What do we offer to fit the 350Z and 370Z? Look here!
ben@RARE RIMS replied to ben@RARE RIMS's topic in RareRims
D2EX are 18" only currently. Grids we can order in Chameleon - they just take a while - if you're like some we're happy to order them for you -

So, finally it's on to the future! What would you like that we dont have there? Are there any finishes you would like to see that aren't currently available in the wheel you'd like? Let us know, we'll see what we can do! Rota will not make single special order sets of wheels - we have to hit minimum order quantities so if you want sky blue pink with yellow polker dotted wheels you're going to be disappointed, but if your idea is not too far out then we may take the balance in to stock, or some other people here might like to get involved - so please give us a bell and we'll see what we can do -

There are a few other 18s that are slightly different sizes and offsets, but can and do still work: Force 18x9 Front: 18x10.5 Rear: D2EX - these are ET12 so may require arch rolling depending on your choice of tyres and ride height / alignment: MXR - a few options here: 18x9 ET25: 18x10 ET12: 18x11 ET8: Finally the T2R woul dbe 18x9.5 ET25 all round: -
We do get asked from time to time what the options are... So I thought a thread listing them with pictures could be a good plan Firstly in 18" in 8.5" width if you are not after wider wheels than stock we have: Fighter: Grid: GTR: RT5: Torque: It's quite common to use the above as a front, and team them up with a wider rear as well - here are the 18x9.5 options to match: Fighter: Grid: GTR: GTR-D (Also matches the 8.5 GTR - same face but with a dish) RT5: Torque:
-
They will fit the wheels, but just double check the rolling radius against what you have to make sure the TC wont get angry with you

Warehouse Lighting - Anybody know lots about it?

So I am learning... I am getting lots of quotes in, but I was hoping for some feedback without a vested interest... unless of course somebody wants to do some dealing with some wheels -
Warehouse Lighting - Anybody know lots about it?
ben@RARE RIMS replied to ben@RARE RIMS's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Cheers We're trying to factor in the running costs as well, it's 20mx38m the area being lit, 7.9m apex and 6m at the sides. -
Anybody know about warehouse lighting? LED? Induction? Sodium? Others? We're looking at moving down the road, and have to re-jig the lighting and get a load more, and not having done this before, dont have much experience in it. Can anybody give us some pointers of which direction is best these days? Thanks!

18 inch rota journey 5x114 et15 9.5j fr and 18x10j rears
ben@RARE RIMS replied to Y23DRH's topic in Wheels
Brake clearance would be worth checking before you buy them if you can if at all possible? -
It'll also be the weather. My 530D is constantly having the traction light flash as me now it's got a bit colder - makes it even more boring
-
We have these available to us, and are thinking of getting them in. These are the specs: 18x10.5 ET27 18x8.5 ET20 They look like this: Does anybody fancy any of these? What are your thoughts? They're Rotary Forged so strong and light Cheers for your feedback!

Why do people pick 19's over 18's with Grid drifts?
ben@RARE RIMS replied to parello9's topic in 350Z General
19s are more popular just because they're 19s I reckon, and are bigger - they suit the car as it's got big arches All Grids that fit 350/370s are in the Drift range, our Drift range is just the bigger wheels Non-drift Grids are 15x7, 16x7 and 17x7.5 If you went for 18s I would suggest 18x9.5 ET20 front and 18x10 ET15 rear to best fill the arches. For 19s it's 19x9.5 ET20 and 19x10.5 ET20 18x9.5 and 18x10 share the same face, and look like this: The 19x9.5s are concave, but the same amount as the 18s but over a bigger size, so it looks less so: The 19x10.5s have the dish - which is another reason people go for the 19s - they like the dish! With regards the GTR / GTR-D thing, the GTR comes in flat face in the 18x8.5: and concave in 18x9.5: The GTR-D is different again, it's like the 8.5 GTR, but with a dish: Much more popular in the GTR for the Z are the 19s: -

For those that are so inclined, it's getting near to winter tyre switch over temps. For those not interested in such things... be sure to leave just a little more margin for error with your daily driving, as grip levels will be dropped as tyres aren't reaching full operating temps Stay safe everybody! Hopefully it warms back up soon, and this hasn't set in until Spring!
