Anyone interested in a Scottish meet?
Gus replied to JDM Performance's topic in Meets, Shows and Events
I agree that Sunday afternoon would be best for this time of year. S. Queensferry very handy for me, but happy to drive a bit for any west coasters. The front down at SQ gets very busy on a Sunday, may have trouble getting parked together, would be it be an idea to meet somewhere quieter ( although would undoubtedly be less scenic ). Route for a drive - don't know the roads in W Lothian that well, but Derek or Chris must know some decent roads out by Linlithgow, etc ?? Derek - last year's drive was good, should have had another one during the summer ! Do you know if Gordon has sold up, or just stopped posting ? Gus -
What a waste of 20 minutes of my life that was Don't agree with some of the comments and censorship on the oc ( although as some posts have been deleted then I can't see what they were ), but it also appears there were some people who were more than happy to stir it where appropriate , you know what i mean. I agree that if you don't wan't to read/comment about bmw's then don't read the "other Cars " part of the site - some people are just too easily wound up . I have to say that Snake's record , on a 350Z site, sounded broken after the first few posts though. Gus

Val, I'm pretty sure it's Interlagos, see http://nissanofgardengrove.com/2006_Nissan/Z_OptionsNew.htm They don't do Brickyard on the MY06 either Gus Edit: Ah, Val you've edited your post, so mine doesn't make sense anymore
-
The Nismo exhaust failed some EU noise level tests, so Nissan couldn't sell ait as an official accessory ( they were originally planning to ) Gus
-
Sarnie, Are they sure it's 2005, that the MY06 model ! Maybe the MY06 came out in 2005 in Japan of course ?????? So you are going to be unique yet again - first you have the only 2005 GT4 on an 06 plate, and now your thinking of getting an MY06 on a 55 plate - again probably the only one Interlagos Fire is a nice colour - you don't think it's a bit girly do you ? Would be the only thing to put me off Gus

Good to see they've finally dropped the quarter steering wheel trim, when ordering Alezan - I personally always thougt that looked particularly cack ! They just need to do the same with the knob and they may get a few more sales - although saying that, it is relatively simple to fix that one tourself with a nice Nismo Titanium one Looks fantastic mate Gus
-
That's the US version, I have the European version if anyone is interested Again, not sure how much difference there is Gus
-
If it's the UK version you want, then I have it in pdf format ( 2.2Mb ) and can email it to you if you PM me your email address. I've no idea what the differences are between this and the Jap version though. Gus ps If I email it to a mod, is there anywhere it can be hosted with a permanent link from somewhere, eg FAQ ?

I've got a Snooper Indago that works no problem sat in the cubby without an additional aerial. Some of the older Sat Navs didn't work very well in there, but most of them are now using some new internals ( someone will probably know the correct name ) that means it acquires the signal a lot easier. So, in answer to the question, if buying one of the premium brands new - yes should work, if buying an old one second hand, or perhaps some of the budget ones - possibly not Gus

Bluetooth Adapter Help - Please Don't Shoot Me..
Gus replied to JimmyJam75's topic in 350Z Technical
Even the 1200 is conservative. A mixture of driving styles is better than say a steady few hundred miles at a constant mway speed. Don't be afraid to red-line once over about 500 miles - it's good for the engine ! -
Dorian, you're joking right Firstly, this thread is not in "Other Cars", it is in "350Z General" so if you want it to be only about Kev's new BMW get it moved to the appropriate section. As it is in the 350Z section, I feel it is entirely appropriate to talk about a 350Z. Secondly, you're saying that everytime somebody talks about something that wasn't mentioned by the original poster, then it is off topic This is a forum where people discuss things, discussion means you introduce new ideas/suggestions/observations, relevant ( I agree not off topic ) to what is being discussed. Anyway, given your criteria, then in this post alone, why have you chosen to single out my remark ( which as I said was on-topic with the previous remark ) when the following have also been made :- Digsy and D4V3 GT4 - both mentioned test drives in Z4M Coupes Kev himself mentioned selling Zed bits Chesterfield talked about fitting a Grounding Kit to a Zed Baptist talked about how fast a M6 was A zillion more examples on this site, if you really want some more let me know Gus
-
Jon, At 499 bhp and 384 lb/ft for the M6, your shiny new re-built twin will pi$$ on that - yes ? And just think, you won't have spent £82K ( yet ! ) Gus Quite; Off-Topic and I doubt it Not any more off-topic than 90% of the other threads on here - Jon mentioned the speed of the M6, I followed up on that, relating it to Jon's car - how exactly is that off topic ?
-
Car was designed to be a coupe, not a roadster - the looks of the roadster with the hood up emphasizes this IMO. Looks OK with the hood down, but I personally wouldn't have the hood down very often. Roadster is also slower than the coupe Each to their own, though mate Gus
-
As you can see from the date on the photos, this guy has been trying to sell these for about a year now - really love this wheel, but in bronze would only suit certain colours, would look really good on a white car I think Gus

This was mentioned a couple of years back on the old site - can't recall if anyone confirmed whether it worked or not Gus
-
You might want to re-read that Gus - you just proved Stephen's point. BTW what the f88k is a vexillogillollogillist? David, you obviosly didn't read all that page, so I'll paste the specific bit I was referring to, ie about the BBC "The BBC website disregards the term "union flag" because of its "great potential for confusion", preferring union jack" Gus
-
The BBC ain't ever wrong on these sorts of things mate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_jack Unless you're a vexilloligist of course
