  2. Clarkie, you have a pm Congratulations to all the winners!
  3. I still had my oem center pipe so just swapped them over for the mot and while the Nismo one was out I got it welded up then swapped them back over.
  4. I'm doing a great deal on reverse suicide doors!
  5. Cheers Rob! tbh, it amazes me that I have done more in the two and a half weeks that I have had the car back than the bodyshop managed to achieve in over 14 months! Just hoping it will all be worth it, fingers crossed! It will be Andy I'm sure... As someone else has already said, at the end of this you'll have one of the most amazing cars on here and one you built yourself (not many can say that now can they!!)... And then you can start on mine Andy What's left to do! Cheers Rob, fingers crossed
  6. Tidy mods! The carbon strut cover is trick, do like them!! Liking the badge as well, goes well on the Sunset!

  8. Cheers Martin! It is a shame as it is a cracker of a day here but I have just treated myself to a cold beer, I felt I deserved it!
  9. I agree now that I have swapped them over. Sticking with the oem plenum also means that the carbon cover fits flush whereas I had to trim my old one (badly) to fit arounf the Kinetix plenum!
  10. I'm not really one to loose my temper to be honest. I am a firm believer in fate and what goes around, comes around so he will get his come uppance........eased along by my solicitor of course! I was going to hold off fitting some of my new mods until it was painted but I couldn't resist this morning so I cracked on with the engine/engine bay. I was removing my Kinetix Plenum as the new strut brace wouldn't work with that and my carbon bonnet. I had previously got the oem plenum powder coated in black and I also had a new carbon cover to go on, carbon battery/brake fluid covers, a red Veilside sticker and a Cusco strut brace as well as refitting a load of bits and bobs that had come back in boxes. Before....with the Kinetix Plenum The powdercoated oem plenum Stripped down with the old Kinetix plenum off New powdercoated oem plenum fitted with the carbon covers, carbon engine cover, Veilside vinyl and Cusco strut brace. Quite chuffed with the overall look of the engine bay now, needs a bit of a clean and a few more clips and bits fitted but overall, I am pleased. Off to play with the new TPMS system now!!
  11. Was hoping to come up with Mark aka 3FIDDYZ tomorrow but have taken the late decision to crack on with my Z and try to get it ready for paint! Have a good day all and look forward to seeing the pictures!
  12. It's too easy to do! Did the same to mine last week!!
  13. Andy

    Avon tyres

Good in the dry, widow makers in the wet, Pirelli's all day long imho.
  14. I'm going as fast as I can/my Mrs allows me time on the car
  15. Cheers Martin, can't wait for when I can actually bring it out to a Z meet!!
  16. Today I had the exhaust wealded by a friend who builds hot rods! Re-installed the center section with some new gaskets and everything is now good in my exhaust world Also re-secured the front bumper as it was only held on with one screw and 3 incorrect plastic clips All sorted now though although my camera wasn't charged today so no pics Did have the camera ready in time to meet up with my mate Jas in his R33 Skyline though. Happy days! Tomorrow I will be taking the whole front bumper off and resecuring the lights properly, re-aligning the front bumper and making sure there is nothing untoward going on behind the bumper! No doubt more things will crop up to do but will have to see what comes up.
  17. It is a bit of a nightmare but looking at the bright side of things, I am really loving working on the car and putting it all back together! Will be nice to say that I built it myself from ground up! Update...Yesterday I tackled the issue of the exhaust and stripped out the center section that had the crack in it that needed wealding. Also put the interior back in after it had dried out. Feels a little more like home now! Fixed the wingmirrors that had been thrown on with just one nut instead of three! Also finished stripping out the washer fluid tubing that runs to the rear window. Involved taking the osf wheel off and arch lining then just pulling it through and removing it from the pump at the bottom of the washer fluid bottle and sealing the pump so it won't leak or drip!
  18. Or just remove your doorhandles then see the confused look on their faces! Glad she came out of it ok though, could have ended a very different way
  19. Go for an aftermarket system. CS does the Scorpion system for a lot more respectable money. (He is a trader on here)
  20. Agreed, I got my Bride frames from Adam and had to make up some custom rails to fit my Cobra's onto them.
  21. Well have you tried Sparco to see if they have one for the Z?
  22. What seat are you trying to mount in the car?
