Always good to see the forum helping out! Nice one guys! Hopefully meet you soon as you are local(ish)!

Thanks Martin I have the Finichi Firenze's available in 19" staggered fitments.
-
Will check with my neighbour who has just moved back here from Holland where he was for 4-5 years. He has just bought an E46 M3 ragtop and is paying c£00 so there must be some no claims being used there somehow.

+1 £15k seems to be the minimum amount for a decent install if you are to pay a company to fit it for you.

Cheers Nixy! Have set aside some time on it tomorrow so hoping to progress quite a lot by the weekend.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL MAGNIFECENT MAN U Vs BARCA
Andy replied to M350ZB's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Na, Tevez will come on as a super sub and score the winner, thus sealing a multi-million pound contract renewal with Man Utd. -
Yes they are wider on the Rays. I personally wouldn't put a 245 on an 8J rim as it would look slightly bulbous. The 235 would look ok though imho.

Will have a Kinetix Plenum for sale in a month or so from my car.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL MAGNIFECENT MAN U Vs BARCA
Andy replied to M350ZB's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I'm watching it in my living room with a few mates. I reckon Man Utd to win 2-1 but will go a goal down early on. Shades of Sheringham/Solskjaer -
+1 Have never seen those before either!

It's all being logged and will be handed to my solicitor once I have the full list of things wrong with the car. At the moment I am finding more and more each day, such as the exhaust and water but want to go in with one big list rather than bits & pieces here and there. It's all rather depressing but I just have to keep focused on getting it finished and back to how it should be!

Cheers guys! Another weekend and more problems found!! Firstly, I went to get some road tax on Friday afternoon, checked it when I got home and the IQ challenged woman at the post office had failed to copy my reg correctly onto the tax disc. Took it back saturday morning and instead of simply renewing me with a new one, they kept me waiting half an hour to then tell me I had to contact the DVLA which I proceded to do once I got home. They informed me that I need to photocopy my tax disc and along with a covering letter, send it off to them to explain what happened and they will issue me with a new one. They also told me I had to register it with my local police station! So.....an hour later I am still in Crawley nick giving a statement to a copper who then had to type it all out and give me a reference number so I won't get in trouble for displaying an incorrect tax disc! Not impressed!! Saturday afternoon rolled around and Mark aka 3FIDDYZ and Dan aka dcash5 came over for a mini mod meet! I had been concerned about some water I had found in the passenger footwell when reinstalling the seat and upon further investigation found the carpet to be waterlogged! So with Marks help, we ended up stripping out the whole interior, plastics and carpets!! Found the carpets were soggy and there were pools of water in the footwell. I can only assume that the car had been left outside in the rain with no windows in. Center console out... Rear plastics out While I was there, I had two new brackets to fit for the rear cubby holes so installed them in while we were there. Carpets and plastics out Water found in the footwell Wet carpets out drying A picture of the dead fly in the roof paint as well!! While the plastics were out, I also decided to remove the rear washer jets as they were a bit redundant now I have de-wipered it as well!! Before After Have put a gromit in there but forgot to take a picture! Stripped all the fluid pipes out as well as they were also no longer needed and I didn't want them leaking into the roof lining etc The other problem I wanted to address this weekend was my exhaust that sounded a tad blowy so up the car went again onto axle stands to allow me to have a good look. I found a few problems!! Found a load of mud and earth up and around the exhaust and the brackets which leads me to believe that it has been grounded out whilst in the bodyshop. Also found that the exhaust was slightly ajar where the y-pipe met the center section so stripped this down, leaned it up and re-fitted it so it was secure. Was checking the rest of the exhaust and found a huge dent in the center section along with a cracked weld......this certainly wasn't like this when it went into thebodyshop!! Slightly unproductive weekend as seem to have gone backwards with the car but had to go back to progress with it and at least I can sort these problems fairly easily! Cheers to Mark and Dan for their help on Saturday, was appreciated!

Gutted to hear that mate How much would it cost to buy the car back against what you would receive? The mods, if ok, you could always transfer to a new car or sell on. Can you contest the value offered?

Cheers guys!! Update time...have been fairly busy on the car the last couple of days. After I had sorted the mechanics, I turned my attention to the bodywork. First job was to remove the butchered arches and spacers so the car would be ready for an mot....it would also show me how badly fitted the arches were.... Rear nearside..... Nice finish..... Any more filler anyone?? Nice finish on the f.glass My favourite bit, the cardboard used to reinforce the arch!!!! FAIL!! The fuel filler cap is another piece of art..... More nice fibreglass work! Also found the nuts were rounded off on two of the spacers. Anyway, after cleaning everything up and taking off the arches and spacers, the car looked like this..... I went through my mot checklist and had to sort a few issues out, side indicators, rear led had to be fitted for the fog light, secure the headlights in place, re-fit the oem passenger seat, do an airbag reset procedure, check the wipers and fluid levels etc. Took it for it's mot this morning and it passed with no advisories! Am rather chuffed bearing in mind its condition when I got it back a little over a week ago Taxed it this afternoon so it is now road legal again and also had some new arches turn up from CS....haven't unwrapped them yet but will update once I have tomorrow morning!! Am very happy to be back on the road in my Z even if it still needs a fair amount of work done to it!! A couple of things I had forgotten about the Z in general and mine.....I had forgotten how loud my exhaust was...might have to look into it, and also how easy it is to creep up to licence losing speeds in it!! Anyway, tomorrow is all about the arches and cracking on with the bodywork....will update as and when I can!! Andy

370z Preview - Saturday 23rd May - Sturgess Nissan
Andy replied to MITZ@CougarStore's topic in 370z General
Such a great opportunity for people in the Midlands! Am still hoping to catch a glance of one at a local dealership round my neck of the woods! -
Good choice on the colour as well. Not sure they bronze would work against the Azure but they look spot on
-
That makes such a difference. Totally changes the stance. Small change but a very good one imo.
-
Not sure on this but a stab in the dark...is it in neutral and the handbrake applied fully? I have no idea if is makes a difference but it's all I can think if at the moment!
