You can always turn driver aids off on most cars, Lambo & 430 included. You can't turn off 4wd though, that's my point.

I think you have that the wrong way round bud. Take a look at the technology and electronics that keep a G on the road vs. an F430...... I'll give you one to start, 4WD vs RWD..... +1 I had an Impreza WRX a few years ago, (for Sarnie benefit it was 4WD). It had 235 bhp and in the real world on UK roads was much quicker than a Zed and much easy to drive fast. The Zed was stacks more fun though. Remember whez Jezza test drove a RS4 v's M3. The M3 was slower round the top gear track, yet he still said ne preferred the M3. the hooilans car being more fun.

I'd take the Ferrari any day. Anyone can drive a 4wd car, especially girls. Proper men drive rear wheel drive cars. Much more fun...

We got hit in my wifes car many years ago and the driver, (another woman), admitted liability at the scene of the accident, but later said we hit her. We were on an island BTW and she pulled out without seeing us. The insurance companies got involved and started to fight it out even though I thought it was pretty clear cut. No expensive hire cars involved either. Luckily I had a witness and provided a statement myself from him, otherwise they were talking about a knock for knock situation. I would check Sarnie, otherwise you could be up for a BIG bill.. Insurance companies always try and wriggle out of any costs they can. I also though that most will only provide hire cars as a short term measure, i.e. once the repairs are authorised the repairing garage should provide the car FOC or as a part of the repair cost.

I reckon the best days are long gone. Some of the older people on here will remember the days of open roads, even at weekends. Nowadays the only way to have fun is track days..

Yes sorry we got split. I was kean to look at some of the cars and meet some of the drivers with Steve. As you say a great atmosphere, with us Brits doing what we do best.. Tickets were £5.88 BTW if you followed the link on the first post. These were discounted by SELOC. Absolute bargain, all of our posse enjoyed the day even though we didn't get back till 8pm, (just in time for Top Gear I may add).. We're defo going to a few next year so hope to see you then. The Spa Francorchamps I fancy too.

Yea the 265 was a design exercise. Runs on Bio-Ethynol. Not as quick as the 300 bhp cars racing in class C yesterday..
