I've decided I need to get myself a second car as my Z is taking a hammering with the amount of miles I am doing (now well over 20k since I have had it, which has been about 10 months!!) I have been debating over whether to get a real POS for a couple of hundred quid or something a bit more expensive but with that, a bit more reliabality, newer etc. Basically I am after some ideas of what to get, anything you have driven before and recommend, anything you drive yourself?? I could do with a bit of boot space for dump runs etc, must have air-con for the summer, preferably diesel and something that isn't going to drag its arse on the motorways!!! Probably looking up to about a maximum of £4k for the right car. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Same size all round as well (8.5J) so unless you want a slight stretch on the front, they wouldn't be that suitable for the Z even if the offsets were suitable.

Sarnie, if you have any advice, I would appreciate it! I have done the same as you and will be starting up in a couple of weeks!! It is indeed scary but would prefer to earn my own money rather than lining others pockets!! Pleased it is working well for you mate!

I got my 53 plate a year ago in mint condition for £17k!!! I'd personally walk away from this one, plenty of other z's in the sea.

In all fairness, the engineers seemed to know what they were talking about and chatted to me about the rear clicking axle etc. The sales staff and managers were also top drawer. They took copies of the photos as well so you never know, they may use them for their own advertising!

Cheers to J for an interesting day!! Highlight for me had to be when they asked us when we imported our Z's and they didn't realise the JDM Z's came with doors like that!! Was priceless when we informed them they were acyually both UK cars!
