  2. Phil, How do I order a set of DS2500's Steve
  3. Good write up on OS-x and Vista. http://www.varbusiness.com/sections/tec ... queryText= Vista does not really shine.
  4. more info at http://www.stephengrant.com/sg_main.htm Will let him tell you the next date.
  5. Stephen, After the age or 16-18 I believe people choose their religion. If they where "given" one before that age, then at 18 they are likely to have the freedom to choose to believe or not, or to choose another religion. Therefore they have chosen just like I have with cream cakes and pork pies. Thats my point. But we here less and less jokes about religion nowadays. Still insist that Stephen’s DVD is worth a fiver, or even at full price its still worth it. The show is better still, almost as good as his Zed.
  6. As a fat boy, I do not think it is fair game. With that thought process, then everyone that is religious are fair game as that has been chosen, people who are poor because they have the potential to earn more, badly educated people because they did not pay attention at school, the list can go on and on. Quite often (and NOT in my case as I am just lazy and like eating,) many fat people use it to overcome symptoms of depression. So poking fun at them just makes the situation worse. I think we should hurl abuse at overly moderated forums and moderators on certain forum that have lost touch with reality. (Do you think I really have a personal agenda here,…not) PS Not saying Stephen's show is bad, I went recently and it was great and would recommend it again and again. I even purchased his DVD, full price not at the OC subsidised price by the way.
  7. Who took that pic of me, honest anyone going to the stonesfield drive will see.
  8. Sorry chap, should read all the comments properly as was just a little worried with engine changes mentioned. Everything is going good with me, hope you and the missus are well. All my time is take up with trying to find a place in France, half the bloody country is in a flood zone so just when you find one you like, then it all falls apart. You coming down to the Oxford drive out on Saturday.
  9. Most digi camera's come with PhotoShop elements, use the "Save for Web" option and this will drop the size and you can select the size also, therefore should always fit.
  10. Cheers Digsy, I have a 54 non GT4 so should be okay, just have to live with gearbox problems instead.
  11. Is there a particular range/batch of cars effected.
  12. the web site say mid may...... http://www.angleseycircuit.com/index.htm So will be good to go by the time we have better weather. They tend not to have issues with noise as it is in the middle of no where and half circuit open to the sea so Kev can take the cossie.
  13. Circuit is still getting re-done. Do not know when it will be finished. Looks interesting and possibly 2-3 different sub-section ala Bedford. The old track was good.
  14. Be very careful if ordering the Hub, I have a UK spec car and when it was replaced Nissan sent the dealer the wrong part twice. My car was off the road for 4-5 weeks waiting for the bit to come in. If in doubt phone the Reading Nissan dealer main Mech and ask which part no they used for my UK spec one and the part no of the wrong one. If they ask then explain that steve with the Z which has the ugly front recommended you call them.
  15. sl114 choptop Sarnie (aka spamalot) Andy + 1 Mugwump (so he can buy Sarnie a pint) JohnK charlied Captint H5 + 1 WoREoD Steve B
  16. I am okay for 12.30 Coming from Oxford so happy to meet on a34 or a44. steve
  17. Kev, Just not worth it now as he and a couple of other just wastes your time, I have better things to do. I only added to the Trackday thread since I know you may have issues with noise and did not want you to find out too late. This is very friendly place to be, no one has attitude and they are helpful without demanding money. They accept people with different viewpoint so I really appreciate it.
  18. Not as quiet as some other places. Are you still going as can convoy for short while up the 34.
  19. Kev, You best be careful or you may even get banned just for talking about BMW engines.
  20. Mathys, Not just at certain rev's. If you leave a load on whilst changing, then you get it straight away. What I mean is if you let the engine slow right down then it seems to okay, but if you leave your foot slight on the accelerator then it crunches. Mostly happens when joining motorways where you get up to 70ish in 4th then change to 6th since the traffic does not permit higher speed, hence staying at 70 and missing 5th out. Just take it too the dealer, take out the tech and show him, then they will do the work. Problem is NMGB may go cheap option which is change only the gears needed rather than complete box. Try to get a box if you can but does not always work out that way. Steve
  21. Had same issue back in June 05, they changed the synchro's. Then it started again aug/sept 06, they changed synchro again in Nov. Now when cold and not started for a couple of day, i.e., oil fails off, then does it with 5th. So back to the garage in the new year. Try for a new box if you can. Steve
  22. Quick question, what time will we be finished. Just my tight a55 company having our x-mas do on the 13th with free beer, but said I would do this one first. Jut wondering if this is an afternoon session may make both. Steve
  23. Was really good day out last year. (little bit too chav'ish but good to see everyone’s mods) Cannot believe how quick those little cars next to our stand going round the track. Will be in out on track somewhere else that weekend. Have a great time.
  24. Bridgestones on first, okay in dry but in wet seemed pants. Next was Dunlop SP9000, did not get on with them so took them off after 2k miles. (I think they go off badly when really pushing it on track) Then Toyo R1, best bet for grip, however was more wear, did 12k still so not that bad. (really good for track work.) Now got the SP's back on for another 1k and not convinced. So back to Toyo when these wear out.
