  1. Evolution of a typical maths question in any UK school over the years................ 1. Teaching Maths In 1970 A logger sells a truckload of lumber for £100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price. What is his profit? 2. Teaching Maths In 1980 A logger sells a truckload of lumber for £100. His cost of production is 4/5 of the price, or £80. What is his profit? 3. Teaching Maths In 1990 A logger sells a truckload of lumber for £100. His cost of production is £80. Did he make a profit? 4. Teaching Maths In 2000 A logger sells a truckload of lumber for £100. His cost of production is £80 and his profit is £20. Your assignment: Underline the number 20. 5. Teaching Maths In 2007 A logger cuts down a beautiful forest because he is selfish and inconsiderate and cares nothing for the habitat of animals or the preservation of our woodlands. He does this so he can make a profit of £20. What do you think of this way of making a living? Topic for class participation after answering the question: How did the birds and squirrels feel as the logger cut down their homes? (There are no wrong answers. ) 6. Teaching Maths 2017 أ المسجل تبيع حموله شاحنة من الخشب من اجل 100 دولار. صاحب تكلفة الانتاج من الثمن. ما هو الربح له؟
  2. I'm with Barclays, but it's only a matter of time. Read today that there are websites selling banking details for £5, fortunately I never have £5 in my account
  3. A fire fighter is working on the engine outside the station when he notices a little girl next door in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle. The girl is wearing a fire fighter's helmet. The wagon is being pulled by her dog and her cat. The fire fighter walked over to take a closer look. 'That sure is a nice fire truck,' the fire fighter says with admiration. 'Thanks', the girl says. The firefighter looks a little closer and notices the girl has tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's testicles. 'Little Partner', the fire fighter says, 'I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar too, I think you could go faster.' The little girl replies thoughtfully, 'You're probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren.
  4. "but the Department of Culture, Media and Sport have deemed the display team 'too militaristically British'."
  5. I'd check around locally, I have just bought a full set of Toyo's from the local independant dealer, £100 less than Blackcircles. 275/40/18 and 245/40/18's - £599 locally, £696 Blackcircles.
  6. The world-famous Red Arrows have been banned from appearing at the 2012 London Olympics because they are deemed 'too British'. Organisers of the event say that the Arrows military background might be 'offensive' to other countries taking part in the Games. The display team have performed at more than 4000 events worldwide, but the Department of Culture, Media and Sport have deemed the display team 'too militaristically British'. Red Arrows pilots were said to be 'outraged', as they had hoped to put on a truly world class display for the Games, something which had never been seen before. Being axed from a British-based event for being 'too British' is an insult - the Arrows are a symbol of Britain. The Red Arrows have been excellent ambassadors for British overseas trade, as they display their British-built Hawk aircraft all over the world. The Arrows performed a short flypast in 2005 when the winning bid was announced, but their flypast at the Games was to have been truly spectacular. It is to be hoped that common sense prevails, so if you disagree with this decision, please sign the petition on the link. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/RedArrows201 ... Arrows2012 Please forward this on to everyone you can.

  8. Used to do Sprints & Hill climbs but that was in the old days in a mini cooper S so my advice is worthless, but if you have as much fun as I did, enjoy.
  9. Don't usually go on names, but in the Grand National it's as good a system as any, will be having a small EW wager on Philson Run, only because by son is Philip. Will also be having a go on Butlers Cabin AP is desperate for a win in the National.

  13. The Archbishop of Canterbury has finally got his way. British weather has been declared Muslim . . . It's partly Sunni, but mostly Shi'ite.
  14. Well said, another point to consider is that this forum is open to anyone to view, even the guy's who's trying to sell his car!!
  15. 18'' Nismo's £1150 ran out of time today call you in the morning. Aren't the 19's only £50 more? Correct, down to volume now as the 18's are not produced in huge numbers. I'm sure mbs has his reasons but just not sure why someone would choose 18's over 19's for £50 difference Because he wouldn't believe any of us when we said that 19s don't ruin the ride. Partly true, but also beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I personally think 18's with 275/40s look better than 19's with 35's
  16. Didn't bother as I assumed everyone knew what thay looked like, will do when i get home
  17. Just fitted new Nismo LM GT4's, got them from Big Phil, great service, great price. Look great.
  18. Nothing special just get T1-R's
