If you've got Rota GTRs, there's no way you've got those sizes 18x8.5 18x9.5 19x9 19x10 Are pretty much the options for the 350Z. Got any pics?

Could be. Could also be the cold - what size wheel/tyre do you have? I had a stretched falken go down on my car while parked in the ice last year

If you have a polished lip on the wheel, it can happen if the lacquer gets chipped. It's very rare to happen on a Rota wheel that doesn't have a polished lip - that would indicate probable damage from tyre fitting at some point. Corrosion usually has to be quite bad to have a tyre go down!

Looks like a decent job Could use spacers though

He said they were too much, so I guess the options are get something else, or get really really lucky and find some used ones

If you get the size of the studs you need, or send one to a wheel shop It's likely a reputable wheel supplier will have some on the shelf Also, they're about £2 for a stud unless you go to an OEM dealer...

Those aren't Rota wheels You just looking to free up cash, or would you entertain any PXs?

We have some GTRs Gunmetal with Polished Lip we could do a bit of a deal on - they have a slightly defective finish but with a bit of effort they could be as good as new

Just a little bump... it's not a myth. It's very much true. There's a favourite picture of Rota wheels, some Subzeros, that were used only on track, and really hard on track, for 2 years, and had no issues. The owner, who we know, had them powder coated to sell on. First time out for the new owner they twisted. Yes, it is possible to powdercoat a wheel safely, but not all places are aware of the heat treating a wheel gets in manufacture giving it a large portion of it's strength, and re-heating to a fair high temp for a prolonged period effects the structural properties.

We offer Hyper Black wheels - we just dont do those in Hyper Black

The reason I ask is I am interested to see the origin of the wheels, as I am not sure we have done them in that fitment / colour!

If you remember, the next time you get tyres... could you fire me a picture of the sticker on the wheel near the valve please? They look really smart, totally suit the car!

Unless they're an OEM wheel, you'll essentially find all after-market wheels are 60 degree Tapered seat

I am a big fan of steel internal nuts I run them on all my cars, they save any wheel damage. The older style allen key ones were a little hit and miss, but the current version which are star drive are spot on... so much so we got them here in 4 different finishes It is possible for Aluminium ones to work, they just require much greater care, as they are a softer material, so they will tend to fail over time if over-tightened and not kept copper-slipped or similar to prevent galvonic corrosion

Essentially if you're careful you'll be fine It's just you need to make sure you check them often, and always torque them to the correct amount which is about 70lbft.

We have our own range, not the Tpi ones, but we can do the Tpi ones too if needed. Interal nuts that are allen key drive were prone to issue, star drive ones are spot on.

We have no end of issues with them, so despite being able to sell them if people would like them, for show cars and the likes, we have taken it upon ourselves to stock tuner nuts, normal nuts and spline drive nuts all in a variety of colours so people can have the look without the potential agro

The concave is a feature of the width, in an 18" wheel they'll be 9.5" to get the concave, in the 19s the 9s have a little concave, the 10s have lots
