I should also check your towing eye actually screws into the thread , as on mine the thread in the car was totally different to the eye..a few more members have come across this problem..I had to tap the thread to the correct pitch for the eye on mine

the beauty of good quality watch's is they can easily be converted back to cash if required..I have sold the Jaeger Lecoultre recently and it made a healthy profit (bottom row 2nd from the right )
