  1. To be honest, I reckon they'll just be delighted with yet more good publicity for the car. I doubt they were unaware of Autocar's plans when they gave them the car - this is their second so they were bound to have an angle. I'm looking forward to this....
  2. Two thoughts. First, what are these numpties doing nicking such a distinctive and low value (no offence, mate) car? I can only assume they took the risk breaking in to get the Elise or the Zed. Second, I can't agree with taking the keys etc upstairs. Plenty of these scumbags are quite happy to deal with any resistance from the homeowner and may well come looking. Unless you're pretty handy, my view is that a car/wallet etc can be replaced but you or your loved ones being attacked is to be avoided at all costs. Hope they get the bastards for you, mate! Get Ming on the case - he'll sort it!
  3. Welcome, Mike! Any good TVR ownership stories to share? I need to hear a few tales of woe each month to stop me from putting my deposit down! It's like a good and evil struggle.....
  4. How the F**k can an alloy wheel rust??? where did you dig this crap up fromVal?? They must have been some good old pot holes, I have some beauties round here and mine are still like new!! sounds like an American fool to me?? Isn't the lip stainless steel?
  5. A tonneau is a good idea to hide the contents of the boot from prying eyes but don't be fooled into thinking it'll make the car quieter - it doesn't. I agree with Dorian that the tonneau's which were made and sold on this site's predecessor by a guy called Stuart B are the dog's (I've got one ) but he doesn't make them any more, so looking out for someone selling on is your best bet. If you're handy, make your own but if you're a DIY numpty like me Nissan may be your only option. Oh, and welcome aboard!!
  6. Yeah, good old Nissan GB! Kat took the Micra in because there was a problem with the ignition. The stealer told her they couldn't find anything wrong and sent her away - seems to be the standard response to any problem at my stealers. Then about 2 weeks later we get a recall letter - there's a problem with the ignition!!!! Sorry to go OT but just an illustration of the quality of Nissan GB and ther delaer network. just an indication of the p1ss poor service dished out by the car industry as a whole not only do we pay more for our vehicles than anywhere else in Europe (may be the world I dont know !! ) we seem tio have the worst aftersales backup to boot Agreed. I approach any contact with any dealer braced for an argument and ready to be ripped off. It shouldn't have to be this way.....
  7. Hmmm. Food for thought for old Sarnie-boy!
  8. Mike, this seems to have become a personal issue between you and Liam that in IMO may be best dealt with by PM. However, even though I only shop on Ebay once in a blue moon I do find your Ebay posts interesting and I for one wouldn't want you to pack in. I suspect there will be plenty who feel the same - keep up the good work! Liam, chill mate! We're all friends on here and that's why I spend most of my time on this site not the OC.

  10. Looks good, Tim. Problem with these aluminium knobs is that they get too hot to touch in the summer (well not today I suppose ) and bloody freezing in the winter. I'd invest in some nice driving gloves now.

    WILL THEY FIT

I'm going with Falkens when my wheels come (there doesn't seem to be an impatient smiley!) in 245/35/19 and 275/35/19.
  12. Looks like a good price to me. Reckon they'll look in 20" with your bodykit, Sarnie. Go for it! Val, what's up with Ruff wheels?
  13. My leather never smelt like leather. Always put it down to the high quality of Nissan interiors.....
  14. Yeah, much as I love Autocar I'll be astonished if the feature is in depth enough to keep us happy. Now if Evo had done the same......
  15. I was going to use TDi North to have my new zorst fitted, like Jacko, but I can't get over there this weekend and I'm getting impatient. Where did everyone else get theirs fitted? Any horror stories?
  16. You could have just bought a copy, cheapskate!
  17. I find the clue is when the bottom of the tyre is almost flat to the rim, splayed out and the tyre's gone all squishy. No flies on me.
  18. Give me flies any day over spiders! Must stop reading this thread, its upsetting me.........
  19. I'll give it a try later on.
  20. Just opened this week's Autocar and they've got a new long-term Zed. Azure with Nismo bodykit, 19" wheels, sat-nav and GT pack - £36,120! The plan is to fit various Nismo aftermarket bits (already talking about seats) and see whether it improves an already fantastic car. Pics look great and as usual they're full of praise, although the standard seats and seatbelts of all things come in for some criticism. This is going to be interesting.....
  21. Don't trouble youself on my account.....
  22. No way!!! I've recently moved into an old house with loads of nooks and crannies and I'm dreading September when they come a-crawlin'. If I get any like that I'm moving out!
  23. Or another question - how many people have ever towed their Zed using the front towing hook?

    Tyre Roar

I think you took me a bit too literally, Ming.
