Nissan have increased their price on new supplies - out of my hands. I got a reasonable deal on the current batch, so increase is small. Retail is now £102.13 + VAT (i.e. £120.00), although we are enquiring into possible confusion on pricing by Nissan themselves. If anything gets resolved, the price will drop again, but no point in my selling at a loss!

That would be "MJP" of course...

@ What Mileage/ Age should the fuel filter be changed ?
mike@mjpauto replied to Jap Imports's topic in 350Z Technical
There is no serviceable fuel filter on the 350Z - it is integral with the fuel pump which is in the tank. -
Small price increase on new Nissan stocks of BT adapter. I'm afraid our forum price will now be £104.50 inclusive for members quoting the discount code. If you use www.mjpshop.co.uk, please ensure you note the code in the comments box on the order form!

I have access to parts from an import breaker plus awaiting confirmation on another (probably UK) car. 01277 374201.

The Z Club still has space in its booked area for a few more cars if anyone would like to join us. JapShow is a huge Show and Go event with all that's best from the Japanese car scene. Track access all day (three tickets for £15 or £20 for unlimited runs + your driving licence to be shown), Pro Shoot-out, trade stands, magazine stands etc. Call 01277 374201 for a Privileged Parking Pass which will get you into the Z Club section of the Club area. Also gets you past the queuing public if you arrive early enough! Not a free ticket, however - you still have to pay for entry at £15 per person at the gate

Bluetooth adapters are back in stock!! Fulfilling existing orders today - there will be some spares...
-
Now doubled up on back orders (first batch all pre-ordered), but still no word from Nissan when they will release these back to the dealers again. I ask every day and they are truely sick of me! If you want some from the first release, then pre-order now!

Picked up the leaflet on Shell V-Power today while topping up - it states that it is a 99 octane formulation. Claims "more power, improved acceleration and enhanced responsiveness". Subjectively, I thought the car felt good on V-Power, but maybe it's been too long since I last had a decent drive in it!

Reference my post in another Bluetooth section, all supplies of Bluetooth adapters to dealers (and therefore secondary suppliers) have been frozen by Nissan to allow them to service the retro-fit to '06 models. they have stock, but won't sell them for fear of tirades from hordes of '06 owners not getting their units. May take a while, as most dealers don't even know that Bluetooth adapters exist, let alone that they should be contacting '06 owners to come back for their unit to be fitted! I have a substantial back-order, but virtually all are now pre-booked. Call if you want me to top up the back order quantity. No date on when the freeze will thaw...

My phone (Nokia 6230i) only wants to connect to one thing at a time, e.g. if internet connected, I can't hook up my Bluetooth headset (for another vehicle, not the 350) without disconnecting from the internet first and vice versa... Perhaps more recent phones have multiple connect facility?
-
Latest information re. Bluetooth adapters - Nissan have frozen supplies to parts departments in order to ensure that they can satisfy supply to '06 buyers expecting their retro-fit... This makes next date of supply to me uncertain, but I'm expecting next week (maybe)
-
There is no problem with supply! I order, I receive, I sell, I reorder...don't put up with the sales idiots who obviously haven't even asked the parts guys to get them. At this rate the supplies will have run dry before any '06 owners receive the adapter - they'll all be in '03 - '05 cars!

On Z32 TT models running in excess of 1 bar boost they usually upgrade to a 555cc injector. Extreme engines will use up to 740cc injectors which definitely require engineering work on the manifold to fit. Engine capacity is, of course, 500 cc down on the VQ35...

Worldpay are also currently experiencing fake e-mails in the UK suggesting that a transaction on your account has been subject to send-back - usual link to click etc. Giveaway is that the link is for uk.worldpay. The official WorldPay site has a small banner at the top of the home page with warning and more details.

Unfortunately there is no integrated car phone system in the Roadster model - my comment implied that Nissan would not have fitted it due to the problems of volume and voice recognition with the top down. This leaves you with the option of aftermarket systems only...

Two only - original Nissan issue 350Z fitted car covers. List price £234.00 + VAT - these two available at dealer purchase price of £187.23 + VAT. Saving £54.95... Call 01277 374201 or PM. Two only!

I think it is likely that voice recognition features won't work properly with the hood down!

First batch of these all gone, however the original single unit I ordered ages ago arrives today and I have confirmed a second batch for delivery in the next couple of days - same deal for the time being. Pre-orders accepted - 01277 374201. Now on our Shop site - www.mjpshop.co.uk - note you are a web site member in the comments box and I'll waive the postage.

20% off list price on filters and stuff like that from MJP. Or you could use a K & N Performance Gold oil filter - resin impregnated filter medium, high flow rate, super fine mesh, low pressure drop design, heavy duty construction, anti-drainback valve to eliminate dry starts, 1" wrench nut boss for easy removal, cross-drilled for race wire security if required! How many more features can an oil filter have? In stock, £12.95 + VAT.

Tested one today - seconds to set up and reception perfect (unless you happen to be sat in the car you are calling with the test phone used to make the call...). Cuts into the stereo just the same, steering wheel stuff works just the same as the old system.
-
Units are 350Z specific and will integrate Bluetooth with the system built into the car by clipping the adapter into the console slot and tellling your phone to find it. A few left of the current batch - phone 01277 374201 to purchase...

The word today is that I will receive my first batch of Bluetooth adapters tomorrow!! Price will be £85.11 + VAT, post free, i.e. £100 dead. If you want one from the first batch, you will need to ring with card details to pre-order. Stocks from Nissan will be limited - I can reveal they have 95 in stock at 10-30am 29.06.06, but these won't last long when 4500+ 350Z owners realise they are available... Call 01277 374201 - now!
