  1. Gents Bedford is strict, I have been thrown off even on a LoT day. They say that there is a direct feed straight back to the local council for the 3 drive-by noise meters. The problem was in the 7, the Zed passes the test easily, seen over 50 different Elise-Exige there so would be surprised if Kev would fail. Static is quite easy to pass but drive by is hard to fool, and backing off is you only option If in doubt, any "local" MSVR track will do a noise test before you book. Bedford is worth it in a Zed as long and sweeping bits so you will keep up with the lightweight boys. PS also done many track days with EasyTrack and they are great too so big thumbs up.
  2. Okay now going as Paul getting me a ticket. He also says pits and paddock will be open all days so if you want I can introduce you both to a couple of the drivers and have a look around the cars. Plan to get there sometime between 10 and 11, want to find good area to watch first race at 12.30
  3. Really want to but need to see as Steve Butts on hols and Ben racing so will be on own which sucks. Might try to get behind the scenes/pits to keep occupied. Will let you know before Sat.
  4. Kev, H5 are you going to the Seloc party or not. Still not sure if I will be going as missus now working.....
  5. IIRC my contract says that I must have a full license. If I lost it they could sack me, therefore why should he not loose his job just because he is in the Force. My wife is a commity midwife and if she did not have a license then would have to change roles and may lead to drop in pay scales at minimum. Cones are generally there to protect the people working in that zone, if he hit a worker at 110 then it would not just be the worker dead but likely him too. Sorry just thing people in that job should know better.
  6. I have done maybe 5+ days with them and very safe and fun. They will be mixed ability and different class of cars but as long as you keep that in mind you will be okay. They have 3-4 instructors there so worth booking that if you are a novice. Been to both Abingdon and Hullavington, pefer Abingdon as I live in Oxford and also suits a 7, Hullavington does have 2 long straight so better for a Zed unless your name is Giles and you come off track and and through the cones. We had 6ish Zeds at both. Just book one up as you will love it
  7. Both great looking cars and your welcome any time over here.

  9. Britain's most senior traffic policeman is to be prosecuted for speeding http://uk.news.yahoo.com/pressass/20071 ... e80_1.html
  10. Steve Williams runs a duratec....as close are you are going to get to a RS engine. Not confirmed to go yet but they are a great bunch....do not let them take the P out of 7's breaking down or drivers forgetting to take spare brake pads. Steve PS do not try to out drink Burt or you will be sorry. For the first race many stayed at the Hotel at the entrance, worth looking into if you are travelling a long way and you may bump into some familiar faces. Are you going then Steve.I'd love to meet some of the guys. You'll have me selling the Cossie and buying a race car to enter the LoT Series next....Noe there's a thought. Maybe a Cossie powered S1 Exige... Come on you London guys, surely a Zed Club stand would be an incentive.
  11. You now a convert.... Let me know if you want introduced to some of the drivers or Paul who organises it. All others this will be great and I thing Martin (ex F1 driver ) will be there again. PS if we could get 20ish would be worth getting a box.
  12. I use http://www.warehouseexpress.com/ and good service and normally one of the cheapest unless you go for grey imports.
  13. I have them on the front only as I thing the rears look ugly. Got them from Courtesy in the states pre-paint and are perfect paint match.
  14. Ultima not a bad car looks wise and practicality on the road for what it is. Chap who build my 7, built his own Ultima and looked great. One problem was that the engine was kind of inside the cabin with thin bulkhead therefore noise was major issue. Fit a great big yanks block in the car and get a very cheap super car.....think his was less than 50k to build (not 700BHP but over 500)
  15. Think there is others on x-mas do..... PS LoT are putting some dates up next year, no many yet but its a start. Also looks like a Lotus evening event at Brands but not sure of date.
  16. Bap Still not heard anything from either PM or follow on post...are you still selling this as I have the money waiting and sure it would not fit on your porker.....
  17. Kev, get that that jap engine changed back tot he original and best....a K series as you cannot beat a Rover. You taking it to any of the meets before Christmas as would be good to have a look around it.
  18. Starting to sound like a plan.....any others....would love to see either a 335i or 535d if there is one hiding out there. Could still get North Weald during the week, with the winter weather it would be less wear-tear for everyone's tyres. Don't forget me
  19. Good man phil, In that case to put my money (not much mind) where my mouth is, do you still do the PIAA wiper blades complete kit for front , if so can you put my name down and will call you Monday with CC details.
  20. Phil, Is that for this club ALSO, if so double thumbs up phil get your orders rolling in.
  21. Once its ready we need to get a Zed, your new baby, baps white thing a certain black HSV and my cat out and see what can be done with each. Enjoy in the mean time, sure it will be ready for easter. PS jealousy as mine only goes to 82-8300 and cannot be there for a 30 secs as twenty year old 1.8 rover engine is just not up to a long haul.
  22. Another thumbs up for Phil as he supplied my pads straight away and was helpful with advice on which to get. Only one thing I would like is if some one from this site buy from Phil, then like the OC the club get a rebate back, think they get 1% which is is not a lot but it all helps and since we do not charge our members then we need the money even more than them.
  23. Stick around on both sites as great people here too. Zedrush...respect.
