Hi All, had a look at a 370z (thanks again for your feedback) and I'm definitely going to take the plunge. One question though... Is anyone using an external SSD via the USB port to play their music? Or even a USB memory stick? I know there is a 9Gb capacity in the Nissan head unit, but I would like to use my SSD, as I currently use with my Pioneer Head Unit (soon to be for sale ) I plugged it into the 370z USB port and nothing happened? The technician couldn't work it out either. I am thinking that because there is a lot of music on the drive it would take time to scan the drive first perhaps? Thanks Neil

Thank you. I assume you know Wil370 or you'll be in trouble One question - is the ground clearance on a Nismo the same as a GT? I like the red sill on front and it would be gutting to scatch it. Neil

Great feedback Will - thank you. It's always good to hear positive and negatives points as it enables me to make informed decisions. Neil

I was going to say if you were local to me I would let you have a spin in my 70 but sadly just a little too far í ½í¸ ( Winchester here) I went from a 350 DE to the 370z limited edition jobby. As someone has already mentioned the 350z feels a more raw driving experience and the 70 feels a little more refined when driving ( perhaps lacking a little more soul than the 50???) The looks of the 70 can be marmite for some, for me it needs to be modded aesthetically for it to be pleasing to the eye. Best thing to do is get yourself in for a test drive and see what you think. Ps. The Synchro rev is lovely and very addictive Thank you Humpy, that is very kind of you to offer. I'll go for a test drive at a local Nissan Dealer. Neil

Just a quick post to thank you all for your feedback. I knew I could rely on you Forum Guys As we 350z owners know, there is a knack to master the synchro from 1st to 2nd gear (pause a little). Has this been fixed in the 370z box? Again, thank you all for your feedback and advice. Neil

Thank you Richesio, awesome feedback. Just what I needed to hear from an owner and not a sales guy Neil

I originally wanted a blue one (same as my 350z) and although I haven't seen one in the flesh, I can't get past the colour seen in photographs. It appears to be a 'baby blue' colour i.e. not a dark blue like the Azure? As a result, I am forced to consider a Silver If it was closer to the Azure Blue, I would probably bite your hand off mate. Thank you for your feedback - much appreciated. Neil #ShamelessPlugWorthAsking !!

Hi all, I am thinking of upgrading my 350z to a 370z. I have seen the reviews on this site relating to the 370z but they are general test drive video's and not actual owners reviews. Can anyone out there who owns a 370z offer their views please? and also advise on known issues, to help me make a decision. Also, which model is preferred - automatic or manual? Appreciate your feedback in advance Neil

Hi Dave, I was asking for pictures for the benefit of InCarTec, so that they can write specific code for us all, for when we upgrade the HU. I have a telephone button for answer/end a call and also a 'speech' button, which at the moment, changes the source on the HU from Radio, to USB1, USB2 etc. The idea was to enable 'siri' by using the 'speech' button on the steering wheel and not have to press and hold the 'home' key on the iPhone. Apparently, the buttons are different on certain steering wheels (source & telephone, speech & telephone), and this was why I was asking. I'll check Google - thanks Neil
-
I guess that's a 'No' then gentlemen? Thanks...

Hi All, This is in the interests of anyone who wishes to upgrade to an aftermarket HU. It would be great if you could oblige please? Thanks Neil

Sounds strange I know but please read on... I have been speaking with InCarTec today reference their loom kits and steering wheel control kits, to enable us to fit aftermarket head units. They have said that if I can send them pictures on the different 350z steering wheels, they will write specific code for our cars so that the phone buttons work, and also introduce 'siri' prompts when the 'speak' button is pressed. Can I ask you for the following please? Steering Wheel picture in an '05' plate UK & Import model Steering Wheel picture in an '06' plate UK & Import model Steering Wheel picture in an '07' plate UK & Import model If we can send them the pictures, I am sure we would all benefit when upgrading the head unit and requiring the conversion kits from InCarTec. Thanks Neil

To be honest, I'm yet to be impressed with the sound quality, particularly the bass. With the OEM HU, the bass was deep and punchy. Although I have only been listening to it for about 30 minutes so far (finished it today), I need to make sure I have wired everything correctly. The features of the unit are quite good especially of you want to bluetooth with your phone. The call quality is good too. One thing though - I can't work out how to switch the bloody thing off  Still learning at the moment... Neil

Just fitted a Poineer SPH-DA120 with a conversion kit from InCarTec. Noticed the bass is now not a loud or punchy as when the OEM HU was installed. Has anyone noticed a drop in bass sound when changing the HU or could I have wired up wrong? (although it's not hard as there are only RCA front and RCA rear connections), Any help would be appreciated please. Neil

Hi Matt, Thought I would let you know that I have fitted a Pioneer SPH-DA120 HU and conversion kit from Incartec, and can tell you that the phone button works Neil
-
Yes...before you all shout - I have read the other threads but I'm just checking Removed the OEM Player and fitted a Pioneer SPH-DA120 (well, in the process of...) Although there are sub woofer RCA sockets on the back of the Pioneer - I do not use them - is that correct? I simply connect the plug with the blue/white remote amp wire, to the rear RCA's and the right to the front RCA's? (Attached Picture 0889). There seems to be a plug missing for the speaker cables - this is correct 'Yes'? (I have searched a few times to try and find the plug in the dash - I think I am going mad ) - See Picture 0888. Also, the steering control works - I can skip forward/backward but can only increase volume - it does not decrease volume when pressing the 'down' button - Anyone else experienced this? Appreciate your help peeps Thanks Neil

Yeah, I thought that, but what is confusing me is that the rolling radius is correct and I have had 3 sets of the same size tyres without any issues whatsoever. Could it be a stability thing? I ask because I have a clicking on the OSF (sounds like brakes pads moving up and down in the calipers, but it isnt). I've changed the banana arms a couple of months ago - I think I'll replace all 4 drop links to see if that resolves it. Thank you for your replies gentlemen Neil
-
There's about 4mm on the fronts and 8mm on the rear - Good point mate, thank you

When I decided to purchase a set of 'summer wheels' a few years ago, I did alot of research into the correct rolling radius, as follows; Front OEM 225x45ZR18 = 245x35ZR19 Rear OEM 245x45ZR18 = 275x35ZR19 I have had 3 sets of tyres since then, mainly Falken 452's (directional). I have also used Dunlop SP1's Recently, I had to purchase a pair of Falken 453 (asymmetric) 275x35ZR19 for the rears as Falken have discontinued the 452 range. I now have 452's on the front (directional) and 453's on the rear (assymmetrical) Since then the traction control cuts in when travelling along bend to the right over 50mph! Quite un-nerving and cornering confidence is reduced. I can only put this down to the different tyre treads as I have never experienced this before (unless anyone has any other thoughts on this?). I am now stuck between a rock and a hard place as I may have to find funds to change the fronts to 453's as well, despite being assured by Blackcircle.com that it is OK to mix treads front to rear! If anyone is thinking of purchasing tyres, please bear the above in mind chaps... (is it possible to adjust the TC sensitivity perhaps?). Neil

Thinking about fitting a double din head unit with hands free and steering controls. I know that I can adjust volume, skip tracks etc using the steering control but will I lose the phone control? Has anyone fitted a head unit that allows the use of the phone controls and if 'yes', can you tell me the make and model please? Thanks Neil
-
<p> I agree - I'll change the fronts when I remove them for the winter (got to buy a pair for the OEM Alloys as well ) Also asked Blackcircles.com and this is their reply, if anyone else is interested... Hi Neil, Yes this would not be a problem 452 is directional so they will be okay on the front and 453 is asymmetric which is not a problem for the rear. Thank you for your input Gentlemen Neil
-
I have 452's on the front as well though. (different tread pattern to the 453's) Have I got to change all 4 tyres? Please say 'No' Neil
