I'm disappointed if I get less than 370 from a tank to be honest I'm usually around the 380 mark, although with some motorway cruises I've had 440! I've always said with the rights roads and sensible throttle, 500 is possible Some figures based on 67 litres; (which is my usual fill up to the brim - DTE in single figures!!!) 350 Miles = 23.75mpg 370 Miles = 25.11mpg 390 Miles = 26.46mpg 440 Miles = 29.85mpg

one word - Autosol Grab a tube from Halfords, it's about a fiver IIRC and it looks like a toothpaste tube. It will restore the shine no matter how bad they are. I used about a quarter of the tube cleaning mine at first, but I now use a tiny amount maintaining the look. And it doesn't take two hours of elbow grease either - it really is top stuff

Just looking for some quick pointers re my next service. I'm looking to get most of the annoying fixes done in one go, so far I have; 1. Handbrake adjustment needs doing 2. Steering lock doesn't exist - strange problem I have to admit 3. Dashboard/binnacle rattle =- known issue Anything else I have forgotten? ps. I have already had the fuel valve thing replaced (semi known issue) and a replacement 02 sensor, right bank.
-
trashed then I suspect that's another thing for the dealer to fix... thanks anyway guys

Hi folks After reading a relatd thread somewhere, I thought I would pose the following question; does the Zed have a traditional steering lock? If yes, I think mine must be broken How far do you need to turn the wheel for it to engage?

go a little further up the M61 to Chorley Nissan (Chorey) they're pretty good. My MI light came on a month or so back, and I got a clue as to how to read the code myself from here. (strange process involving a stopwatch and a heavy right foot) Turned out to be a sensor glitch but they swapped straight away. Mine turned out to be 02 sensor, of which there appeared to be at least two of the things

By me if I remember correctly Dave is awesome, brought a hideous dent out of my deep blue Scooby
-
Jeez, glad I sold mine Although it's probably more to do with the fact that the JDM's are designed for 100RON as a minimum, so even sloptimax doesn't quite fit the bill. This coupled with the fact that most owners want to max it out all of the time has led to a *huge* number of engine failures... Subaru's... * *Having said that, my Scooby innterior (although as cheap as chips) was nowhere near as rattly as the Zed

Couldn't agree more Black looks totally unique when polished up, I can't believe the amount of looks/stares and "look at that beauty"'s that I get But that's about 5% of the time in winter, and say 40% in summer. In winter it turns into a two-tone GM after the motorway miles

Hi folks, As well as the plethora of weird sounds that my interior makes, something else has been bugging me for ages I have a few scratches on the door, the armrest really, just by the switches; don't suppose anyone has any insider tips on how to remove these??? Thanks all

Hi folks As you might have read in my previous thread, I had a 'code brown' MI light incident at the weekend and had to have the beast looked at. Anyway, full credit to Chorley Nissan who were excellent as usual. Phoned at 8.30 monday, had the car in for 2.00pm, diagnosed and part ordered by 3 - top stuff. Last time I had a problem, the service guy noted that my spare keyfob bippler was out of action, and promptly ordered me a new one, so I had that programmed today as well, again top marks to the dealer. However I now seem to have some rather strange 'problems' Firstly, I no longer have 'single click' opening, locking yes, but I have to double click to open the drivers door and double click for the passenger - cool. (are they all *supposed* to be like this as standard? ) Secondly, my new key will not allow me to use the CD player! When I use the key the CD player displays 'wait' for about 15 seconds, followed by 'secure' - what the smeg? (service key and day-to-day key work fine as usual) So I guess my second key is set up wrongly, back to the dealer! Ah well, such is life! ps. Dealer diagnosed 1167 02 sensor, thanks for the info guys!

booked in with Chorley Nissan at 2.00pm for a diagnostic session... let's see how that goes Full credit for booking it in at short notice
-
I'll be phoning the dealer 1st thing monday, and I don't plan to drive it (pain in the ass really) until I get it sorted. Hoping it's 02 as that seems like an easy fix
-
Well that does make me feel a bit better - sure it was the same code

P0166 O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 3) P0167 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 3) similar numbers from the link provided above - too much of a co-incidence? 350z tech have these; P1166 Heated O2 Sensor 2 P1167 Heated O2 Sensor 2
-
I've always known codes to be 3 digits, which is why I questioned it. However all of the codes of 350ztech (the US one) are 4 digits. Strangely, there are several 02 related codes. Even 1166 is Heated 02 Sensor 2. (I have (i think) 1167.) Are we saying this is dodgy one? I had a stopwatch with me, and all seemed to go well, the only off putting bit, was the second flash was marinally shorter than the first. But there were 4 distinct groups.
-
googled - Heated 02 sensor 2 - WTF - are there 3 of these things? - English por favor!!! I had one of these let go on my Scooby, does it do the same job? Does that sound right, are these things prone to that? So driving it to the stealer shouldn't present much of an issue?
-
...back, ok then, here goes nowt after following the instructions (thanks ) here's what the car said... 1 long flasg 1 slightly shorter flash (shorter I think?) 6 flashes 7 flashes I let this repeat a few times to make sure I had it - what's this mean folks
-
off to check this out
-
er, no idea! How do I find that out, strangely I had just filled up about a mile (2-3mins) before???
-
Hi folks Well, after several months of trouble free ownership I have my first potential problem. My engine management (the amber thing) came on today, and remained steady until I got home, some 3-4 miles. I phoned one Nissan dealer who said basically stop the car where you are and call the Nissan secret service or whatever. Anyway, doubting his technical prowess I phoned another dealer, who pointed out the information I had recieved had been wrong The dealer said it was fine to drive, but if it was consistently on after a number of drives, bring the car in. This ties up with the manual, which says for a solid light, book the car in, and also says 'you do not need to have your car towed' So, although I'm still under warranty I am having a slight 'code brown' moment. Any advice, anyone had this type of thing before..? ps. Check Engine lights, jeez, I thought I had left this crap behind with Scoobydom
-
mine is just the same I have the heavyweight 350Z mats up front, and I'm now after the bootmat, which I reckon will slip around far less. And look soooo much cooler

...Screenwash Holy crap, how big are those tanks Forget hosepipe bans, just get a couple of Zed owners to drain their tanks into the local reservoir...
