  1. Should be up Friday as well mate in the Z then crashing overnight somewhere ready for the Z meet on the Saturday!!! I love it when a plan comes together!!
  2. Not good!!! Try taking the rear wiper off as well and if that doesn't work, you thought about a perspex rear window??
  3. Same day as the Oxford meet!!!!!!!! What to do, what to do.....both??
  4. Just been outside and thrown the bugger in the bin and the bootlid stays up on its own now (so long as no gusts of wind catch it!!!) Onwards and upwards!!
  5. Well at least the swing was freed from the oppressive bees, wonder if any Stings of Mass Destruction were found after the massacre!!!
  6. Ah that's good news then!! Roll on more sound proofing!!! Cheers guys!
  7. Over the last week or so I have been stripping the back of the car out ready for my install to go in but while dynamatting the bootlid I found something and I am not sure what it is!!! If you take the plastic inner casing off which sits on the inner side of the bootlid and hides the wiper mechanism, right in the middle in a slight recess there is a black rectangular box, quite heavy but with no wires attached to it that unbolts along with its outer housing by 4 socket bolts!! What the hell is it as I am a bit reluctant to take it out for the time being but I could do with losing it to loose the extra weight in the bootlid and so that I can dynamat the area behind!! The only thing I can work out that it is, is simply a weight to make sure the boot has enough weight to close properly.....can anyone help me at all!!!! Cheers, Andy
  8. Hi guys, ever so sorry I couldn't make it in the end!! Lets just say I have had a month from hell and this is the first time I have been able to get online!! Basically had my place broken into, laptop stolen along with keys for my Cougar and Golf as well as a few other items. Then I had the pleasure of having my brothers next door neighbour reverse down her drive.....straight into my drivers door.....and then for her to deny it even though my brother was watching....and the best bit of all, she is a copper!! All sorted now though so no point in crying over spilt milk!! Looks like you all had a good day and would have loved to have got involved with all the pranks and general arsing about!!!! I guarantee I will be at the next one!!
  9. No problem at all, glad you got them ok!!! Welcome to the Toyo club! Enjoy!!
  10. Hi mate, they are just loose tyres so assuming they haven't got dirty in the delivery van you should be ok. Might be worth a sheet though if you have one if they are wet etc.
  11. Lovely wheels and top quality....had a set in 19" on my last car. My concerns though... 1 - They are not offering a wider rear....I would advise running a wider tyre on the rear otherwise you will loose stability to a degree. 2 - He says they will fit a Z and 200SX (both 5 x 114.3 PCD's) as well as an A4 (5 x 112 PCD) If it is only a single set he has then you need to make sure they are a 5 x 114.3 fitment. You can fit a 5 x 112 PCD wheel to the Z but you will have to use what is known as a wobbly bolt and I would not recommend this at all!!! They may be doing just a general advertisment for general Kahn wheels in which case, it is worth sending them a message to see what they can offer for the Z. Hope this helps, Andy
  12. I can recommend Wicked Wheels in Crawley...I know it is a bit far but worth mentioning just in case.....speak with Roger on 07766 552 003 and tell him Andy from RnR sent you and he should do you a trade price deal.
  13. Awesome!! This is really taking off now!!! Let's go with the 10th as most people seem more at ease with that date. As far as locations and routes go I am easy, don't know the area too well so am more than happy to go with the flow so long as there are some Shell petrol stations en route!!!
  14. Stop it, i'm gonna cry in a minute!! Feel the love!!!!! Seriously though, glad to help out mate and will be good to catch up on the 10th at the meet!
  15. Indeed the T1-S has now been discontinued in the majority of sizes but are still available in some common sizes such as 225/40/18, 225/45/17 and 195/50/15 etc. The T1-S's are generally cheper as they are not the dual compound and don't last as long but they definatley haven't been discontinued in the T1-R range. Would be interesting to see what price they could do them for though....any chance of asking them about the T1-R's??
  16. One does try!! Thanks guys, glad you got the tyres ok Steve!
  17. The speedo etc will all be fine as you just compensate with a lower profile tyre on the rear to keep the rolling diameter the same. For example I am running 245/35/20 on the front and 275/30/20 on the rear on 9's and 10's.
  18. Bap, those comments are pure genius!!!!! I got my Z as I had my old Ford Cougar (no comments please) for just over 4 years, I have been working my ass off and I wanted to treat myself. It simply ticked all the boxes for me...rwd, 2 seater, looks cool, good base power etc I would be a blatent liar if I said I didn't love the attention the car gets, especially with the VS kit and 20's on but I have to honestly say I don't play up to it when I do get the attention. I simply roll on by with a smug grin on my face. As for being stereotyped, I have seen all kinds of people driving Z's near me. Young women in Roadsters up to older men who seem quite content to pootle about as if it were a Rover 416!
  19. The price will stay at the £450 mark for as long as I can keep them there. There are rumours of a Toyo price rise in February but it is unconfirmed at the moment but hopefully we will be able to maintain them at that price. What sizes are you running on the 19's and i'll work out a price for you mate.
  20. Damn, sorry to hear it all mate. Hope you get it all sorted quickly and with minimal effort.
  21. Innit!!!! Me West Coast can drift betta van yor Z innit! Tossers!
  22. Normally it is very good. The Jap drivers tend to just park up and chat but every now and again you get the odd Saxo or Corse driver thinking they can drift!! There is also space underground if it rains!
