Ok so it's been three months since my last update I've been quite busy recently and although I posted some other pictures of how the car was a few months ago after it was painted, i thought I would put some progression pictures up as well as some other things I have been working on.
I managed to get some genuine Veilside rear arches from Rico aka sub-zero. Top bloke and met him at Lakeside to do the exchange. Good to meet you and your Mrs mate, hope to catch up with you soon

I then test fitted them on the car, making a few minor tweaks for a perfect fit.
Once I was happy with them, I drilled and riveted these on. (Excuse the bad picture)
Another thing I wanted to do was smooth in the Ings spoiler into the boot to take out the gap that was there. Some P40 and P38 later, along with some more wet & drying and it looked like this....(pics are after painting as I can't find the pre pictures!)
Once these were on, I started the strip down ready for prepping and painting, I found some rather nasty undercoat runs where the chap hadn't bothered to mask things up properly.
I cleaned all this up and cracked on with 2-3 days of wet and drying the whole car back. I took the front bumper off and did that seperatly.
Once this was done, i could start the process of masking up the whole car and primering it, rubbing down with fine grit wet and dry between coats.

Then came the fun part, painting the car!! This was always going to be a short term solution to get the car in one colour so I could at least enjoy it for a few months before winter!

I stripped the A-pillars off to paint them on their own then refitted
Unfortunatley, I seem to have lost the pictures of the front bumper as well as a few others so we now jump to almost the finished article after a few coats of paint.
I also added the badging on the back and refitted the carbon wrapped surround around the exhaust

Now at this point, I was happy with the exterior once I had added the spacers to the car.
At this point I needed to fix the exhaust again as it had developed another weak spot. The same mate that had helped me before made quick work of this once again.

I now wanted to turn my attention to the interior as a lot of the interior plastics had been scratched and beaten up whilst it was gone so I decided as a solution I would rub them all down and paint them the original B16 Azure blue that the Z was. After doing it and re-installing them I decided I didn't like them so they will be changed apart from the dial surround which I kinda like in blue.

All this work was completed a couple of months ago or so and now the winter has come, i have once again taken the Z off the road for some winter tinkering. Having had the car on the road for 2-3 months, I have been able to do a lot of fault finding with it and now have a list of around 50 items that need attention!
This started with removing the front arches, frot bumper and headlights so I can do some fibreglass work on the bumper and arches as well as cut the oem arches back as the front wheels are rubbing on bumpy roads. I took this opportunity to strip the headlights apart and de-tango them.
