  1. Quite correct Its a totally unfair system, like so many tax and other things in this country now and that could get me onto the benefits we hand out to everyone who just see the UK as the best charity going..... a charity but not for its occupants i.e: those born and bred here (just so we are clear!)

  3. This link might help you: http://www.voa.gov.uk/council_tax/cti_home.htm and where it says: Property values and bands The council tax band of a property is not related to its current market value. This is because, by law, council tax valuations are based on the price a property would have fetched if it had been sold on 1 April 1991. For Wales the Valuation date is 1 April 2003. General price movements in the housing market since that date are not, therefore, a reason for changing a council tax banding. If you are thinking of challenging your band, please read the 'Can I challenge the list entry?' pages for the circumstances that permit a 'proposal for alteration of a list'. Therefore all based on the 'assumed' value on 1/4/91, irrespective of the fact it might be brand new. So if you can find out what comparable flats were sold for then, and hopefully they would be in Band B, or even better band A, a challenge could well be worthwhile.
  4. Any lawyers in the house care to back this up? I'm no lawyer but this link clarifies the issue http://www.m6toll.co.uk/about/safety.asp

    My Nismo Wheels

They look really good Dave - got me thinking they might well be my best option
  6. What was your wifes view on the car Martin, you got a lot for your £300 She loves it, even I was shocked. Well worth the money and she is even asking what is next for her wardrobe If yours is anything like mine........ (June usually mutters something like mid-life crises and I then notice she starts pawing through the latest clothes magazine turning the corners of pages over, in that way you know when a woman means more than a little hint! )
  7. Sealed system - you would need to get the garage to check it, but first i suggest you run it for a while, switch off and see if 'your' puddle starts to appear - would be quite normal as all air-cons deposit condensation.
  8. +1 - but have you been using the air-con a lot?. If so it could be that as its new that some excess condensation has deposited itself. Easy to check the levels of both the radiator and the washer bottle (hold your finger over the air hole in the cap of the latter as you pull it away so as to see the level in the tube). As you said it was clear and no smell it is unlikley to be either, unless no windscreen wash has been put in the system
  9. Welcome to the site - and you have chosen well, not only the best colour but with the Nismo kit it really looks the part - nice to see it with the other wheels on Be good to see you in Wales on the 11th - get in quick though before Beavis cuts a strop that won't be able to go horse racing next week - can't see the appeal of that myself when hes got 296 at home raring to go
  10. But how does the on-the-road price of a new ZED in Ireland compare to England
  11. Ditto, or bash them forward and give someone a flash of high beam Oh I do that to all the 3 series / A4 / Golf owners with their foglights on! Do you wear a long raincoat as well?
  12. +1 - was reportedly doing 7m 25s and still in developement. At this rate wouldnt be supprised to see sub 7m 20s from it. And if they gave it to that local lass who tracked Top Gears van round in some incredible time, 7m 15 might be on
  13. Yep - looks really good - looking forward to seeing it in the flesh at Chester. Just one question - in changing to the (Alezan?) trim was it a deliberate thing not to do the handbrake cover? On a similar point, I was surprised when my 06 (with Alezan) arrived it was without that on the steering wheel, unlike earlier models, and as I see Martin has chosen. I'm quite happy with the all black steering wheel though
  14. Accommodation booked 5-8 September - Glenmoriston Manse on A887 Thought I had better get in quick - if you get 50 as for the Wales run I didn't fancy camping out in case Nessie was an amphibian
  15. Car looks very nice Martin - but er, why do you feel the need for a hairdryer? Is it going on the bonnet as a mascot then? I keep hearing these expressions 'hairdressers cars'. If you arrive at the dockside like it really would be, "hello sailor"
  16. The sad thing is that is probably more likely nowadays, but of course no parent would admit to their child using such words although adults using it when children are around is sadly commonplace now.
  17. Welcome to the site: Reckon on about half the mpg you currently get, if you drive the car how it encourages you Yes, you might see the right side of 20 but the sound and car's ability, (and as long as you treat damp/slippery surfaces with respect) is so intoxicating the :teeth:'s will far outweigh the downside of digging deeper in your pocket
  18. Which company is that Jay? Probably a sideline of ESR to keep the business flowing
  19. Im going to see how it affects insurance soon as we will be getting a joint car, however i may also put my mum or dad on the insurance to lower the price you could put ebized on agreed, shall we say I can do 5000 miles in your car with you providing the petrol for such exclusivity On the other hand Stew - might have to ditch the young flusey and become a toy-boy
  20. Lambo was sold ages ago What about that toy one you kept - Nixy didn't say which
  21. That's likely to be Zedrush - he had already planned the long way via Bristol but now he's got his pride and joy all kitted out Im sure he'll take the opportunity to show it off on a longer route to win that prize
  22. First detailing products arrived - Duragloss Microfibre Plush Wash Mitt and Drying Towel (26" x 17") - from CCSLtd (next day delivery). They are soooooooooo soft - Mrs has got quite jealous the car is getting better tarting products than hers
  23. Dont know a TVR that has done a full tank of fuel between breakdowns Bitch
  24. Good to see you will be driving at a nice steady 56mph and saving fuel
