. The grill actually looks plastic on the photos, but its metal. Bit of a tricky frustrating pain to fit due to having to get cable ties through the back of the fins of the grill, in some places the plastics' closed so you can't get around the back. But can be done with some patience..... Looks better in person I think, so you can see at JAE, but still not 100% sure about it. Will leave on for now though... So what you think?

Guys, the hands free steering wheel controls and therfore kit are NOT available on a roadster (or they weren't up to 06 model, not sure about that)....... I was told by the dealer that they didn't have the handsfree controls cause they interfered with the roof mechanism, therefore they did put em on

Wayne! Now get that Zed bought, you'll love it!

You tried Holdcrofts on Ebay? I know they a stealer, but they seem to be cheaper than other dealers. May be a last resort?
