  1. No answers then, bugger... I'll head to the dealer
  2. Bah, just saw the press release - out in Jap Dec 2007, US June 2008, and elsewhere in 2009! Crapola. Mind you, my three years will be up with the Z then...
  3. what's the benefit of the JWT clutch and lightened flywheel (apart from being less heavy ) Just saw this post: With these mods the engine is much more willing to rev, and overall engine response is tremendously improved also its only supposed to be a 2hr mod fitting time so shouldnt be that costly. The factory flywheel is incredibly heavy, weighing 25.5 lbs. Prolight Billet Flywheel is much liighter, weighing 13.2 lbs.
  4. kenny did you get this sorted? it just happened to me too my mum was a passenger and threatened to put in a Tony Bennett CD and my player gave up the ghost - all it says is "PUSH EJECT" which I do and it moans a bit, then does nothing and keeps flashing PUSH EJECT again and again. Would like to avoid a trip to the dealer.. anyone got a fix?
  5. Got the pilots on now... so far, I think they are better than the toyos but I've not worn them in properly - grip like @*!# to a blanket round corners!
  6. Sweet, avoid them then - I'm having Michelin Pilot Sports put on tomorrow.. four new ones!
  7. Looks like George has been removed.. and Captint last posted in late Aug.. Have they gone forever?
  8. Sarnie, if you go, I'll drive all the way up from Staines. Deal, or no deal?
  9. F1 is getting like football - the fans love it, the people running the game are idiots
  10. Plato was obviously having more fun, so that's four wins for the Z! BTW my mate has had his test drive in the new M3 (after waiting two+ years on a list) and it isn't worth it - quick, but lazy, he reckons. Near 60K too, sheesh! Told him to wait for the new GT-Rrrrrrrr
  11. crapola, I have a load of work needed for the black beauty. Need paintwork door dent, touch up, respray, detailing, the works...
  12. I've just decided to try Michelin Pilot Sports instead of the Toyos for the Z - 160 each for all four, so a good bit more expensive but I was feeling rather daring! A few places keep trying to push Avon tyres, a British company apparently. Looking here the description sounds interesting: "Lots of ultra-high performance tyres give strong levels of roadholding, but the ZZ3 combines that talent with very gentle and predictable breakaway characteristics as you approach the limits of its grip..." They are about the same price as the Toyos... the local tyre fitter called Toyos "expensive crap" and reckoned Avon were better... but they are the same price, and I was happy with the Toyos more than the Birdgestones. Anyhoo - has anyone used these Avon tyres? What about the Pilot Sports? I know these Pilots are used on M3s... Cheers Steve
  13. Cheers! I'll report back after the hols, perhaps even post some pics of me in my speedos...
  14. I have been let down by my tyre supplier I had paid for, and have been reimbursed for, four Toyos. Can any trader on here arrange home fitting and a great deal for 2x225x45x18 and 2x245x45x18? Need this done on Friday (not available Wed or Thu). Help!
  15. What you getting instead? Are you "down-sizing", "right-sizing" or "up-sizing" like Sarnie?
  16. Is there anything on the spec sheet from Japan that confirms the engine size, TT, etc? Wheel size? I guess it's all hush-hush so they get a big bang in October... Lots of speculation on the web but no concrete stuff. When Digsy says Middlehurst are taking deposits, I assume that's for imports... would love to know when the GTR UK version is out. I would part with the Z for the new GTR, in black of course (I drive a Kuro today). I hope the paint on the GTR is better than the skinny @*!# they put on the Z...
  17. I'm planning on a November get-away-from-the-cold trip - any comments on the place? Cheers in advance Steve
  18. No, the first thing to check is if your"old man" used it, and you just plug it in to your network - all kinds of shiznit might be wrong. It shouldn't be this complicated but we aren't out of the Dark Ages yet. If he is using DHCP then you should get an IP address ok - check that by doing Start --> Run --> cmd Then type in ipconfig /all Do the same thing on both compootahs. Remind me - when you say the connection drops, what error do you get? Any windows pop up on your screen saying "connection lost" or "wireless etc lost"?
  19. Not to mention ASW / Slag#1 Sarnie!
  20. Rubbish. Lots of reasons why you should come: 1) You never do what you are told 2) No-one on here has the right to tell you what to do (apart from me ) 3) It's a free country, drive where you like 4) You're a good lad 5) You drive a Lambo and promise me a drive
  21. So in the good days (past few years) you guys bank your profits ready for the lean years (next few years?) and not waste it on brightly coloured fast women or cars? LMAO Just joking, Sarnie, love you and your motor - when you at the next Z meet cos I want to get up close and personal with your baby...
  22. Plenty more fools to keep the fire going
